Thanks, I try sending her an email. She isn't too new as she has over 250 feedbacks. Maybe she just got busy. :p

"would you mind leaving me some feedback on our recent transaction?

Believe it or not, she could report you for spamming her if that is the only reason you would be writing. While it might be that she doesn't know about feedback, doesn't feel like leaving it, she may want to wait and leave it for several at a time.

To lower the risk that she might find you to be a pain and report you..if you are going to write her anyway, I would just say.."since you are fairly new, I wanted to make sure you checked out the feedback I left..I know it's always a thrill when a new eBay user gets feedback. If you are so inclined, I would appreciate feedback being left for me. Thanks"

If I get an email that the item has arrived, I used to let them thank them for letting me know, and let them know I'm off to leave positive feedback, now that I know the item arrived safely (although my feedback is now automatically left through Vrane, so I no longer do this) and let them know I would appreciate feedback being left for me.

However, I have to say, that it might be best to just skip this. I know one gal on another eBay board who leaves the following when asked to leave feedback (she leaves a positive)..

There..happy? She asked, so I left feedback.

Is it rude? I think so, but maybe this person doesn't want to leave feedback at this time.

..........when I return from AKL!! Leaving Sunday for Raleigh and then onto Orlando - we'll be telling the kids when we wake them up EARLY on Wednesday morning!

I do feel that I've gone through eBay withdrawal - I just didn't want to have anything hanging out there while I was on vacation. When we get back I can start saving for our next trip!!!:D

wdwpluto - thanks for posting about the Jersey Gardens Character Outlet - I hadn't heard about it, and now I have a GREAT excuse to go shopping next time I'm visiting my parents in NJ!!:)

Whoo hoo! I'm going to Disney World and eBay helped me pay my way!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I didn't see this..why not look and see what she has left for others..maybe she doesn't leave feedback. It should give you a clue as to how often she leaves it.

LOL!!

Christine, I know the thought of surgery, no matter what, can give you the willies but have faith! I will be praying for you Monday!

You guys are so funny!

In the last week or so I have done really well with clothes and shoes. All are going and most are going for 5-6 times the original listing amount.

The wildest thing happened! I picked up a booklet on stamp collecting, published in 1949, for a quarter at a flea market. This evening I was looking through it page by page to decide what, if any, interior pages to photograph, and I found a bunch of old stamps tucked into the back pages. 7, to be exact. 5 of them are a continuous row of 3 cent Liberty stamps, 1954, I think, and then 2 foreign stamps. We've been spending the evening trying to search the internet to see if we can figure out what they are.

I'm trying not to get too excited by this discovery, but if nothing else, this adventure is proving to be really interesting.

I keep saying that it's the quarter purchases that are the best for me! I'm gonna stick with that!

:bounce: Doncha just LOVE discoveries like that, Mrs. Snowgod????

The best part is going to the person with a poker face on asking for the price...... I try not to let on I know the value!! :teeth:

kilee, I am CONVINCED that back to school and the tax refund checks are kicking up sales! I've made 12 sales on BIN in just two days! Thank GOODNESS the slow days of summer are gone but I sure needed them to get through my learning curve!!

I hope people don't spend all their refund money in the next week. We are going out of town and I have a bunch of clothes and stuff to list after we get back on the 10th.

I just had two eBay firsts today. I left my first negative feedback and later got an e-mail from eBay congratulating me on my first year anniversary. When I left the neg I noticed that the bidder no longer had a zero next to her name, but a negative one. Now she or he has a negative two.
When the bidder won my auction I noticed the zero but realized we all have to start somewhere, but this person never completed checkout, never responded to me or eBay and, from what I can tell, did the same thing to other seller who negged her.
Why on Earth would someone go to all the trouble of signing up with eBay, bid on auctions, then stiff the seller?:(

For those who were stuck in the eBay non workingness of July 30th..here is a letter posted on another board, just to let you know you can get credit for those items (the I, in this letter is not me).:

If you had auctions that closed between 19:15 and 20:08 PDT on July 30, - and didn't get bids because bidders were not able to access your auctions - you might be happy to know that eBay is providing credit as it was suggested here earlier.

I went to the Online Help section - then navigated through to sending a message from the help section - under the category: I was expecting credit to my account - where is it? (That's close to the actual language used by eBay.)

They responded in just a few hours - asked for the item numbers affected (should have provided them up front to speed the credit process) - and today, 2 days later, they have credited my account.

Just thought I'd bring that back to your attention if you were frustrated by the down service on Wednesday evening.

DMRick,

That's good to know... thanks for posting that info. I've been spending time recently reading the Answer Center info on the ebay community section. That really provides some good insight. I'd recommend it to all the semi-newbies who have started after getting inspired by this thread!

Kay1, I just can't figure it, either. Why do people have to be intentionally destructive and wierd? I just keep looking for the good in people, and fortunately, I mostly find it. Hopefully you'll find alot of good buyers soon, too.

I had a winner that used buy it now with -3 feedback. 10 days later I tried to leave feedback and could not, her email address not longer worked either, wonder if Ebay finially "removed" her?

Should clothes start going soon? I've been doing really good on the items I make, but the clothes haen't gone at all. Just curious?
Thanks All!:D

After waiting for 2 years I'm finally going to start this weekend. I was just wondering how to set a starting price. I don't plan on setting a reserve and am planning to set my starting prices pretty low. Is this a good idea or am I risking getting too low a price for my items? I know that when I bid on auctions I always look for a low starting bid because I'm always hoping to get a bargain!

I set the price at the amount I'm happy to be getting. Many, many times, that's just what I got..the starting price. eBay has a lot of people looking for bargains (even you admit to that LOL!)and many people use eBay as a "store"..and start at what they are happy to be getting. You can never count on bids.

Good luck with yoru sales!!
Doris

Boy..eBay may be slower this time of year..but I put stuff up today (first time in a month..ahh, I loved that vacation) and I can't believe all the looks! Only one sale on a Dutch so far, but wow..lots of lookers!! Higher numbers than usual.

That's great to hear, Doris. I've had lots of hits also, and though it was a really slow week for bids, I did sell 3 BINs to the tune of $82. But 11 other items sat all week with only 1 bid until last night, then 2 more. But I won't complain... BINs are so great!

Just set up 7 more on Turbolister, and after reading your post, decided to upload tonight instead of waiting for tomorrow. I know Sunday is supposed to be so good to end on, but wouldn't Saturday night be good, too?

I find I do my best sales on Sunday, hands down. I just listed 2 exact same items. One ended yesterday late afternoon (eastern time) and it went for 11.50. The other one is set to end late afternoon today (sunday) and as of last night when I last checked (around 11:30 pm eastern time) it was only at 5.50. Well as of this afternoon with just a few hours left, it has already tripled in price. Personally I'd go with Sunday endings whenever possible.

That's helpful info. I rarely have multiples of the same thing, so it is hard to compare for me... but your example says a lot.
