I have a couple questions about printing Priority Mail labels online. I don't have a scale yet, so I'm just using it to get the free DC. So since I'm not paying for postage anyways, what do I put for weight? Also, do you really have to ship it the day you print out the label? Sometimes, I end up working late and can't mail it until the next day, so would I have to print another label?

I found something that all you Garage Sale and Estate Sale people may want to keep your eyes open for. Old Viewmaster reels sell very well on Ebay.
There are lots of them that are well into the $25-$50 range. :)
It looks like the really old ones do better as always.

I pay for my postage at the post office, too. I just put my best estimate of the weight because you have to put something in. Since they weigh the box at the post office, it gets calculated there anyway. At least, that's how it works at my post office.

You can actually print out the label a few days ahead of time. I even use a post office other than my own zip code and can enter that information as well. It's at the bottom of the "Label Information" page where you input your address and the address to be shipped to. You can prepare the label up to 4 days in advance.

Secondly, I have some items that I want to list that won't cost me much to ship and I want to offer free shipping to try to stimulate sales.. Can I put "free shipping" right in the title or do I have to put it on the auction page within the description?

I've put Free Shipping with BIN in three auctions IN THE TITLE and all three sold in a day! I just do what the retail markets do, roll the rate right into the total.

I only do this with things that can be mailed media mail, which is always cheap anyway, so it's a win win for both of you.

Thanks nuke and lori for the info on what is HOT on eBay. I am a major estate and garage sale person and this kind of info is priceless!!

I had a bidder on an item with a -3 feedback, haven't heard from them and it's been 5 days!!!!!!! What's up? I thought Ebay revoked their bidding privileges after 3 negatives???? These were all different sellers.

Their bidding privs. get revoked after 3 NPBs, not 3 negatives. This may have been a bidder that paid very late or that was a PITA. If the Sellers didn't file an NPB against them, then they can go as far negative as Sellers are willing to let them.

As to C Ann's question about this. Yes, you can go into the Bid History of your auction and cancel a bid. You have to put in a reason. Usually you will state in your auction that "You have the right to cancel bids from anyone with 10 or lower feedback" or some such threshold. To do this just go to your auction's Bid History page and click on the "Cancellations" link. This will bring you to the page where you can enter the Auction # and Bidder's Id and a reason for the cancellation.

I hope all of you who had auctions ending yesterday and today were pleasantly surprised in the end... I sure was!

I had 8 auctions ending today and 4 sold, but boy, did they ever! 3 of the 4 got bid up to substantially more than my starting price, and it was all in the last 24 hours. So all that frustration watching them sit there all week ended well after all.

I continue doing well reselling yard sale and flea market stuff. I am developing a thing for $0.25 items. I get my most incredible profit margin off of them and it has become almost like a lucky charm! Today I listed a vintage kitchen item new in package that I picked up yesterday for a Quarter, and it got a 1.99 starting bid within an hour of the listing going up. Gotta love it!

Hope every body has a good selling week!

:D

argggghhh I have a non paying bidder(auction ended 7/05) Tried the invoice and reminder through ebay and have emailed several times with no luck. I can't find the link to where you report a NPB and refund your fees

HELP!

I need to ship some China I sold that I received a personal check for, however, I forgot to keep the customer's address and I have no reference to it anywhere. I emailed the customer but have not heard back and this shipment needs to go today. Is there anywhere on Ebay I can get her shipping address.

Thanks,

Martha

If you go back into the link you used for the payment reminder, it will give you access to the links for NPB form. It is a 2 or 3 link process, but that will get you there.

Too bad... hope you get paid!

I believe you can pull up the buyers contact info and the address that they registered with should be there. Just be sure to use Delivery Confirmation on the package though in case they have recently moved..

Carol or one of the other Ebay vets could you please tell me where I can find a packing order for shipping. I don't know if that made sense or not, but I want to print off something that shows what I'm sending the auction winner. I've looked through PayPal, Turbo Lister & even Andale and I can't find what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance. Sandy

Thanks,

It only has a phone number and city and state. Is it bad to call them directly. I hate to but I am leaving town and hate to bring the china with me.

Martha, I would definately call the buyer. It would possibly seem a bit wierd to get a call regarding on-line matters, but OTOH it is better than keeping the buyer waiting. At least the buyer will know you are calling for their benefit.

Good luck!

Martha if you have the phone number you could possibly look up the address in the white pages on the internet if their number isn't unlisted. I did this when I lost the address to the person who bought our truck and needed to mail the title to him. I believe it is called a reverse phone look-up or something like that then it saves you the phone call. I used the white pages on MSN which is my home page.

Walgreens has Scotch brand mailing tape buy 1@1.99 get one free. It's 3in wide and 54.6yards.
Hope that helps someone.

Sandy, if the buyer pad you through PayPal, there is a nice Packing Slip available in there. From your account summary, click the details of the payment transaction, then at the bottom of that screen there is a link to "create a printable packing slip".

When a buyer does not pay me with PayPal, I use either a print of the listing or a print of the email documenting the end of the auction with the winning bid.

Hi everyone. I haven't been posting in awhile but glad to hear some of your auctions are doing well. Mine are doing pretty good but did list a whole lot in the last few weeks. My grandfather passed away and I wasn't sure if I was going to be leaving town or not. I ended up not going and I will spend the money later to visit my grandma when she gets more lonely.

I figured out how to do the online shipping labels. Since I ship everything Priority Mail and always use DC this will really help alot. Finally got it to work for me. My computer kept locking up before so I am very glad I can use it now.

So sorry to hear about your Grandpa.. My condolences to you and your family..

I'm glad to hear that you got the Shipping Assistant program to work for you.. My computer still freezes up every now and then, but it's not nearly as bad as it was before and I LOVE saving money on the DC!!

I was supposed to leave for the lake this past Friday/Saturday, but I've been waiting for the VA to send my DH's med and it STILL hasn't come!! I'm so angry I could spit! I called again today and they swear it was mailed last week but if it doesn't come by tomorrow then - and only then - can I go over to the hospital and "pick up a few pills".. Meanwhile my DH took the last of this med on SATURDAY!!! I'm nervous because it's his high blood pressure med, but the VA just won't work with me.. GRRRRR..

My DD, son-in-law and granddaughter have been up there waiting for us since Friday - they're on vacation.. Hopefully we can go tomorrow..

I've put the time to good use.. Catching up on my eBay and Paypal bookkeeping; cleaning the clutter around my desk/computer; taking photos of things to list; and between yesterday and today I managed to get over 70 auctions up and running.. Not let's just hope the elusive buyers come out of the woodwork.. LOL

Martha if you have the phone number you could possibly look up the address in the white pages on the internet if their number isn't unlisted.

Still use the Delivery Confirmation if you do a reverse search. I had a friend that moved over a year ago and when I went to look up his zip code the websites either had his old address or no address at all. :(

I've gotten two emails tonight from people who have won auctions from me several weeks ago.. Both people sent me personal checks (via the mail) and have already received the items they won..

Tonight one of them got a payment reminder from ebay!

And the other got a "Congratulations! You have won..." notice from PAYPAL (how would they even know about this - considering she didn't USE Paypal?) for the auction that ended over two and a half weeks ago!!

Also, I received ANOTHER email from someone asking when I was going to ship their item - after I had already emailed her with a ship date via the eBay site.. She never received the email!!

First there was the search problems - now this.. Why do I feel like I'm on the edge of what could be a horrible, horrible NIGHTMARE??????? :(

Wow C.Ann I hope they get that straightened out!!!

I have a question on the shipping assistant Delivery Confirmation. Since you don't get a postmarked receipt - is it really valid proof that the item was sent. I was just wondering since this is the first time I have used it. I go to a little P.O. inside a drug store and the lady there - she been there for years - asked me if I needed to copy the number down and then I started to think about it. It's still great saving that extra money.
