You HAVE to try this!! EBAY your way to DISNEY Part 2!!!!

The pen/light I bought was $6.99 Buy It Now.

An abbreviated version of my shipping terms is on every auction page. I also have a link to my ABOUT ME page, asking bidders to be sure to read my policies before bidding.

I don't use USPS Shipping Assistant. I have my own set up for making labels and the Shipping Assistant isn't as quick as mine. Strickly a personal thing with me. Other have said it's great.

phorsenuf would you mind emailing me or I can email you?? I've been having problems with the PM's, never seem to get them until weeks later.

I've had that happen-------- but never a year later. Wow!!! Nervy!!! :earseek:

You can either forgive or not. Everyone has problems. I've had heard, "I can't pay you because my father died." more times than I care to count since January.

Has anyone kept Stamps.com after the trial period? Is it worth it? I rec'd the scale and the postage credit and I really do like using stamps.com, looks very nice when printed out but was wondering if it's worth the monthly fee. I don't use for EVERYthing and I'm thinking you'd almost have to for it to be worth the fee. thanks,

Personally I would NOT excuse someone who I filled a NPB on. Yeah they may have a legit excuse but how am I to know it is not just a load of bull?

If the gal decides to go ahead and pay you, you can then "reverse" the npb. You do just like you were filing out the npb, but fill out that you were paid. Only way I would reverse it was if I got paid.

I think that she had ample time to respond to emails or contact me thru eBay before I filed for my fees to be returned. Am I wrong in feeling this way? I've never had something like this come up b/c I've been fortunate that most of my buyers pay me and do so in a timely manner. I think the window of opportunity for this chick has long since closed. I wouldn't even know how to "excuse" her from the sale. What does everyone else think?

Yes, I received an email like this once, from a bidder who had about 8 negatives for non-payment (obviously not all of the sellers filed NPBs or he would have been kicked off after 3-4 non-payments).

Not only did he email asking me to be excused from the NPB--when I didn't respond, he sent me the same email over and over, with the headings "FIRST NOTICE," "SECOND NOTICE," "THIRD NOTICE", etc. I forwarded his emails to Ebay with a note of complaint, and they assured me they would put a stop to his emails, which they did.

However, apparently he shamed/intimidated enough other people into rescinding their NPBs that he did get reinstated to Ebay! And to boot, he's had multiple negative feedbacks for non-payment since he was reinstated. Geesh!

So (probably needless to say), no, I would not rescind an NPB--sounds like she earned it fair and square.

Hi all! Long time lurker here!

My fiance and I started selling items on Ebay last month. Last Thursday (4/22) a buyer won one of our auctions and paid via PayPal that same day. We shipped the item out Saturday morning (4/24) via USPS First Class. Our TOS clearly state that the item will ship within 2 business days of payment, which it did. Between Tuesday (4/27) and yesterday we have received 4 emails from this buyer asking where the item is. The subject of the last email was "Where is my [item]?" He states in his emails that he has not received any response from us and wants to know where his item is. We have responded to his email all 4 times and twice emailed him through Ebay's send an email to the buyer feature. He has an AOL email address. We are worried he will leave us negative feedback for noncommunication. Any suggestions on what we can do here? The auction closed one week ago today, so it's not like the item is taking an unreasonable amount of time to arrive in his mailbox. His ID has been registered on Ebay since 2001 but he only has 10 feedbacks received, all are positive.

TIA!

In these days of free cell phone minutes (if you have them), I would just pull her contact info and call her. If she has AOL, she may need to check her spam folder..you may be in it.
Did you use delivery confirmation? If so, be sure to send her the number.

I would bet your emails are going into their spam folder.

Okay, I need advice again. I sold a book through half.com this morning. I packaged it and confirmed the order as I was about to go out and figured I would mail it ASAP. Then I get this email:

I would like to ask you to cancel my book order #243703437327 for Better Homes and Gardens Making Home. I realize this is an inconvenience but my daughter already purchased this book and I was going to give it to her for Mother's Day. Thanks

Within an hour of purchasing the book they've changed their mind. From what I can gather through half.com's help faq's I may not get all of the fee returned to me if I refund their money, not to mention the cost of the envelope I used and the tape--plus the $11 they paid for the book. It's not a lot of money, but very aggravating.

I tend to not think clearly when I get angry, so do I refund and lose out?

Is it possible to offer a partial refund deducting your costs? If I made a mistake like this I would be happy with that solution.

Hmmm, I'm not sure.

"The maximum refund for any item is the original item price (including shipping charged) plus return shipping.

When refunding to a buyer, put the total amount you wish the buyer to receive into the refund page. Half.com will calculate how much commission you paid and deduct it from the amount you are refunding the buyer. The difference will be debited from your seller's account.

In some cases, sellers may be credited slightly less than the full commissions."

It sounds like maybe I can, huh?

Well I just had my first bid retraction.
I was ammazed to see that this buyer has done 11 bid retrations in the past 6 months. Why does ebay allow this? Why don't they enforce their rebid policy? IMO bid retractions should be simular to NPB a certain amount and the buyer is suspended.

Darn...you already shipped it!

Tell them you're sure they won't have any problem listing it on Half and reselling it.

The way i read that is that Half will only refund the buyer cost less commission.
It's a little difficult to understand, but I've had trouble understanding almost everything I've ever looked up in their faq's, and getting a "real" answer from a "real" person at half is like pulling teeth.

Of course they also say this:
"Once a buyer has placed an order, it cannot be cancelled without the seller's authorization. You are not obligated to cancel an order unless there is a problem with the item."

Which I understand perfectly, lol. :p

Has anyone had any experience with drop shippers? Any experience with the Dave Espino program for auctions for income?

Have you contacted them at all? Hopefully not. I would put it in the mail today, as planned and tell them sorry the item has already shipped. :teeth:

You know, I love that very creative solution!
