I have a "newbie situation" and I'd appreciate any help/input. I sold an electronics item last week, and had to wait for an "echeck" to clear my PayPal account. Once it cleared, I created the shipping label. Soon after, I get an email from the person who bought it saying "<>have you shipped item yet?". That's it. I replied that yes, I had, as the payment had just cleared. Then, 2 days later, I get another email, asking "i paid in full, could you leave feedback?" (I'm copying direct quotes). So I felt trouble brewing, but replied that I thought it was customary to leave feedback after I knew the item was received in good condition. I checked delivery confirmation 2 days later, saw that it had been received the day before, so I assumed since I'd heard nothing that everything was ok. WRONG! I left feedback yesterday evening, and about an hour later, I get an email saying that "we have a problem, the item does not work." Now, it worked before I shipped it. What do I do at this point? I already emailed the person, and said to return it, (even though the auction stated "as is, no returns"), because I want to be fair. I said that I will reimburse him, and shipping, too if it doesn't work when it gets here. Am I being scammed? Am I doing the right thing? Sorry this is so long, it just lets a lot of the wind out of my sails, makes me want to forget about ebay. Please help, all you experts!
