You HAVE to try this!! EBAY your way to DISNEY Part 2!!!!

Having just completed the process - no it is not immediate. I still had to go through the NPB process and wait ten days to get my fees back. :(

I wish ebay would have a comments section when filing NPB and requesting FVF credit. I didn't want to do it (file the NPB) against this user because someone else hacked his account (at least that's what he told me a week after the auction ended when I finally got email to him without going through PayPal or ebay). His FB was over 300 and mostly postives, many about quick payment, etc. Gotta feel bad for the innocent.

Also, I notice on eBay that the other sellers specify "money order or CASH payment via Paypal - no credit cards".. Is that something I should consider too? Should I put a reserve? (The face value is $456.80)

The only way you can "sell" your credits on SW that I know of, is to give someone your cc number, since you need that to use them. On eBay people are selling their rewards cards (although sw says they are not transferable, so people usually sell something with them). Do you know something I don't know..that allows you to sell your credits? I have come darn close to losing some of mine, and never knew there was a way to sell them.

I never realized there were so many NPB, guess I have been very lucky so far.

I actually am keeping up with this thread, let's see what happens when it reaches 100 pages.

I see what people are saying I have 78 auctions up only 10 have bids. Hopefully things will sell better as they get closer to closing. Should since it is mostly Disney items and I do pretty well with them.

ebay id: lmt516 (that's a lower case L)

Yes - there is a way you can sell them.. When I made the reservations for my sister to go to Florida the gal at SW told me the only info needed for such a transaction is the name of the person who is holding the credit - no CC# needed. Once they verify the credit is available a reservation can be made in anyones name to anywhere SW flys, within the time frame before expiration.. Or - as in my case - I already have reservations for my DD and I to fly to Nashville in May.. If I choose to sell those funds all I would have to do is to provide the buyer with my name and the confirmation number and they can go ahead and change it to wherever, whenever..

Of course I didn't sell mine to my sis, but I could have made the reservation in your name or anyone elses for that matter..

So it looks like you will either have to make their ressie for them, or give them your name and confirmation number. I know on eBay you have to "pretend" to be selling something else too, since SW doesn't really allow you to "sell" the rewards or tickets. Hopefully you'll recover all of your money, although it would be nice if you could go to Dis for a long weekend with your family.

I would only take cash or money order for these myself, since they could do a chargeback on Paypal after they have transferred.

I am so discouraged right now.

First I have the winning bidder who emailed me to say she would not pay. All my emails to her were returned to me, so I filed NPB on her.

Then a winning bidder shows up as suspended. "No longer a registered user." And she still wants to know how to pay me for the items and when they will ship.

Then last night I get an email from one of my first winning bidders saying she still hasn't received package, two weeks later.
I check all info, delivery confirmation.
Forward it to her. She emails me back to say, that is not my address and have never heard of it?

All of her ebay and paypal info say that is her address??????

I forwarded all the info and copies of everything I have to her. So I guess we will see what happens next.

She said she checked her info and it has her correct address (not the same address I have).

What the heck is going on?
I am very discouraged by all this.

I told her if package never shows, I will gladly refund her money.

What else can I do?

Have her send you that info via email - WITH the headers - showing that it is actually from the eBay and Paypal sites.. If she can't do that - and you can - then you have sent the item to the correct address and if you have DC, there's nothing more you can (or should) do..

I would contact Ebay about it and let her know you are doing so. Perhaps she will change her tune. I did almost have a situation similar to that though. I had sold an item; luckily the person paid by money order. When doing the delivery label I noticed that the envelope return address was not the same as the Ebay address. So I stopped what I was doing and sent the question in an email to her. She thanked me profusely saying that Ebay still had her former address (despite her changing it). I believe she, too, said that she could see her correct email in her profile, but the old one was being sent out via Ebay emails. Not only that, she had been missing a different package for two weeks and thought she found the key to that 'issue' too. I didn't ask her to let me know how she resolved it; but she was gung-ho to tackle Ebay!

I would say yours is a very similar situation except that she states that she has never heard of the Ebay address you received.

Anyone else having trouble getting into eBay? I keep getting a page from AOL that says it doesn't exist or has moved!!

I have a "newbie situation" and I'd appreciate any help/input. I sold an electronics item last week, and had to wait for an "echeck" to clear my PayPal account. Once it cleared, I created the shipping label. Soon after, I get an email from the person who bought it saying "<>have you shipped item yet?". That's it. I replied that yes, I had, as the payment had just cleared. Then, 2 days later, I get another email, asking "i paid in full, could you leave feedback?" (I'm copying direct quotes). So I felt trouble brewing, but replied that I thought it was customary to leave feedback after I knew the item was received in good condition. I checked delivery confirmation 2 days later, saw that it had been received the day before, so I assumed since I'd heard nothing that everything was ok. WRONG! I left feedback yesterday evening, and about an hour later, I get an email saying that "we have a problem, the item does not work." Now, it worked before I shipped it. What do I do at this point? I already emailed the person, and said to return it, (even though the auction stated "as is, no returns"), because I want to be fair. I said that I will reimburse him, and shipping, too if it doesn't work when it gets here. Am I being scammed? Am I doing the right thing? Sorry this is so long, it just lets a lot of the wind out of my sails, makes me want to forget about ebay. Please help, all you experts!

I am having problems too. Have been here repeatedly trying to get to ebay for half an hour.
Is it just AOL or is anyone else having troubles with accessing EBAY????

I'm not using AOL and I can't get in either. I have 2 auctions ending this afternoon. I hope they get this problem fixed soon.

I'm not having any trouble getting in. (Not an AOL user.)

I posted a few days ago about having trouble getting into ebay. I find that when i shut down/restart, i get in fine on the first try, but after that, if i accidentally close My Ebay, i cannot get back in. This has been happening since last week. I thought it was my computer being low on memory. Hopefully, it will get fixed soon.

I've been in and out of eBay all day..no problems here..I'm using aol, but through road runner.
The disboard is actually giving me more of a pain to get into than ebay.

I have been reading these broads for a long time and started selling on ebay because of them. Now I have my first problem that I am hoping someone can help me with. I sold an item and the person used bin and payed for it with an unconfirmed paypal account. In fact the account had no name and address on it at all! I have never seen anything like it before so I refunded the money and told him I could not accept payment from a unconfirmed account. He keeps emailing me saying he does not understand why I will not accept his payment from an unconfirmed account and that I am going to have problems if this is how I treat buyers and what do you think I am going to do to you? I explained why I will not send to unconfirmed addresses and he says "I guess you don't want my money". Well he says he has a confirmed account with no money in it so he can't use it and is using his business paypal account.(this is a webb site address with no persons name or address on it) and wants me to send his purchase based on this. I think something is funny about this whole deal. He has neg feedback that refer to scam artist. I have almost 200 pos feedbacks and I think he is going to leave me a neg because I will not ship to an unconfirmed address. What can I do ?

No trouble here either aol but through cable modem.

She said she checked her info and it has her correct address (not the same address I have).

I always ask the buyer to send me an email with address regardless of paypal or not. I usually say:
"Please let me know where to send item and I will have it packed while I await payment."
99% answer with address, if they don't I send second email asking for confirmation of address.

I had this happen once. I surreptiously sent them a return receipted envelope asking for that persons specific signature. When she signed at the original address, she no longer had that deffense. Costs a couple dollars but if auction is big enough or you feel the principle of the thing good way to prove them a liar.

Oh BTW don't put your return address on it, use work or a friend. I used a friend who lived out of state, she had no clue it was me until she opened the envelope. The note said ' I am so glad this reached you safe and sound. Just wanted to confirm your address."

You can also call town hall in their area and confirm address with name if they own home. Tax rolls are public record.

hello all,
I was going to post yesterday because i was nervous about auctions.
2 ended within 1 hour of each other $ 112 & 102 respectively. they also were very similar items and winning bidder was the same. alittle jumpy i was about whether he would pay.

so after sweating for a day he emails me and says" please copy down my info: mastercard blah blah blah exp date total is $262 thank you, please ship to ......"

now my question is why didnt he go through pay pal or hit pay now spot on auction, could this be fraudulant. i emailed him back stating i didnt know if paypal asked for any confirmation like mothers maiden name or anything but he should click on pay now and that would work him through it, any prob to email me me back.

Sorry so long winded but had a bad feeling from get go and this could all be legit but fighured i run it by the experts here any help or insight would be great.
Thanks
