There is, of course, no agenda exhibited at all by the OP cherry-picking a single blog post that results in an ever-so-slightly positive review of FP+.
None at all.

Yup!!!!!! It's going to get better, Plano!I appreciate everything that Josh shares too. He has helped me immensely.
However, if Disney is tinkering with holding back fastpasses then couldn't all of this change? It might even get better!
Uh huh..... and so much more!!!!! If anyone would have something to say-----it's you. I'm proud of you for taking the info at face value and not trying to make a thing of it.
Josh's site is the go-to authority for me when it comes to the biggest bang for my WDW adult beverage bucks.
If one man with no kids, strollers, etc can tour can 6 different parks and ride 14 rides at both Disney World and Universal in only 1 day than surely the average person can easily accomplish touring one park effectively the way Josh has demonstrated. This is why it is important for people to arm themselves with knowledge and think for themselves.
There is no agenda here.....
I think FP+ is a downgrade from Legacy, far more complicated for the average park-goer, and needlessly so. I know quite a few posters here agree with me. I will continue to share my opinion as a counterpoint to yours and others like yours, while at the same time doing my best to assist anyone who cares to listen how to understand and get the most out of it. That is my agenda.
I like FP+ but agree with you that FP- was much better for us. But I am focused on making the most of what we have, since FP- is gone, gone, gone. I now do things that others on the board don't like to get my extra FP+, because 3 just isn't enough.

All you need is no kids and possibly one of the greatest theme-park commando strategists of our time in your group, and you'll get done "just as much as before, if not more."
I'm sold. Anyone have the AP sign-up URL handy? Oh, and DVC?
Yep, I'm a tough crowd.
As you said....you are a rough crowd!I was clearly not an average person that day, and don't believe Josh toured the parks last week with an average-person mentality. Like I did (with pictures!!!!!!!!) he squeezed everything he could into one day and came out concluding he did as well with FP+ as he would have with Legacy FP, if not a little better (or something like that).
You lose all credibility when you claim to have no agenda. You would not have posted Josh's blog report if he concluded he couldn't quite get as much out of FP+ as he would have with FP. You think FP+ is, um, what's the word...I'll go with terrific...and have from the start. I know quite a few posters agree with you. Understandably you want to point out when a respected blogger and poster also agrees, however feebly.

I will still read your posts though...you have a pretty good understanding of WDW,and I can probably learn some things from your experiences...Thanks in advance for any info you give!
He does not say that at all.
He says that if you follow his specific touring strategy, with some leeway, though not much, you will be able to do as much as you did before.
He actually warns that there are increased standby lines at the attractions building throughout the day, which, if you are a "normal" tourist, not following his strategy, showing up a some point throughout the day, it sounds like you will actually get less done.
And I'm sure he's is finding this thread hilarious.
Yes.
Now I am too.All you need is no kids and possibly one of the greatest theme-park commando strategists of our time in your group
Were the theme-park commando strategists of Ancient Greece better?
You got me there. I did not say that FastPass+ was good or bad. I just posted a valuable touring strategy that I believe is helpful to anyone!!! Like you- Josh took tons of pictures that day and even filmed video....I didn't see any youtube video in your report!!! There were mom's pushing huge double strollers with 8 year olds breezing right by him with ease. So, I vehemently disagree that he went all commando with this touring plan and strategy. There is no agenda here on my behalf- no matter how bad you want it to be. Ha ha!!! "Terrific", eh...... that's real cute. You got me good- for a moment there I was certain you had moved on....but looks like you still gotta long way to go, Mensa.I was clearly not an average person that day, and don't believe Josh toured the parks last week with an average-person mentality. This is for us.....the average people with average family and children of all ages------anyone can do this without breaking a sweat.
Certainly.....and you dear sir- have missed my equally high level of wit n' sarcasm----can't you see that was my way of saying thank you for not slamming us with another of volume of Yield Management in Today's Modern World!!!!! Zing- right back at ya!!!!The extremely high level of wit and sarcasm condensed into my one short post apparently escaped you.![]()

I completely disagree with the first part of your comment.....anyone can do this strategy. Is this not the same group of people who boast daily about pulling 15 Legacy FastPass a day?????Yeah. I read Josh's plans and I'm thinking, oh yeah there's no way we'd get to all that. Maybe if you're a single adult and willing to bee-line direct from ride to ride you can pull it off... but almost all families do no tour like that. There is hardly room in there to look around or stop for a picture, let alone park and retrieve your stroller, stop for bathrooms, tantrums, or enjoy one of the many things going on around you.
Still, I love his walkthrough and picture-documentation. Altho I find it overly ambitious for a typical guest, it does apply in concept that I can take things away from. It sets sort of an upper baseline of what one can accomplish if you take most everything else out except the crowds and rides.
And you definitely will not be able to ride headliners multiple times w little wait... most of this touring plan involves seeing other than headliners like IASW and HM. This is certainly possible... that is, most guests will have as good of a time as they always had. Only the commandos who used to pull excessive FP's to repeat headliners will now be worse off. I think I'm kind of right in between the two groups, so I think FP+ will be fine for us. Tho we won't get as much done as Josh, we will get lots more done than a typical vacationing family with several small children. FP+ will help in ways that FP- didn't.
I take it that you all actually walked to all of those Legacy FastPass machines---- then you still had to return back later-so that's two trips!!! When you use Fastpass+ with this touring strategy.....you don't even have to go and pull any tickets or return back....you just walk in line. This is a cakewalk compared to chasing down Legacy FastPasses. Look at the video and blog again.....Josh was moving at glacial pace...... if people believe that this is unattainable there is no way they were pulling 10 or 15 FastPasses a day to begin with....it was more like 1 or 2 legacy FastPass so FastPass+ should be a blessing to them!!! Yup!!! This is a very helpful update and thank you!!!! Rope drop is just as vital today as it was back then if you want to get a lot done at the parks. We've been here all week using FP+, and it has worked quite well for us. It was nice to arrive at 3 our first day (a travel day) and have experience good rides lined up. Admitted the crowd levels are fairly low, but we've accomplished everything we wanted every day. It is important to make rope drop, though.
