I am too excited! I just signed on for a new job...I've been a stay at home mom for 3 years now and have worked part time here and there...but I'm tired of working retail!!!

So...I signed up for a friends buisiness(don't know if I can discuss that info on the DIS), and I start the 1st week of April!

So NOW...not only can I help out with the bills and feel like I am actualy contributing to this household(even though my DH says I do MORE than my fair share raising our twins), but I'll have extra money to save for Disney in September!!! No more Value for THIS GIRL!!! I'm going MOD BAYBAY!!!

But...if I might offer some unsolicited advice... stay with value and opt for more days! Mod isn't much nicer as far as the rooms go.

Can't stay more days...DH can only take so much leave... I'm TRYING for Deluxe so we have a balcony...but I don't want to aim too high and be disappointed.

Luxury hotel at a value price. Shades of Green is THE best value on the Disney property for Service Members (active duty and retired) and their families.

I am assuming by your name your family is military.
Have you ever considered staying at 'Shades of Green' military resort? Our family stayed there for our grand gathering and had a wonderful time!

It is located by the WDW golf course. Depending on your DH's rank, standard room is $95-$135, with pool side starting at $105, suites $250. Has very spacious rooms, w/2queen beds, sleeper sofa, table w/2-4 chairs, big bathroom, fridge and coffee pot. Also has 3 restaurants, w/2 pools ~ an adult and a Mickey shaped pool for kids . Another plus, all rooms have balconies, with the first floor room having patios w/your own sliding door leading to grassy play area. Definitely a big plus for our military familes and worth looking into! BTW, you probably already know, you're also eligible for discount park tickets.

I have been thinking about it, but I think I want to do a more themed hotel for the kids. Also we're thinking about the meal plan too....I have a while to book yet, but thanks!
