VDH Questions for Purchasing

The only thing that benefits is me the starview lounge fast pass and it probably wont even be necessary 😡😡😡
Keep your head up. MMB is still only $99. You can blow through that amount on any park day. More important: Do you see “DVC-BY”? Yes?

You never had the opportunity to take part in that. You are “DVC-BY” by golly. You will still notice that fact even at Starview Station check in.

Could you take advantage of the 3-day weekday discounted ticket?
So I looked that up because we have the cheapest pass right now and the so cal deal is actually a lot cheaper and its cheaper than us upgrading to the explore pass to do the so cal deal too!

Im debating whether to just go for the explore pass because of the holiday blockouts. I refuse to pay the price for the top tier pass, id love to go during the holidays and after paying that much its even blocked during christmas.

Im not sure how long the weekday mmb tickets are good for? But if they're unblocked for the holidays maybe thats the way to go or just do a resort stay.

Ive always wanted to go to the tenaya spa and now I get a little discount with direct 😆 ive also been waiting for Napa rose to open so I could def do a two night resort stay with all that and not need tickets if I am so lucky.

In my dream world, id be staying at vdh spring and summer, and vgc fall and winter 🥰

This is true. Its crazy how different it feels to be direct. When i called to add MMB I was expecting for them to say no 🤣

I cant believe they just booked me the d23 days like nothing.

When we go to the lounge I will still expect to be rejected or for there to be some issue. I am traumatized by DVC rejection, will take years of therapy to feel good enough again and like I deserve this

I'm so glad you got your Welcome Home reservation! I haven't booked mine yet. I'm thinking it out still. I'm deciding between Aulani 1 bedroom and bringing my youngest (adult) kid, or doing VDH for my anniversary.
Its a big decision! I kept going back and forth. Because for d23 I dont want anything fancy, just a basic standard studio which isnt hard to get at other times.

But I figured that was going to be the hardest reservation for me to secure on my own considering the thousands of people that come from out of state for this event and that I need more nights than normal so thats what I went with!

How do we feel about the wheelchair accessible rooms guys, yes or no?
They are OK. Lower counters / less storage / funky shower layouts. You definitely notice it more than the hearing rooms. Happy DVC has nice accommodations for our brothers and sisters who need them and I try to give a wider birth of time before booking a wheelchair room. But... not THAT long. :-). They are capable of jumping on the computer at 11 months too.

I’m always on the phone in portrait anyway. last 24 hours you all have me flipping it, to look at your artwork. Quite impressive.

Much talent and intelligence @juliebee here there is.
Wow I had know idea you could see the signatures if you turned the phone on it’s side!! I can’t see me holding it that way for very long but nice to know of the option.

Ugh because im used to having all of my contracts in different memberships, I thought this vdh contract would come with another set of otup. But its attached to the blt membership that I already maxed them out so I can't buy them. So now I feel like I bought mmb for nothing because im not going to Florida this year 😡
Your use year is in February so later in the year you could make one for Feb 1 2027 and then have them to use for 2/1/27 - 1/31/28

Interesting about the SoCal deal being cheaper than upgrading. I get the top pass every year. It best suits my needs as I work M-F, so having Saturdays for the parks is key for me. And at least in the past, Saturdays in the summer are better than most other days. And then I can use Sundays to rest. Plus, I get all holidays as available except the 2 weeks around Christmas when I honestly don't want to go to the parks --- I have been then and prefer not to again.

We do the AP in WDW but not DLR. We go for 15 nights or so at WDW and the DVC pass works out for us. We only go for 7 or so nights at DLR so 5 day park hoppers is what we get. Besides the WDW AP is cheaper and has 4 parks. DLR is expensive for 2 parks. Seems really geared to locals. I wish they had an equivalent DVC pass at DLR, then maybe we would go for it. And I use points to buy the AP. Not the "best" use of points but works great for us.

Fellow Washingtonians, we come from Bothell.

My Mother In Law was in a wheel chair after a stroke. I would say if you reserve a wheel chair room and dont really need it, you are really messing with Karma. I think those rooms should be left to the folks that actually need the accessibility. We found it difficult to find parking or other accessible amenities due to able bodied people taking the spots. Really gets my blood boiling. We took care of DMIL for over 10 years before she passed. Those were our DVC drought years.
So HARD NO ON ACCESSIBLE ROOMS for me. Unless you really need it.

Other than that I have no opinion.

I agree! In fact, if they had an annual DVC pass at DLR, we probably would have bought VDH... well, at least it would have tipped the scales more in favor of that.

I used to live in Silverdale/Bremerton/Poulsbo. Loved living in the Puget Sound area.
