Caught that huh?
Great pics from the Liberty Belle- Congrats on crossing another item off your must do list. I've never ridden it- it's on my list for this August (depending on how hot out it is)
I'm observant like that!
Thanks, it was about time that we tried the Liberty Belle! You can always duck below and enjoy the shade in August. It was pretty hot up in the sun.
It's been too long since we have enjoyed that relaxing ride on the Riverboat! Such a nice respite from the hustle & bustle of the park.
I absolutely LOVE these pictures, Brenda!!
How sweet! I bet that made her so happy that y'all wanted photos with her.
Lovely update! I smiled the whole time I was scrolling through!
It's a great ride if you have a little one asleep in a stroller. With your DH's photo skills it would be a great photo op.
Thanks Kristy.
She was so exuberant and chatty. You could tell she loved working in Disney. She was a theater major so it was a dream of hers to work in Entertainment at the park.
Awww thanks.
Great update Brenda!! I may have to put the RiverBoat on my to do list. I don't think Ive done it since 1976!!
Thank you!
There may be a few changes that have taken place in the last 38 years! I imagine it would be a very nostalgic ride.
Glad you enjoyed the riverboat ride - definitely something that should be done at least once with the items you only get to see on that trip and the unique view of some other attractions
That's cool that they split your lunch into two bowls for you! And both your desserts looked great!
Now I want to go back around Tom Sawyer Island and perch on the port side of the boat. It's a great vantage point to see Splash and BTMRR.
Oh man, LTT is my all-time favorite lunch place at MK mostly because of that dessert but the pot roast is an attractive reason to return.
I am an awful person and have lagged behind so badly but am finally caught up. My wedding is in 2 weeks so my head has been elsewhere lately. Thank goodness the DisneyMoon is all planned or else I'd be having a complete meltdown at this point.
I am SO EXCITED for Em. She is going to make the most stunning bride!
I know we are getting close to the point in your trip when you get to visit our favorite dreamboat, I mean, Cast Member
P.S. We needed a reservation for dinner on Mother's Day and my mom chose Tony's. I already briefed Aaron about how I may end up fangirling big time that night
No worries! I think you have a great excuse. I wish you all the best next week.
Thank you! That's so sweet of you. I think she'll make a lovely bride too.
Ha ha ha! Yes, if you've already peeked, he made a special visit to our table to say hi. Very nice of him to do so.
You'll have to ask to be seated in dream boy's section otherwise you'll have to steal glances his way.
Yes, the Liberty Belle. We've not done that in five or six years. It seems every time we are there, it is clsoed for refurb. It's on my list of definite want to do's in September.
I love that you and Em have pictures taken with outstanding CM's. That's a nice little tradition you have there.
I hope the Liberty Belle makes it on your list this year. It may not be the most thrilling but at least it is relaxing.
And thank goodness there are plenty of nice CMs to be able to chat and pose with so we can continue that tradition.
yay! I wasn't too sure about the liberty belle, but now I think we will have to try it out
We were gonna go to LTT for lunch but ended up having to cut it out. We'll probably go to Columbia Harbor House instead since it is counter service, but my, you are making me regret that cut!!!!!
Try it out! It is such a great nostalgic ride. And you can view areas of the park you wouldn't otherwise see.
CHH is a great alternative to LTT... you still have the Colonial feel with some great entrée choices. Although I've only had the hummus sandwich - it was awesome with those chips. CHH is on my list to return and try the apple turn-over. Unfortunately, we just can't dine everywhere we want otherwise I'd need to book at 24 day trip.
We've yet to ride the Liberty Belle too. Just looks so hot on there and we are running to the next "ride". Great pics and I need to try it out next time. Luckily this year I had a few hours to tour Epcot by myself and finally seen Ellen and Michael Jackson rides. Glad I didn't torture my kids with those rides yet.
Also love the new version of selfie pics.
I hear ya! That's exactly the reason I think there's no long lines for this attraction... you really have to make the time for it and not have a pressing timeline.
I'd join you for the Ellen's Energy ride but I pass for Captain EO. Ha ha! Your kids may be thanking you for leaving them behind.
I didn't mean to get a selfie....it does prove that it is my original photography though!
YAY Bucket List Item!! I guess as a place to relax, the lower level of the Liberty Belle makes sense. But I'm all about where the action is, so upper level for me (on the one time I actually did this).
I think my fav thing was the new vantage points for BTM that you can't see otherwise.
Does Alligator Swamp remind you of the beginning of D-Land's Pirates? It does for me.
YES I LOVE GETTING PHOTO'S WITH CM'S!!!!! I love that you do too. Character photos are great, no doubt, but think I cherish the CM photos even more.
Aw man, no "Brenda party from Beverly Hills"? Denied!! That still makes me chuckle.
Rob I know you would be up on top of the Liberty Belle taking photos! And maybe posing with a friendly CM as well. I tried to get a good photo of BTMRR coming around the bend but I didn't do so well with that.
Absolutely! I was going to mention that but didn't. It is very much the same as the swamp shack in the bayou section of PotC at DL. Good memory Rob!
I agree 100%. The characters are great but the interactions with the CMs that tell you their experience and share their stories are worthy of a thank you and a photo!
I was robbed this time I tell you! I wanted to be from some Disney themed land like Andalasia.
I'm glad you crossed something else off your list! Your pictures from the Liberty Belle turned out really great. We've never been on it, but hope to eventually. I love the selfies you took
Thanks Melissa! It was about time I tell ya! I wish we'd have done it sooner - and in cooler weather.
So funny that I didn't mean for them to be selfies... I got in the way of the photos.
Fun trip on the boat! I have only done it once, but it looks as though I may have missed a few things! I must go do it again. Maybe twice so that I can stay on one side of the boat each way around and not miss anything.
It was! Well, we're tied for the same number of times we've been on it. Great minds think alike...I definitely will go to the opposite side next time. Did you do the Mark Twain riverboat at DL?
Ditto!!! Excellent pics!
True....so true!
Fantastic update...more please?
My secret - point, hold still, push the button!

Ok, so you need to turn the power on too, that just turns the complication factor up.
Thank you! Ok.... just for you...wait... hang on another day there buddy!
I would just like to take a moment to express how much I am enjoying living vicariously through this trip report! Cannot wait for the next update. And congratulations to your lovely daughter. Very exciting!
Thank you so much MandaLynn! How sweet of you.
Thanks for joining and your kind comments.
What a lovely and fantastic day! Ah what I would do to be having a morning like that today! I'll have to try those pancakes, they look super delicious and sound better than the nut ones!! Kona, yum! Sometime soon!!
Liberty Belle is a lovely ride, I'll need to go on it again in the next trip!
Nice shots on the rides, i've never been able to get hm shots!! lol
LTT looks amazing, it's on my list of places to eat, and SOON lol!,a
Hi Katt! Yes, Kona pancakes are a great way to start any day. Try them sometime and you will thank me!
Congratulations on being able to live your dream working at Disney. I saw your FB post!
I haven't done the Liberty Belle in a very long time, and DH never has!
You got some great pics from up there, Brenda! And a very interesting story about Wilson's Cave Inn too. I don't remember ever seeing that before! Glad you were able to mark that one off your list.
Adorable pictures with the cm for the Christmas shop, I love that place so much! It's so adorable.
I kind of like the Jack Skellington shoe... But agree it doesn't make much sense!
Sent from my iPad using DISBoards
I would love to see your photos from Liberty Belle! You got skills!
It would be cool if they had some more narration during the ride that talked about the significance of the various scenery.
Isn't it great to enjoy the Christmas shop year round? And the cheery CM was great.
I'm still trying to figure out how there are a plethora of princess and female character shoe ornaments but why Jack?? Someone knows I'm sure.
