please help me decide on DVC purchase

Just remember if driving to MK means parking at TTC so it is best to bus, boat, monorail or MinnieVan there
Are the other 3 theme parks good for driving? We're staying at two monorail resorts so come to think of it i should just use that for MK, but staying at AKV too so the car may be a good option there and do MK when staying at the monorail resorts

With the loss of Magical Express it's an easy decision for me. Parking for DVC resorts is free. The work rate I get for rentals is a wash compared to a service or Mears back and forth. I don't trust rideshare, especially in Orlando. I've had horrible experiences over the years and exclusively used Minnie Vans after that. The price of Minnie Vans has gone up significantly. A rental car provides so much freedom in the WDW bubble. You can dine at any resort and not wonder how you will get back. Disney Springs isn't a nightmare from the MK resort area. You can pickup groceries on your way to the resort, etc.

I would only use a company that allows you to skip the desk. I could never wait in those lines. Amex gives you automatic Hertz President's Circle and National Executive status on Platinum cards and it's easy to match with other companies.
We have skip the desk with most companies. Im just antsy and hate the trek over to the rental car area.

It's really easy at MCO (for now). A & B is walkable across the street from where you would get a shuttle. I remember seeing it from the Magical Express pickup area. C is down a few floors from the arrivals.

It's not like other airports where you need to take a shuttle or anything.

ARe you on a budget? if on a budget, then buy SSR or CCV or AKV- CCV is the best long term value. If not on budget, then buy Poly direct. that is probably the best buy right now, and if you want to sell down the road, it should still hold value

Thats really nice. In San Diego a couple weeks ago the shuttle time was 30 minutes just to get there. Ugh. At HNL for Aul its somewhat far as well.

Definitely check it out next time! You could walk to a rental car faster than a Lyft could show up at MCO.

Yes the other 3 are good to drive to.

We also do a lot of resort dining so having a car is key for that.

That would be my dream stay!! I love split stays, and my husband is fussy about them. He will put up with one hotel change. Do you like the VGF studios or Resort rooms?
We are a VGF/ BW household. My wife does not like split stays, but will do it at WDW as long as each property has at least 3 nights.

We are a 2 bedroom villa or larger family, so I can’t speak to the studios.

If it’s your dream stay… then don’t settle!

At MCO, it's maybe another 100 yards from the taxi/ride share pick up area---if that. It's easy!

I was *shocked* at how bad that line at SAN was earlier this year. I very briefly thought about walking around the airport and skipping the shuttle, it's not that far.

Yet somehow getting back to the terminal there was no wait?
