Yankee Candles.............

I'm new to Yankee Candles so forgive me!

I lit one on Saturday night as I was having my sisters over for supper but to be honest you couldn't smell it??

Did I have a duff scent - it was winter wonderland - or was it because it was a small candle?

I got this candle as a Christmas gift but there is an outlet shop near by that sells them a bit cheaper but to be honest I'm not sure about buying any now?

Just wondered what you "experts" thought.

I burn candles all the time but wanted some advise before spending the extra on Yankee candles.

To be honest with you I find some of the votive candles are not very strong in comparision to the tarts. It may well be that it is one of the weaker scented one's but I haven't tried that scent so I am not sure.

Definately try another one...candied apple, cinnamon stick, orchard pear, starfruit & orange are a few that spring to mind as good strong scented one's (but not too over powering).

Woo hoo! I just got 13 boxes of Yankee Candles to put out! I can't wait to see what's in them and hae a good old sniff!

I'm watching QVC right now and Yankee is on there, I am getting so cross that they are saying things are a good deal when they are actually working out more expensive than I sell them for in my shop. It's unbelievable! They just said that Tarts retail for £1.40 - that is just a lie, the RRP is only £1.10 and many places sell them for less than that!

Absolutley! I was so cross that I just emailed my customer rep at the Yankee Office - they were amazed at what she has just said on the telly!

She also said that Juicy Watermelon has been retired and it hasn't! I am burning it at the moment - it's yummy and smells like jelly when you are melting the crystals to make it!

My mom is using a Baby Powder tart and she said it "smells like Harley's bum!" Personally I do not agree that my sons bottom smells so beautiful however I understand that he is her grandson and she is entirely biased!

That's what I mean - she talks complete twaddle!!! I'm betting what she means is SHE can't get hold of it for QVC - so she just lies!!! I've lost count of the stupid comments she's made - of course, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is when she claimed YC don't do a coffee scent... Yeah, right...

OMG!!! Isn't he weird!!?? Apparently he was a shopping tv presenter (don't know who for) in the US and the salesman smarm just seems to oooooze out of him!!! I can't warm to him and his peculiar barnet at all... Totally off topic but I'm missing Julian Ballantyne - I love that man and haven't seen him for ages...

OK back on topic - I'm currently burning Home Sweet Home which is my all-time fave...

Back to YC - I've been checking out the new fragrances that I'm going to be looking at in a couple of weeks!!! Really like the sound of Island Guava, Kiwi Berries, Pomegranate Fruit and Tropical Fruit ...
