If you like Yankee you should try Partylite, I like them better.

I burn Buttercream and Cranberry Chutney at the same time and love the mix.

My tart burner is made of soap stone and I've scraped the bowl up prying those stupid tarts out. I've tried freezing it and warming it in hot water and nothing seems to work.![]()

I have so many large jars that I don't know where to put them anymore. In my living room I have Pumpkin Pie, Vanilla Cookie & Tangerine. (I also have a huge basket with about 50 or so tarts in MANY different scents)
In my bathroom there is Cottage Breeze (probably my one and only NON food scent)![]()
On my hutch in the hallway I have Macintosh/Peach, Hot Buttered Rum, Granny Smith Apple, Gingerbread Maple & Cherry Lemonade.
In my kitchen I have Jack Frost, Autumn Wreath, Apple Butter, Peppermint Cocoa & White Chocolate Mint.
I also love to mix different scents together (the tarts) I don't really care for Buttercreme on it's own but love it paired with another scent. What I normally do with the "almost gone" wax in a jar is.....put it in the freezer for a couple hours or so and then GENTLY take a butter knife and kind of split the wax in a couple pieces and then put that wax in my tart burner. NO WASTE. I also do this with my tart burner. I take the top part off and put it in the freezer and then pop out the used wax. I will usually burn a tart twice and then throw it away. Can't really get anymore smell out of it after that.

I love the clean cotton, bay breeze and lilac. They have a lot of fall ones 50% off right now (in MA anyway)luvflorida said:I have recently discovered Yankee Candle and I am in love with their products! I've known about them for a long time, but was never really interested in them. I've even had some in my house that were given to me as gifts, but I generally would put them on a shelf somewhere and not really give them another thought. It was extremely rare for me to actually light a candle.
Well, over the summer someone gave me a ceramic candle holder with a couple of the small candles, (tarts), as a gift. It's the kind where you put a small candle in and as it burns it melts the tart above. It was lilac, smelled wonderful, and now I'm hooked!!
Yesterday, I bought an electric burner, (I know it must have another name), and several tarts in fall scents. I couldn't believe the variety of candles and accessories the store had! Some of the Halloween candles and holders were really cute.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else likes Yankee Candle products. I love the electric burner, (maybe someone with more knowledge could tell me the correct name for this!), because I don't have to worry about flames from a candle.
What are some of your favorite scents and products? Which rooms in your house do you use the candles in the most? Are some candles better suited for different rooms/locations? There are so many different styles- votive, tarts, jars, plug-ins, etc.

Thanks, I have tried that. Maybe I didn't use enough oil. If I ever get the tart out I'll use more oil and see if that works.Obi-Wan Pinobi said:I asked DW Lauri about your soap stone burner. She said to occasionally wipe the bowl with a bit of oil on a towel (veggie oil) because stone dries out easily and then the wax will adhere to the porous surface.
Hope that helps![]()
