Ya'll aren't going to believe this one!

Grant it this does seem a little odd, but if my kids were in the "potty training" phase of their lives or just at the age when they wait until the absolute last SECOND to say they need to pee, and ever mother knows what i'm talking about here, then knowing where all the bathrooms were located would be really helpful -

We could have used this in 2000 when my mom had stomach issues at Epcot. She insisted on going to the park anyway. My son was 6 and everytime he would see a bathroom, he would say "Nana, there's a potty--do you need to go?" He was so sincere too!:rotfl2:

Hey, I agree may be strange but I wish I had known about that auto flush toilets could be fooled after my eldest had one flush while she was on it then refused to use public restrooms it made our last Disney vacation VERY interesting.

my dd3 had the same thing, it flushed while she was onit, now i have to sit on the back of the toilet almost everywhere we go no matter how much i try to convince her it won't flush without pushing the button

Hopefully you won't have to do that for long, but I read a tip on these boards a while back that said one mom brought little post-it notes where ever she went in a pocket or purse, and if you cover the little light, it won't flush. I beleive it got so that her dd would put the post-it on the light herself every time she went, and would take it off when it was time to flush. Just an idea! :goodvibes

how can it be tricked? did i not read all the way through? we use the post it thing but is there something else?

We kind of do this on our car trips. We grade the rest stop restrooms and gas station restrooms. Just something fun to do, we don't take it this seriously though. It's and A-F system. We grade on :

1. Do the stall doors close properly.
2. Are the toilets clean?
3. Is there toilet paper?
4. Is there a trash can in the stall?
5. Is there soap near the sink?
6. What kind of condition are the fixtures in?
7. Are there paper towels for hand drying?
8. Do the toilets flush properly?
9. Overall impression, cleanliness.

Many children are afraid of flushing the toilet. My DD is 8 and is scared to flush our toilet at home. I though she was alone in her fear, untill we had a slumber party at the house and most of the girls did not flush.

When we use a public restroom I normally have to go in the stall with her to cover up the auto-flusher, I glad to hear about the post it trick, I'm gonna have to try that one.

I used to sit on the back too, until a friend pointed out that you can just hold your hand over the sensor while your little one takes care of business. So simple and I never even thought of it! It's a little less icky.

This is by far the oddest thing I have seen since the toilet paper rack Ipod.

As a mother of a dd who is recently potty trained, I could see how having a bathroom map could come in handy. However, when little ones have to go, they have to go NOW! So, it wouldn't matter if you wanted to go to the bathroom with all the "ammenities" that you liked. You have to go to the one that is closest. :)

We bought a very nice travel potty that comes in a bag b/c dd is way too small for big toilets and hates auto flusher. (Plus it keeps her away from all those yucky toilet germs. I just wipe off the bottom after it sat on the bathroom floor. In case anyone is looking for one Fisher Price On-the-Go potty at TRUs and BRUs.)

Like they said...."Why not?" :rotfl:

Who should use what restroom has been talked, fought and rehashed over and over, why not rate them!

Well for those of us who have been around the DIS for sometime now, we know this site very well. In fact, it's very popular with a lot of DISers, not only for it's usefulness but just as a Disney interest topic.

There used to be a website just like that for WDW called Thrones of the Kingdom. I used to love seeing all the bathrooms since I think it was neat. Several years ago, the owner took it down.

In 2003, I got the idea to replace that site and create my own.

You may think it's weird but I have received tons of PM's and e-mails from people thanking me for doing it and saying how it came in handy, especially for moms and their kids (a lot of kids have bathroom issues and I have been told that seeing the bathrooms in advance really helped them!) or just from true Disney freaks like me who just enjoyed killing some spare time seeing the bathrooms!

Here is the original thread I started when I finished the page earlier this year.

Great Site Timon!!!

I don't care how weird it is, for those of us that end up in the bathroom frequently, (and I have a condition that sends me every couple of hours), the bathrooms at Disney are the best. I love seeing the theming of bathrooms I have not yet enjoyed. :)

The only place I've ever seen that might beat out Disney bathrooms are certain ones in Japan, where toilets with a control panel can be found.

You can also bring along a small pad of yellow post it "sticky" notes and place one over the sensor, then remove when leaving to fool the auto flush toilets.

Sonno,

I'm subscribed to your "special effects revealed" thread, so I'm sitting here wondering just what effect question you were researching when you came upon the potty link? :rotfl:
