Hello everyone!

Congrats Harvest02 on making lifetime!!! :cool1: That is just great. I hope to be there too....hopefully by January! That's my long term goal....my short term goal is to make GOAL by Halloween. I had my first gain (only .4, so I am not too upset) since July yesterday. I went on a business trip for a couple days and I wasn't surprised that I was up a little, but it really shakes my confidence when I have a gain. I got right back OP when I got home, but I am still a little down about it. The other unfortunate thing is that my favorite WW leader switched her meetings and she is no longer doing the meeting time that I like to go to. Has that happened to anyone else? I can't decide what is more important..the time or the leader..??? I will just have to decide that for myself. Anyway...that's it for me today! Hope everyone is having a great week! :wave2:

It sounds like you are well on your way to goal, kudos to you for getting right back to it. As for the meetings, I think it is a personal choice. For me it was all about the leader so my buddy and I changed meetings and meeting times just to follow our beloved leader to our new WW center. I would do it again in a heart beat because our leader is one of the best!

I weighed in on Fri. morning, but didn't get a chance to check in here before I left for the weekend- I was down 2.5 pounds! Keep up the good work everyone!

Great job, I am sure you are pleased as punch with those numbers!!!! You are doing such a wonderful job, keep it up (or should I say down).

I didn't check in here the last two weeks - the first week I had gained 3.6 lbs:scared1: . I had a very good, but very bad Labor Day weekend!! ;)

Then last week I lost 4.2 lbs!!:cheer2: Good to be back on track.

I'm down a total of 21 lbs, so far!

Keep up the good work everyone!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Glad you are back and congrats to you for losing the 3.6 you gained plus some!!!

Hello everyone...I had my WI today and I was up AGAIN!! .8 this time, so in the last 2 weeks I am up 1.2. :guilty: I expected it last week, but this week I didn't, so I am bummed!! I was good this week, wrote down everything, walked 3 miles 5 out of 7 days...I didn't use my AP's and only half of my WPA. OK, for those of you who have been there/done that....I guess I just need some encouragement! I guess I had been anticipating hitting a plateau at some point...maybe this is it? I am a little less that 10 lbs from goal. I guess that last 10 is the hardest to lose, like everyone says. I know that 1.2 gain in 2 weeks certainly isn't the worst, but it's the first time I've been up 2 weeks in a row in my 22 weeks at WW!! Thanks for listening to my mini-vent - hope everyone has a good weekend!

Andrea,

Don't get too discouraged! Those last 10 pounds are the hardest. I reached lifetime 2 weeks ago, and now the hardest part is keeping the weight off! I have gained a few pounds back so I really need to get back on the bandwagon! I have been very bad about writing things down, and I need to improve in that area. My exercise has been fine though. I think we could both use some encouragement, so if anyone out there can help us I am sure we would appreciate it!!!!:grouphug:

Hey Kjo

Just noticed you were from Bucks County, where abouts? I just moved from there (spent most of my life growing up in Central Bucks...elementary, middle, and highschool)...Small world!:jumping3:

I'm down another pound this week! Getting closer to my goal!
AndreaLoves Disney and Harvest02- Don't give up! I just recently went through a period where I didn't really lose anything for a few weeks and was getting very discouraged. What worked for me is I stopped obsessing so much about numbers. I'm feeling great and wearing clothes that I haven't worn in years- at this point I think that's more important than what the scale says (at least for me). I'm still following my plan and trying to lose that last 7 pounds, but I'm focusing more on the way I feel than the numbers now. Since I made that change I've lost 3.5 pounds in 2 weeks, so I would say it's definitely helped me! Just don't give up!

DisneyPrincess- I moved to this area about 4 years ago from NJ (Dh grew up in Philly). We're currently in Council Rock school district- not too far from Central Bucks. It is a small world!

Hello everyone...
Thanks for the encouragement KJo719...I really need it these last few days!! I don't know what it is, but all I can think about is food!!! (It's not that TOM either!!) My motivation is going downhill.....and I am just feeling so EMPTY!!! I want to sit down with a bag of chips and CHOW DOWN!! I know that is terrible, but I am just being honest about how I am feeling right now! :headache: I did walk today - and I added about 15 minutes to my walk so that is a good thing, but other than that, my mind is in the refrigerator!!!! HELP!!!! Part of me just wants to eat so I can "get over it" but I know I will feel so guilty if I do! Thanks for listening....I'm going to go drink some water.

Hang in there Andrea. I think there are times that we all feel our motivation waning, that is a hard place to be in. Just focus on where you want to be and what you want and hopefully you will break through this slump. I saw this quote today and I thought it really said a lot. "There are no shortcuts to any place worth going." Getting to the finish line is definitely worth going to so you need to skip the shortcuts (because they can ultimately be your downfall) and keep rolling over those bumps in the road.

I am happy to report after weeks of knee pain I participated in my first 5K walk today and I made it all the way to the end. The knees were giving me a little bit of trouble, but I put a heat pack on and wrapped it up and it ended up being just fine. :goodvibes Feels good to have completed it and this may be the start of something new for me.

Congrats on the 5k Tiggerlover!! Way to go!!:cool1: And thanks for the encouragement! I am feeling better today...that is, my mind is out of the fridge!!! I hope to have a good week and focus on my goals, not the food! Thanks again and have a good week!! :goodvibes

Congratulations Tig. :cool1: You should be proud!!! I'm glad your knees did ok. It was a beautiful day here. Hope it was the same where you are.

I was up 1.6 this week. I hadn't been exactly on program, but had been walking, so didn't really expect it to be that much. I've had a late night snacking bad habit the past couple weeks. I'm good during the days, and then bam. I just went food shopping and bought better foods for this week, so I'm hoping that will help. Plus TOM is almost over, and that's sure to help.

Congratulations to all our losers here!!! Nice job!! Hang in there, those, like me, who are struggling. So long as we don't give up, we will reach our goals.
We can do it!!!!!:cheer2:

Tigger- :cheer2:  Congrats on the 5k!! It must have been the day for them as I ran my first one in almost 10 years yesterday!! It is such a great feeling to finish and know that you can do it. Keep up the good work and I am glad your knees held up for you!!!

mikamah-I'm struggling too  but this little bump in the road will not deter me from reaching my goal. I think I need to tweak things a bit both with food and exercise and perhaps the scale will respond favorably (well here's hoping anyway:goodvibes )

This is exactly how I'm feeling. I'm desperately trying to get back to that feeling when I first joined WW--the power to say no. I'm now having little indulgences with the feeling I'll get right on track the next day. Only sometimes it's taking 2 days to get back. I'm playing catch-up all week and I hate that feeling. I've been up and down the same 2-3 pounds for almost 2 months now. I do feel that I'm getting back on track and staying motivated to succeed. Don't give up--it's what I keep telling myself.

Congratulations to all who've lost (and ran!).

Kathi, my leader was just talking about this last week. She reminded us that sometimes we get lax and that from time to time we should pull out our week 1 information and/or food diary and get back to the basics. She says a lot of times this is all it takes to get back on track. Definitely don't give up, YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

Sorry to hear it Mik, I know those gains are tough to handle. I guess it is just a reminder to stay more accountable to ourselves, you aren't alone that is for sure. I know what you mean about the late night snacking, I find if I get back into that habit it is real hard to break, but for your own good you need to. What usually works for me is talking myself out of the snack (as hard as that is), you just have to have a dialog with yourself telling yourself that you really don't need to be eating that late at night and that you will have to exercise twice as hard to burn it off! Read the M&M thread that Miss Missy posted, helps put some snacking into perspective. Hang in there my friend.....be strong, you can resist those urges!
