Congrats on the 5k Tiggerlover!! Way to go!!:cool1: And thanks for the encouragement! I am feeling better today...that is, my mind is out of the fridge!!! I hope to have a good week and focus on my goals, not the food! Thanks again and have a good week!! :goodvibes

So glad that you are feeling better, I hope it is carrying through your week! Thanks for the support!

Tigger- :cheer2:  Congrats on the 5k!! It must have been the day for them as I ran my first one in almost 10 years yesterday!! It is such a great feeling to finish and know that you can do it. Keep up the good work and I am glad your knees held up for you!!!

mikamah-I'm struggling too  but this little bump in the road will not deter me from reaching my goal. I think I need to tweak things a bit both with food and exercise and perhaps the scale will respond favorably (well here's hoping anyway:goodvibes )

Great for you!!! That is an awesome accomplishment! I couldn't even think about running a half mile, much less 3.2. Congratulations!!

Congratulations Tig. :cool1: You should be proud!!! I'm glad your knees did ok. It was a beautiful day here. Hope it was the same where you are.

Thanks, Mik! I wish I could say my knees are okay, but the last two days I have been paying for my walk. It drives me nuts having to deal with the pain all of the time, it just doesn't make sense to me. I guess I am going to have to go back to my GP and get a referral out. It is so frustrating when you are ready to get active and your body won't let you!!!

Hello fellow WWers,

Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been able to weighin this week yet, but hope to go tomorrow. I've been better the past couple days with the snacking, and have been able to get some walks in. I've been thinking of stopping the monthly pass and doing ww on my own, and with the help and support of my WISH friends. I don't have a set meeting I can go to each week, and some weeks, I can't make a meeting at all, and feel like I'm wasting my money. I don't seem to get as much out of the meetings as I used to. I definitely find more support and get more motivation from coming to this board than I do at the last few meetings I've been to. I bought a scale at home for the biggest loser challenge, and think I can do it at home as well as I can at ww and save 40$ month for Disney. ;)
Because I've been up and down for a few months with the same few pounds, I'm wasting my money, and feeling a little guilty about it. I think I'll make a pact with myself right now, do ww on my own and with WISH through the holidays, and if I weigh more than I do right now on january first, I'll rejoin ww. Sorry if I've been rambling, and thanks for listening.

Have a great, losing weekend!! We can do this!!:cheer2:

Well I decided that I'm going to give up the WW meetings, but still use the diet. I always went on Sunday mornings (9:30) and I always hated getting up that early, and I've never been too fond of the leader. I know I could change meetings, but I really want to try to do this on my own.

That being said, I'm definitely sticking with the lifestyle. I figure that they have given me all the tools, it's just up to me to use them!

On the up side, I went to my dr. this morning and weighed in at a number I haven't seen since I was 19. :cool1: My Dr. said he'd be happy if I could lose 4 more lbs, I'm thinking more like 14....but well see how it goes. FTR, I'm realistic about my weight. I'm 5'3" and weighed in at 134. I'd like to be 120, but am not obsessed with getting to that particular number.

Hi everyone,

Congratulations Tigger! Finishing that 5k with knee problems is a huge accomplishment. You definately need to get that referral. My knee surgery was the best thing I ever did.

I was down 2# this week. I made it to 40.6 pounds total loss.

Keep up the great work everyone, and don't give up.

Take care,
Beth

I think it is fabulous that you are making a plan! I think you should write down or type it up and affix it to your fridge. I did something similar last year at this time and it definitely helped me get through the holidays. It is hard when you feel like you are wasting your money and as you said you have the support here so I think you have a great chance of being successful. Mik, you know I am routing for you and I am here to help you any way I can. If you need or want my email addy just say the word and it is yours....I can be your own personal cheerleader....lol!!! Good luck my friend, as you said we CAN do this!!

Amen to that!

That is wonderful news, you must feel very good about yourself.

Thank you, Beth. I was on a mission and felt I couldn't let the team down. I have to say the last couple of days I have been taking it easy at Curves and just being more mindful of my knees and they do feel better. I know I will be going to get the referral, but for now I am holding my own.

Congrats on your total weight loss to date, over 40# is terrific!!! Keep up the great work.

Hi all-

Haven't posted over here in a while, since I have been "stuck" for almost a month!! But I changed up my exercise and have been super diligent with my eating plan. And it paid off. Lost 2.4 lbs this week, I am just shy of a new clippie (45 lb). But I will definately get it next week!!!

Glad to see everyone is doing well. I know that the plateaus will happen, but I am just glad to be moving in the right direction again!!!

Onward and downward!

So glad you made it through your plateau and what a great loss it was! That new clippie is just around the corner! Great work!

thanks tig. You support has really meant a lot to me on my journey. I'd like to hang around this thread if no one minds. I'll be following ww on my own, and weighing in on tuesdays. This week I was the same, no loss, but no gain. I've been getting more exercise, and doing better in the evening.

VernRDH-congratulstions on your great loss! 45 pounds is awesome!! :cool1:

MIdanceMom-Whoo hoo!!! 40 # is fantastic! Congratulations!!!

jenm2878- congratulations on reaching that new number!! You are right, we have the tools, and we can use them and be successful. I wasn't getting much out of the meetings lately, and I can do it on my own too. Good luck.

Have a great losing weekend!

Ive been missing for a few weeks...
Spent the 3 weeks on the Magic! Yup ... 3 weeks eating wonderful cruise food.
I had weigh in on Wednesday and too my big surprise gained only 2.4 ! I sortta expected more, but looking at what we did.. 2.4 isnt bad.
Now with 2 big races for me next weekend and then another the following weekend... that weight should fall off.:thumbsup2

So congrats to all that have lost weight and those of us who have gained... next week we'll do better!!!

Three weeks of vacation and you only gained 2.4, that sure is an accomplishment. Now that you are back and getting into your regular routine you should see those pounds coming back off. Sure hope you had a great vacation. Good luck with your upcoming races.

As for me, I had my monthly maintenance weigh in and I am please to announce that I am still at goal (slightly, ever so slightly under).I do have to confess to pigging out today, which I regret, but sometimes you just have to say what the hey. Tomorrow it is right back to program.

Hoping everyone is doing well. Have a great weekend.

I'm down .5 this week. I've also decided to stop my WW membership. I'm at a point right now where I'm very happy with where I'm at- I'd like to lose that last 6 pounds, but I'm also very content to stay where I'm at- as long as the numbers on the scale don't start going up I'll be happy every week! I'm going to continue to follow the program and still weigh-in every Fri. morning, but at this point I think I can do it without having to spend the $16 a month.
Keep up the good work everyone!

Hey guys! I am pretty sure this is the thread i used to submit my weekly weigh ins on.... its been awhile.....

but everyone here is sooo encouraging!

I started ww again about 3 weeks ago, I am not going to meetings this time, i have no time for that! So, I thought well, I will start posting my weekly weigh in on the dis again... it will give me some accountability!!

So, this morning I was up .2, but that still gives me a total loss of 6 lbs!

My goal this time, is to lose 25-35 lbs.

WW has worked amazing for me the last two times I have done it, and the weight i have lost has not come back, except fo rmaybe 3-5 lbs, that fluctuates up n down....
I've just lost to a point where i was happy, stopped watching my points, and then down the road a bit thought you know, i need to faithfully watch those points!!! So, here I am again!

Anyone else doing flex points, wanting to chat or needing encouragement, feel free to pm me!
Have a great week guys!!!!!
Emily

Congrats on the loss for the week, any loss is a good loss and should be celebrated! Isn't it nice when we get to a point where we are happy with our bodies? It is a magical feeling.
