WW Weekly Weigh-in

I am up 1 pound this week, not surprisingly, but am feeling good and in control, (at least for the past 24 hours:rotfl: ) I journalled every bite yesterday, and am planning to continue with that, and also have been able to get out walking. This is such a great time of year to get out and move, and I'm thinking with thanksgiving and christmas just around the corner, I need to lose a little more so I'll have a buffer for those holidays. I'm not too worried about halloween. I'm planning to buy my candy on that morning, and not before, and we usually give out all or most of it.

gabbygrennell-Welcome back!! Everytime I go back to WW, I wonder why I quit in the first place. I'm doing it on my own now too, and definitely get more support from WISH than I was getting from the meetings. Congrats on your loss to date.

KJo719-Congrats on your loss this week, and for reaching a point where you are happy with your weight. That must be an awesome feeling.

tiggerlover- Congrats on still being under goal!! You are such a motivation. We all have our pig out days, but if it's only one day and we get right back on, no harm is done. It's when one day turns to two, then a week, that we get in trouble.

Bareacuda-congratulations on such a small gain after 3 weeks on a cruise!!! That's really is amazing. Guess you've developed some nice, healthy eating habits. Nice work!!

Have a great losing day!!:)

Hello everyone! :wave2: I have not posted in a couple weeks and I am not sure why!! Thanks to tiggerlover and mikamah for your continued support!! You guys are so great to always address everybody individually! I would like to do that too, but now since I can't log on to the boards at work (darn filters!!) I literally sit down at the computer for 2 minutes and I just don't have time to read everything! Anyway, I always read this thread and I think it sounds like we have a bunch of people who are doing really well with their weight losses!! Yay everyone!!!:yay:
Anyway, I am SO close to goal I can smell it!!!! 2 lbs away!!!! Yahooo!! I have to stay focused these next couple weeks though! Do you think I can make lifetime by Christmas? I am a bit skeptical of myself, but I am trying to think positive!! I CAN do it!!! Hope everyone is having a great week! :goodvibes

Great week this week- 3 pounds! I feel much better leaving for Disney tomorrow knowing that even with the few pounds I know I'm going to put on at Disney, I'll still be pretty close to my goal. Everyone's doing a great job- keep up the good owrk!

I feel like I haven't been over here in forever!!! I guess with all the other threads I post on, I think I have covered them all, but didn't!

So I am down another 1.6 lbs and am sporting a new clippie!!!:cool1: :thumbsup2 Hoping to get that 50lb one soon, as that puts me halfway to my goal! I am really hoping to be there by the time I go for my physical in November, as I really want my MD to see how well I am doing.

Now that DH has started WW, he has gone a little nutty:crazy: He found a journal/calculator on line that he is using and he wants to argue point values with me all the time. I tell him that according to the WW book (which is right here in the LR, within easy reach of him) these are the points, but NOOO his "calculator" is right. He spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how many points in a bag of micro popcorn popcorn:: (high test, big bag, not the fat free snack bags) I told him what the food companion says, but he insisted it was wrong. Oh well, at least he is getting into it and being conscious about what he is eating. Its keeping me honest, thats for sure.

Hope everyone has good week. Keep on losing!!!

Mik, so glad to hear that you are feeling good and in control, that is an important part of this journey. I love this time of year too and am happy that we are starting to feel "fall-like" here in the south. We finally turned off the AC and have the windows open, I love it. I just feel like moving more....especially with the holidays looming.

Believe me, I have my share of pig out days, I think a treat every now and then helps keep us sane!

Andrea, so good to see you here again! I try my best to support everyone, time doesn't always allow it, but I do what I can. A big part of my success is feeding off of everyone elses succes, if that makes sense. I feel like I have a purpose when I come here and I feel like I need to be accountable. I think making Lifetime by Christmas is so doable!! You will get there, have the faith and you will succeed!!!

KJo719, congrats on your loss this week and have a FABULOUS time at Disney!

VernRDH, congrats on the new clippie....it looks Mah-ve-lous Dah-ling!

As far as you DH goes, he may have a point, (sorry). The food companion is a general guideline of foods. The most accurate way to get an accurate point value is to calculate it using the calories/fat/fiber of the product, because some products may be more and some may be less. I think it is so cool that you and DH are both in this together!!!

Keep up the great work!

I'm down .6 this week. I keep telling myself, slow and steady is the way to go. I've been basicly maintaining for months now, and so long as I don't gain back all I've lost, I'm really happy. The rest will come off in time.

tiggerlover- Thanks for the neverending support. Fall is a wonderfu time of year. It is finally cooling off here too. I've been going to my nephew's high school football games, and it was in the 80s and 90s for the first couple, and finally friday night it was soooo cold we were shivering, but it felt great. I love the fall. We went to the farm the other day, and they had frozen apple cider to make ice pops, so we made them at home, and they are delicious. A fat-free, low cal treat that takes a while to eat. Just what I need in the evenings. I spent the weekend doing yard work, and have today off from work, so I'm going to get out there again today.

VernRDH-Congratulations on 45pounds!!! That's just awesome. It must be so nice to have your husband on the same page and to be traveling this journey together. Even if you have some debates. My brother and sister in law have lost a lot of weight together, and they really give each other the support they need to keep healthy. I love going to visit them. Good, healthy living rubs off on other. Keep up the great work.

KJo719-Congrats on your loss! Hope you're having a wonderful vacation with Mickey.

Andrea_loves_Disney- YOU CAN DO IT!!!! :cheer2: You're doing so well!! Sorry you can't log on at work anymore. I have always been so jealous of people who can dis while they work. I could go on once in a while at my old job, but never can now. It's so funny to see how slow the dis seems to run around lunch time. I bet you can make life time by christmas. What a present to yourself that will be.:santa:

Happy, losing week everyone!!!:cool1:

So I haven't been posting for a while. I'm actually up about 1/2 a pound this week, but I'm smiling :cutie: because I went on a shopping spree and bought jeans in a size 14. I haven't been a 14 in about a decade! I'm pleased as punch! I still have a while to go on my journey but after losing 68 pounds I'm ready to lose the next 30.

The support on this board is amazing!!!

:woohoo: to all of us who are on this journey together!

Whoo hoo!!!!!   congratulations on your new size!!!
I bought capris this summer in a 14, so I know exactly how you feel. I had been going between 16s and 18s for a long time. It's a great accomplishment.

Wow, I knew I had been MIA, but I didn't realize it was almost 10 days. Life has been busy and I haven't had much free time as of late.

Mik, glad to hear you are down a bit this week, every little bit makes a difference. I spoke too soon on our gorgeous fall weather because summer has returned! We are back up into the 80's and I am already missing our fall teaser. Hope you are having a great rest of the week!!!

KATHINOWA, good to "see" you around and congrats on buying that new size. There is nothing like a new size to give you a confidence boost. You've done so well to date, you should be so proud of yourself!!!

Keep up the great work everyone! One step at a time!!

Hello and happy Saturday to all! :surfweb: I have just a few minutes right now but I wanted to share my news.... I made goal!!! Yay!!!! I was so happy! Unfortunately, I couldn't go to my normal meeting time (the meeting time that is best for me is on it's 3rd different leader since I started...I wanted to follow the 2nd leader but her meeting times just didn't work for me!) Anyway, I went to a different meeting and that leader must really have a following! It was PACKED! Anyway I had to share what I was celebrating...she made such a big deal! (bigger than what I have seen from other leaders) She gave me a big hug and made me come up to the front..it was really nice to be recognized but I was a little embarrassed since I didn't know anyone at this meeting! She really made me feel special though and that was great. I left there on a genuine "high"! :cloud9: (no alcohol or drugs involved! LOL) So now I am contemplating weather to keep on losing (I set my goal at the very top of the range) or try adding a few points.. I am REALLY afraid about gaining the weight back. After I make lifetime, I am going to continue to go to meetings- for sure! I just cannot let myself slip back into my old ways.
That's all for now - hope everyone has a great weekend!!

party:GOAL!!!!!! party:
Congratulations Andrea!!!!!
That is awesome and means you will meet your plan of making Lifetime by Christmas!!!!!!!!!

I was up 1 pound this week, continuing on my path of gaining a little, losing a little, but that's ok so long as I don't gain, gain, gain. This week I'm really trying to move more. I should be able to get out and walk 4 mornings, and if the weather is good will get my son out on our bikes too.

Tiggerlover-I hate when life gets in the way of Dis-ing. Hope life's been a good busy for you. I just booked a wdw trip for april, so now the planning begins. I'm off to the planning boards.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I am so happy for you and so glad that a leader other than your own made making goal special! You have worked hard and you should be proud of your accomplishment!!! Weigh to go!!:woohoo:

 Mik! I always look forward to reading your posts and glad to see you here, but sorry to hear you are up a pound. But you know like all long-term dieters that it is par for the course. You are right though, a gain is okay as long as it is a small gain and it is followed by a loss instead of another gain, it is just part of the bodies natural process.

How awesome to have a trip to plan, that is always good fun.

Life is good, I really can't complain (if I did, it would do no good...lol). I am still dealing with the knee issues and finally made it back to the doctor. Now I am awaiting the referral permission from my insurance company so I can make an appointment with the orthopedist. It frustrates me not being able to work my body the way I want to, but I recognize there are limitations for me right now.

Hope you (and everyone else) has a wonderful week!!!

Happy Halloween Weight Watchers!!!

How are we surviving through the sea of candy? So far so good here, the draw to stuff as much candy in my body as humanly possible just isn't there this year. DS even tried to share my favorites with me, but I promptly put them in the share bucket that is going to work with me. I may be strong now, but who knows when temptation will rear its ugly head, so better to get rid of it while I have the will power.

Hoping everyone is doing well and hanging in there!

Tiggerlover- That's awesome how you handled halloween. Congratulations!! You should be proud. I, on the other hand did just the opposite, and started eating candy on my way home from work when I got stuck in traffic, and continued while taking my son trick or treating. I'm glad today is over, and tomorrow is a new day and a new month, and I'm going to make it a good month and LOSE SOME WEIGHT!!! Before the challeng of the next holidays!!

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!!

Good morning everyone!

I was hoping there was a WW thread on WISH. Let me do a short reintroduction of myself. I was a die hard low carber and lost about 110 pounds with a combo of Atkins and South Beach. I was not able to sustain that way of life and felt like such a failure, especially when I gained back half the weight. I have floundered for over a year trying to find the right program for me. After doing much research and the old "try it on my own" thing I decided I needed some guidelines and structure. On Sunday night, I joined WW on-line and this is day 4 for me. I love this program! It is so freeing not to have food restrictions. I thought I would do Core but it reminds me too much of lc so I picked flexed and could not be happier.

I hope you do not mind this former low carber turned WW convert joining the group. WISH was a big part of my success a few years ago. I want to get the 55 pounds off I gained plus reach my WW target goal, although I admit, at this point, I really don't see myself weighing 126 pounds when I weight 230.6 right now.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and I'm going to be doing a bit of backtracking and reading some of the thread to see what I have been missing.
