At least it was only a pound....after eating out every meal it could have been worse. So you have proven that you have learned to make better choices since it wasn't more. And good for you for getting to the exercise room every day!!!

Went to WI tonight and found out I had lost that pound that I gained over the weekend. I was so excited because I was only 1 pound over my goal weight, so therefore, I MADE LIFETIME!!! I am so excited. Always feels like such an accomplishment after all the hard work! Now I have to keep it off for good!!! :thumbsup2

party: LIFETIME!!!WHOO HOO!!!party:
Congratulations!!! You should be so proud of yourself!!!! And you will keep it off for good!!! :thumbsup2

 Mik! Congrats on the two pounds, that is great. And what a great idea walking to the school to see your DS get off the bus (and getting your exercise). How are you holding up? I know when my DS was of to K I had a harder time then he did.
Thanks tig. I'm actually doing fine. I thought it would be harder. He did just fine and couldn't get on the bus fast enough, and happily got in line at the school and loved it. I met the bus today again at school, then took a long walk, met a friend for coffee. I think because he has to be in school, this is guilt-free time for me and I'm enjoying it. Before if I sent him to daycare when I wasn't working, I always felt guilty and wanted to pick him up early. There is a little guilt about all the house and yard work that needs to be done, but that's easier to ignore.
Hey, you have some company at Lifetime now with Harvest. Some day I'll get there.
Have a great weekend everyone.

I look forward to celebrating that day with you!!!!

Enjoy your guilt-free time...I totally understand.

I weighed in for August on friday and I am happy to report that I am still at goal. I really would love to be 5 pounds under goal, but all of this exercising is toning me, but I am not losing....maybe some day. But for now I am happy to be at goal. :)

KJo719, mikamah, tiggerlover......Thanks for the congratulations! I am so happy also, as you might imagine. I think I am doing much better in making good food choices when going out to eat, as well as watching portion sizes. I also discovered Walking Away the Pounds a month or so ago and really enjoy that for working out! She uses lots of weights in the program, and it is so easy to follow! I picked up 2 pound weights at Target on clearance last week(for $1.60 each). They make a world of difference! I will keep it off for good, I hope!!!

Goal is a good place to be. I think fall is a much easier time to lose weight, and eat better. Keep up the exercise and you will lose those last 5 pounds.

I weighed in and was down 1.2 pounds. My eating was up and down this week. Today I went for a walk, and went a different route that was longer than I thought and I walked for 90 minutes. I've been doing 45-60 on the days I walk. Now I'm going to get some exercise cleaning my neglected house before I go back to work on wednesday. If I do it today, I can goof off all day tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone.

Well, WI did not go well as I was up 1 lb. I added weights to the mix last week and really feel like I am retaining water. But I think things are "re-organizing" as my clothes fit a little better. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it would have been nice to post a loss for the week. I leave tomorrow for the World, and am hoping to stay quasi-on track during the free dining. Though I don't think I will feel bad for not finishing a meal, since I *technically* did not pay for it!!! Water will be crucial, as it is supposed to be pretty warm (low 90's).

Congrats Harvest on making lifetime!!! I am looking forward to that day myself, and I will get there eventually!!

:grouphug: on the gain. I'm sure it's fluid and I've heard that when you start using weights and gaining muscle the muscle definitely holds onto water.
Have an magical vacation. All that walking will help, and WDW is the best reason to gain a little weight. I'm going to start planning a trip for the spring, and I can't wait!!! Have fun with Mickey!!

I haven't weighed in for a few weeks now. Been on vacation and such. Plan to weigh in on friday. I just hope to see only a small gain.

Im thinking of switching to CORE from Flex. Anyone have any advice to share with me?

Sorry you had a gain this week. :hugs: At least your clothes are fitting better, that is a wonderful indicator. Have a great time on your trip to the world and make sure you have your walking shoes!! Also if you can, pack some low point snacks that you can slip in your bag or backpack, it helps if you have one treat a day and then have some "safe" snacks at the ready.

So glad to see you back on the boards, you have been missed! Hope you had a wonderful vacation and good luck with the WI on friday.

I do not have much to say about core, but can tell you I was thinking about trying it for a week myself to see how it goes. I have three WW friends that are following core, but they are new to it, they are liking it so far, but I think it is too early to tell the effects. If you do try it out, please let us know how it goes for you!

As for me I am having some knee and shin problems. Saw the doctor today and he ordered me to ease up on my Curves workout and watch my walking. He also gave me an anti-inflamatory and wants to see me back in 10 days. I am a little worried because the working out 4 times a week has been affording me the opportunity to eat more of what I want. Not sure what I am going to do, but will hopefully figure something out as I have a charity walk that I am participating in in 11 days and I already have sponsorship and feel the need to walk. Wish me luck!

Sorry to hear about your knee issues. Do you think it could be caused by the curves machines? A while back when curves just came out, there was a center locally who had multiple people who injured their knees, and I never heard if they weren't using the machines properly, or weren't trained properly. I can't remember any details about it. That will be tough, not to be able to exercise, but maybe if you really take it easy and rest, the antiinflammatory will help, and you'll heal quickly. Hang in there.:grouphug:

I have never tried core. I've thought about doing it numerous times, but in the end, I guess I need more convenience foods than core will allow me. Good Luck. Let us know how it goes. The people who do core seem to love it.

Hello everyone!

Congrats Harvest02 on making lifetime!!! :cool1: That is just great. I hope to be there too....hopefully by January! That's my long term goal....my short term goal is to make GOAL by Halloween. I had my first gain (only .4, so I am not too upset) since July yesterday. I went on a business trip for a couple days and I wasn't surprised that I was up a little, but it really shakes my confidence when I have a gain. I got right back OP when I got home, but I am still a little down about it. The other unfortunate thing is that my favorite WW leader switched her meetings and she is no longer doing the meeting time that I like to go to. Has that happened to anyone else? I can't decide what is more important..the time or the leader..??? I will just have to decide that for myself. Anyway...that's it for me today! Hope everyone is having a great week! :wave2:

Thanks, Mik. No, I don't think it has to do with the Curves machines, it has been an ongoing issue for me over the last year or so, just not as bad as it has been lately. The ibuprofen isn't helping much, I think I may switch to Aleve and see how that goes. I went easy yesterday at Curves and I am not as sore today as I was the other day so I am hoping by babying my knees I will feel better.
