WW Weekly Weigh-in

Stacerita, I haven't tried it myself (haven't even seen the newest issue of WW Mag). Maybe you should give it a try and let us all know. ;) Seriously though, I am not a big pumpkin fan, but I do love cheesecake, would love to hear some reviews of it.

Has anyone tried that Pumpkin Cheesecake recipe in the WW magazine before? I'm not a pumpkin pie fan, but I love me some cheesecake. Just wondering if its yummy or not. And if its worth the points.

And congrats to all those who had a loss.

I'm going to make this for Thanksgiving at my mom's house. I'm not a fan of pumpkin but I like cheesecake and I figure this would be a good dish to share with everyone. If I don't like it, it's one less thing for me to eat!

 Everyone is doing great! We're in this together!

I think I might go ahead and make that pumpkin cheesecake this weekend as a test run. Well, if all goes well at my weigh in on saturday then I will.

I am here to report that changing things up a bit worked.....I weighed in tonight and there was 1.4 lbs. less of me!! A little more than 11 pounds until I reach my goal....woo hoo!!! I am worried with the holidays coming, but I am trying hard to stay focused. Would definitely like to see at least 3 more pounds gone by Thanksgiving, so that is my short term goal.

:cheer2: Keep up the great work one and all!!! We can do this!!!! :cheer2:

Onward and downward!!!

I know I'm late, but WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every little bit counts! Remember the .2!!!

Thanks Kim, thanks mik!

mik, I have a suggestion for your candy drawer at work. Why not buy some of Whitman's (Weight Watcher) candies, they are only 1 PT a piece and they have one that is like peppermint patty, one that is a yummy caramel cluster and one that is similar to a Mounds candy. This way you don't have to deprive yourself, however you can still enjoy chocolate like everyone else.

Here's a link: http://www.russellstover.com/jump.jsp?itemType=CATEGORY&itemID=7

I'm with ya mik! They have stationed the candy dish RIGHT in front of my desk :furious: - I tell ya, no consideration at all!!! I do OK in the morning, it doesn't really bother me, but by the afternoon, not only is it calling my name, but with stressful days (like yesterday), it is SCREAMING my name!!! Ever since I quit smoking the chocolate has been harder and harder to avoid. Yesterday was so bad I actually used flex points to have a glass of wine when I got home!!! And I NEVER drink!!!!

Actually, the stress here at work has gotten to be so bad, I actually started crying on my way home yesterday (which led to the wine incident lol). DH wants me to quit, be a stay home mom, which sounds great, but I worry about losing out on that money (I was planning to use it for our upcoming Disney trip LOL). I'll think about it over the weekend and come up with a decision Monday I guess.

Thanks for letting me run on!!! :grouphug:

Down 4.4 this week! I have two parties this week-end so I'm going to have to really stay on track. No gains for me!

For ktnlxismom: Good luck with your decision. I know you'll make the right choice for you and your family.

I refuse to buy candy for Halloween!!!

Thanks! And I do remember and I am celebrating, I was so pleased with my weigh in. Don't think next week is going to be as good as I got hurt at work today and won't be working out (or doing much of anything) this weekend. But I am trying to eat well, so that should count for something. Hopefully a half pound as that will put me into another weight bracket.

I am sorry that you are having a rough time at work, :grouphug: . No one should have to get to the breaking point, but I know it happens as I have been there before. Don't let them win, be strong, be good to yourself like kbmoo said! Hang in there, we are here for you to support you any way we can.

Keep up the great work!!!!

Hey Becca, sorry your week has been so stressful. It is so hard having candy around at work. Sometimes when it's real stressful, there's not a minute to take a break, and the candy is all I get, which is so bad. Hang in there. Hope you have a relaxing weekend.

Tiggerlover- thanks for the russell stover suggestion. I try to bring some of those caramel nips-hard candy cuz it lasts longer. The mints sound good. I'll have to check them out.

Kathinowa- Whoo hoo :thumbsup2 Awesome loss. Keep it up. :cheer2:

I didn't have the best eating days wed and thur, but was better today, and hope to stay there. Have a great weekend everyone.

:confused3 What happened? Are you ok? :guilty:

I am okay, just super, super sore! I had a metal dolly loaded with 4 boxes of legal paper fall on top of me crashing me into a concrete floor.....ouch! I'm a little black and blue in a few places...(including an unmentionable place) so it is hard to sit or lay or anything for long periods of time. But I will be fine, just not working out too much, but trying to move as to not stiffen up. Thanks for asking. :)

OUCH!!!! Sounds very painful!! I hope you feel better!

Hi Everybody!
I've been gone for a while, looks like everyone is doing so great! It is inspiring to come here and read your stories.

Weigh day for me...Down 2.2lbs! Total of 13.4lbs down in 9 weeks! I had a couple little gains the last two weeks, so this is really good news for me.

Also, we were on vacation this week...so a loss is a huge surprise. We live in a country where no pork is allowed. We visited a country with pork :thumbsup2 Let's just say we are referring to the vacation as a PorkFest. The good news is I did better than I would have if I hadn't have been on WW. And the activity of a vacation, walking, swimming, tubing, etc. really DOES count as exercise!

Buffets are still a big problem for me. Want to get my monies worth :confused3 and I go for the stuff I really like and don't eat all the nice fruits and veggies like I should! Baby steps....still had a great loss...and I'm learning all the time.

Keep up the good work everyone!
Katy :sunny:

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. After thinking about it and discussing it with my family, I think I'll go ahead and give my notice on Monday. DH says I should take some time, and if I really want to keep working, to find something part time that I really like. He said there is no rush to find anything else or at all if I don't want to, so I think that's what I'll do. The hard part will be actually giving the notice. No matter how bad things are, I always feel guilty when I put my notice in. Don't know why. Heck, at this point, I've been so unmotivated for so long, they will probably be happy to get rid of me LOL!

OUCH!!!!!

(Did you get the license plate number?? :confused3 - J/K!!!!)

Healing {{HUGS}}!!! :goodvibes

Congrats and Good WISHes everyone! :grouphug: :cheer2:

Hope you are feeling better tiggerlover. And congrats to you Katy Belle!

I had weigh in yesterday morning and Im down another 3.8 lbs!! So thats a total of 8.1 lbs in two weeks. Im so psyched!! I plan to start doing some work on the treadmill this week coming up. So hopfully I will keep up with this losing streak. Since I had another loss this weigh in, I'm going to try out that pumpkin cheesecake recipe.

Keep being good to yourselves everyone!

Stacerita- Congratulations on your great loss. 8.1 in two weeks is so motivating. Keep up the awesome work. :cool1:

ktnlxysmom- Good luck with giving your notice. I'm sure it won't be easy, but it is what's best for you and your family now. Hope all goes smoothly.

Katy-congrats on your loss this week. 2.2 after vacation is awesome.

Tiggerlover- hope you are feeling better.

I just bought my halloween candy, and made some halloween snack mix for a party this afternoon. I ate a late lunch so I shouldn't need to eat anything at the party, and can just munch on some healthy stuff. I did figure out the points for the candy I bought, and right now I don't want to spend the points. Hope Halloween is fun and temptation-free (as much as it can be) for everyone.

Thanks to you all for the good wishes, I do appreciate them. I am feeling better and getting around, but still sore in certain spots. I think it will just take some time.

KatyBelle, congrats to you, 13.4 pounds in 9 weeks is awesome. I am sitting at 12 pounds in 13 weeks, so you are doing a fantastic job! I haven't been brave enough to do a buffet yet, but SH and DS are itching to go to Golden Corral, not sure how much longer I can put them off. ;)

ktnlxismom, good luck on your decision, I hope getting away from that stressful work environment helps you out. And your DH is right, you can always get another job PT somewhere else....somewhere less stressful!

Woo Hoo Stacerita!!!!! Another 3.8 is great!!!! Keep up the great work.

I have to share a woo hoo moment of my own this week. I am sure for some it wouldn't be a big deal, but for me it is. I went shopping today and I bought two pairs of size 12 pants (one a jean and one a courdoroy). It has been awhile since I have had on 12's so it was a jump up and down moment for me today. :Pinkbounc

Keep up the great work everyone. Be strong this week with Halloween and all of the candy. Someone told me to savor the first three bites of whatever you eat and then you won't have to eat anymore....so maybe that will work with candy!

Onward and downward!!!! Be strong!!! :grouphug:
