WW Weekly Weigh-in

Thanks for the encouragement, Otto's Doll!

Actually, I'm back to say that I was down 1.8 lbs. My husband pointed out that I was not even close to being centered on the scale and then demonstrated how far off it throws everything. He had a 3.6 lb. difference from the right way and the way I was standing. Sure enough, when I read the manual, they showed a diagram that explained all about the importance of standing in a certain place on the scale. I have now marked it for future reference so I don't have any more down days.

And yes, I now know not to eat pizza the day before WI. You would have thought I could have figured that one out on my own. Oh well! I'm just happy I posted a loss!

And I forgot to say that I got my first clippie! Yippee for my 5 lb. clippie!

Shauna~Great job! I also had pizza last night before weigh-in (why do we do this to ourselves??), but I still had a 2 pound loss. I will be drinking water all day today to offset my pizza from yesterday!

I still need to really focus on my water and exercise. I am hoping if I can combine my good eating with some good exercise, I could really have a good loss!

Good luck to everyone else this week.

Christy

First let me just say, you are ALL a bunch of LOSERS :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes The weight loss reports are amazing!

Big losses happen early, they are NOT the recommended course though. ;) Slow, steady, consistent will help keep you OP, and keep the weight off, in the end, for the distance. jmho ;)

Stay for the 'distance'...it works! :smooth:

Boy am I learning this, Kim! I used to get cautioned because my WL was too fast. Now I am grappling for any loss I can get! Last week I was UP (first time gaining) 2 lbs. This week I am down 1.4 lbs which still puts me up .6 lbs since Feb 28th :sad2: But I am actually not worrying about it. I know my body has hit the hard part. Its going to be a lot of hard, consistent work from this point on.

Keep up the great work everyone :cheer2:

I'm down another 2.4 pounds! Despite having a reception for our new minister yesterday in which I indulged in a piece of cake. :earboy2: I did, however, account for it and used some of my flex points.

Have a good week everyone !

Yep, same thing happened to me some weeks, and I'm doing WW online, so I'd get these 'messages' after I posted my loss. In the end, those BIG weeks balance out the normal, or hard to get, losses. ;)

And, I am back again with that stinkin' 1/2 lb, but it's a loss this week! Oh, it's funny to me actually. :rotfl:

Here's my boost for the week (hope it helps someone): I ordered, and received, a size 10, 2-pc tankini this past week. Wasn't sure if I overstepped the size boundary there, given it's a bathing suit and all, and when I saw the pieces, I thought, Good Lord what have I done? :confused3 WAY too skimpy, but guess what, it looks ok (on this old lady body)! :Pinkbounc Not bad, if I do say so myself. ;) Mind you, last spring I was wearing a size 20 one-piece, cover-every-inch-you-can, swimsuit! :rotfl:

Here's to YOUR dream size swimsuit this year, and every year to come! :goodvibes :cheer2: :disrocks:

WAY TO GO, KIM!

You do a great job at keeping me (and others) inspired & OP! Thank you!
Kristi

Kim -- that is AWESOME!!!! Congratulations!!!
I lost 2 this week -- this is going slowly, but surely. Hope I am where you are a year from my start on 1.17.05 -- just in time for a nice bathing suit at WDW when we go down for the 1/2 marathon!
Thanks for inspiring me!

Great job Kim!!

Today's WI was good... lost 1.4 pounds for a total of 44.8 pounds :cool1: Guess I won't be claiming my 45 pound clippie till next week, but am really shooting for that 50 pound one next. Still want to lose 13.8 by the time our vacation, which is only in 7 weeks. Going to be VERY tough....

Woo hoo - way to go Kim! I bet you look fabulous!

I lost 3 pounds at WI last night!!

Everyone amazes me. You are all doing so well.

I weigh in tomorrow. Hoping for a loss as always.

I weighed in today... down 2.8lbs for a total of 19.8lbs. On my weigh down...
Kim, congrats, you must feel so much better than you did a year ago!

Way to go MelanieC, Tera & Otto's Doll! Denine - my fingers are crossed for you tomorrow...

I wish I had as good of news as you guys have, but I was down .2 lbs. this week. Pretty good since I had an awesome week last WI and I have been showing a gain every other week. So, maybe my small increase in thyroid meds is starting to help - with two loss weeks in a row!

One thing I found out that I was doing wrong though - Viactiv calcium supplements do not count towards your calcium for the day. I have been counting that as one calcium all along. Oops! I don't drink milk, so this is a tough one for me. I drink a Dannon fit & light smoothie every day, so that's one. I need to find another...

I also don't really get the oil thing either. But one problem at a time! ;)

I totally agree!!! You make me proud to be among you! :cool1: :grouphug:

While I'm hugely embarrassed  by all the Congrats, I guess I need to realize my 'place' here now, but I truly don't feel any different than all of you. Maintaining, to me anyway, is the same as trying to lose, only I have a few more points each week. ;) I still LOVE reading about everyone's losses and successes, and I KNOW how you all feel! :goodvibes You're doing FABULOUS! :cheer2:

Here's another boost for ya: Tonight I tried on last summers (brand new) shorts, and they're too big! Now while that's supposed to be a boost for you, I HATE clothes shopping for myself, so WISH me luck in finding those same, comfy shorts in a smaller size, ok? ;) Otherwise, I'll be wearing that tankini all summer long! :earseek: :rotfl2:

:grouphug: for EVERYONE here! :wave2:

Kim: Here's to new, smaller, comfy shorts!

I lost 2 pounds this week!!! I go down to the next level of points in 3 pounds. While I will be thrilled at the lost weight, I am not thrilled about losing 2 points. I guess I will survive.

Krisit: A loss is a loss! Congrats! I don't get both dairy products in either. Some days I do, but most I don't. I generally have yogurt for breakfast.

Congrats Otto's Doll!

Kim - It's always great news when your old clothes are too big :goodvibes You might feel different about clothes shopping since you get to try on smaller clothes :flower:

WEIGH to go Denine!! 2 pounds is awesome... I have about 10 more pounds to go and I'll be going down to the next and final level with my points. That'll be a good thing and bad ;)

Kristi - I don't drink as much milk as I use to, but I do drink slimfasts in the morning before working out. I usually get my calcium from cheese, especially string cheese. Yogurt and pudding are also a good source.

weighed in today and I was down 4.4 for a total of 12.8 the last 3 weeks. I haven't been feeling very well the past few weeks due to exhaustion, so I haven't been eating and I know when I start feeling better I'll probably put some of that weight loss back on. When I don't feel well, I just don't want to eat, so I'm not eating that much during the day.

Congrats to everyone else on their weight loss this week!

Diane

Hello everyone! This is my first post to this thread, I hope you don't mind me joining in. I've been a WW member in the past (a couple of times) and I've done it on my own. I decided last week to rejoin the meetings b/c I just wasn't motivated on my own anymore.

I had weigh in last night after being back on the flex (points) program for the past week and I was down 4.2 lbs! I hope I stick with it this time and good luck to everyone this week!

I went last night and was shocked to discover I've lost another 3.2 lbs. The group leader actaully asked me if I'm eating all my points everyday. I think I am, since I'm on the 24 pt. a day plan.

Welcome Cindy!

We are all doing so well!

I ate my corned beef and potatoes today and am having Irish cream tonight. Saved my weekly points for today.
