Onederland is when the scale is out of the 200's and you are in the 190's. It's a great feeling.

Hi Everyone!

I have FINALLY gotten through all 101 pages of posts and I want to commend you all on such fantastic losses! I am a stay at home mom of a 4 year old and a 2 year old. They sure make life interesting! I joined WW 5 weeks ago and to date have lost 8.6 pounds. Yeah!!!! I'm hoping to lose another 25.

I made my ADRs yesterday for early May. I am really obsessed with planning this trip and finding out everything that I possibly can. Brain overload is totally happening!!! I know I'm going to blow my points out of the water when I go to Disney, but hopefully all that walking will counteract it.

Today my challenge will be staying on track at a kids birthday party where they are serving pizza. I've been trying to save my points, but today and yesterday I feel like I've been snacking all day. Well, off to make another cup of tea! It seems to fill my belly a little and give me something to do with my mouth.

Sue,welcome to our little thread.

Cepmom, I'd be interested in learing what they teach you in "leader" school.

I'm hungry all day today too. I'm thinking of taking myself out of the house for awhile and walking.

cepmom, how did it go at your training? I have been asked to join their staff, but I just don't have enough free time for it.....maybe in the future, so I would to hear how it went.

Do you ever share this in a meeting? In our meetings there are only a few of us who share under a pound losses or gains and I wonder if some of the people who choose not to are discouraged. I think that if we only hear the stellar losses it is impossible to recognize that WW is not a fad where you lose impressive amounts every week.

I haven't had (or made) the opportunity to share this at a meeting, but I think you are absolutely correct. So many people at the meetings I go to talk about slow and steady losses, so I am sure the topic will come up in the next couple weeks.

Thank you so much for the recipes. they all sounds great and those cheesecake bites sound dangerous. congrats on your loss!

Hi all, :wave2: I started back doing WW this Monday and I am totally motivated to shed some weight for a few reasons.
Fran

Welcome! They sound like great reasons and I can't wait to hear how everything goes for you! Congrats on the great loss this week!

I lost 1.8 when I weighed in on Thursday. I'll take it.

:cheer2: congrats! I hear you on being sick of winter, although I can't complain... we've had unusually warm couple days here in KC.

I hope it went well! I would love to hear about all about it.

Hi sue! welcome and congrats on your loss so far! Hope the party went well; pizza is certainly one of my weaknesses...

I lost 0.4 more yesterday at my WI. :cool1: I love seeing the numbers go down. I'm working towards a fantastic week and I'm hoping that I can hit that 45 lb mark this week or next week. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Rachel

We have a couple of people at our meeting who do not lose but come every week. We cheer them on and give them a bravo for keeping at it. In some ways that is more motovating to me then someone who loses tons each week.

Fran

great idea although I can't give you my weekly plan because it's a secret to me too... :rotfl2: But I can give you some ideas of different meals and products I like

I am working on making breakfast a priority, but my fall back is the fiber one oats and chocolate bar (2 points) w/ a piece of fruit. My problem is I don't like to get out of bed until absolutely necessary, so I eat on the run a lot...

I love Quaker Oats Weight Control Instant Oatmeal, especially the brown sugar and cinnamon. It's 3 points, but it has a lot of fiber and protein, so I find it sticks with me a long time, and it's easy. I tend to have this more as a snack or part of lunch than for breakfast.

For snacks I like fruit (apples, bananas, tangerines) and veggies/salads, hummus/pitas, and yogurt. I decided to try the FF plain yogurt, since it's a filling food. I add Fiber one cereal (0pts for 30 grams) and clementines. I do not like it by itself but w/ the additions it tastes alright. I'm still tweaking it. I do the 94% ff popcorn if I'm extremely hungry, because I tend to eat the whole bag (so 3 points). I also like Sara Lee 45 calorie bread (1 point for two) and Health Crunch bagels (3 points or 1 point for half). The bagels are found in Walmart's refrigerated section next to the cream cheese.

We are cooking a turkey today because I promised my husband we could do a mini thanksgiving. we'll have turkey, have some stove top stuffing (I love this stuff, I'm sorry to say), and split a sweet potato... it'll be 8 points because we are skipping the gravy. I'll be making stuff like soup and casseroles from leftovers that I'll use for lunches and dinners.

I'm trying to cut out frozen meals because I'm trying to trim my grocery budget along with my waist. I'm just now getting back into cooking dinners and making enough for lunches, so I can't wait to hear whatever one else likes. I tend to get sick of many things if I eat it too much, so I'm always looking for new ideas.

Can't wait to hear what everyone else says!

me too. i also have a lot of respect for people who come, weigh in and stay for meeting even when they know they have had a gain. I hope the people in your meeting realize how motivating they are to others.

I make it a point to tell them that all the time. We have have a number of people in my group that are at goal and have been there for at least a year, they come EVERY WEEK!

For breakfast I usually have oatmeal - I buy a container on Monday and split it to have on Mon and Tues. It's exactly a cup each day and it's fresh made real oatmeal. I find it really keeps me going most of the morning. I do the same for Thurs and Fri. Wed is bagel day in my office, so I always bring my own WW bagle. Mid morning I usually have a piece of fruit. Lunch is usually a four point. Pita with some chicken or tuna, a salad, and usually a 1 pt WW yogurt. Late afternoon is another fruit.

I like to keep at least 11 to 12 pts for the evening. At least an 8 pt dinner, a fruit and a treat. I have found that the WW meals taste far better if they are cooked in the oven vs. the microwave. I also add stuff to them. I usually try and cook fresh at least 4 to 5 days of the week.

Last week I made lentils -- rather then boil them on the top of the stove, I baked them in the oven. Put them in a shallow pan, covered with water and baked them for about 3 hours. I then added spices and some fat free broth. They were wonderful. High in fiber, low in calories and great to add to whole wheat pasta, soup, or just heated up.

Ok - time to send willpower vibes my way. I have 100 boxes of girl scout cookies in my house!

We have one gal at goal for 18 months. she is there every week, takes notes and shares her progress. I wish more people came and stayed for the meeting. They show me how to stay focused.

I make it a point to tell them that all the time. We have have a number of people in my group that are at goal and have been there for at least a year, they come EVERY WEEK!

My DDIL is there every week with us and she struggles. She had been losing .2 for what seemed forever. And she listened to 5.6, 2.4, blah blah blagh.............. she clapped and cheered and never complained. Turns out Debbie our leader has been sharing her progress at her meetings and has heard several time "If Erica can do this then so can I." Last Monday one woman who has generally kept a downward trend told us that she kept thinking that if Erica could keep on then she will too." Erica has lost about 40 pounds :cheer2::cheer2:

:wizard:

I also don't make a real meal plan, I just tend to shop for teh foods we like to eat.
Breakfgas is either puffed wheat, skim milk and a banana or oatmeal or two eggs on a light English Muffin

Lunch is either leftoves or a salad with some kind of protein

Dinner has turned into casseroles, much to the dismay of my DH.

I snack on apples, oranges SF FF pudding and the popcorn my DD makes.

WI is tonight and I am feeling good. I do want to lose but am prepared to be a little disappointed. I am on my last 4 pounds adn have heard that those can be teh toughest to shedd. Wish me luck!

Hi everyone! Well, after 3-4 really good weeks, I have hit a yo-yoing period. As soon as my hours at work increase with of course the associated stress level, there goes my good eating habits & weight.

Well, after this week (I will probably hit 55-60 hours this week), I should be back to normal next week. So my goal for this week is to get abck to those good habits that I had in January.

I wieghed in tonight and am up another pound--not surprising since I've not been following any program, and have not been exercising much either. It really is time to make the committment and go forward.
