WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

well this week I was down 0.2. I guess a loss is a loss. I am trying to stay positive, and hopefully next week will be a bigger number.

Dandemom (((hugs))) that darn scale has a mind of it's own some weeks. Just don't eat into it. It's like the devil tempting you too. As for your DH, sneak some 10 pt something into his 0 point snack (Just kidding).

Do any of you eat oatmeal on a regular basis? I can tell you that since I've started eating it at least 4 to 5 times a week (sometimes more) my weight loss has been more steady and I eat a lot less junk type (1 pt stuff) during the day. It has the type of fiber that PULLS the fat from you as it works through your system.

can I ask what kind of oatmeal you eat? old fashioned oats or instant oatmeal? Just curious!! Thanks

I was wondering about the oatmeal, too. I also add the apple and cinnamon and I put in some sugar twin brown sugar substitute to make it sweet.

cepmom-that is so awesome!! I'm sure something will open up soon.

May I join?

Starting week 2

Start Weight - 190 lbs / BMI 29.8
Current weight - 187 lbs / BMI 29.3
Goal weight - 150 lbs / BMI 23.5

Mary Anne, I was wondering about the oatmeal too, do you eat the WW brand? I tried making mine homemade the other day and it was way too bland to eat.

Hi guys! It looks like I am getting back on track.

I was down 4 lbs tonight. Though in reality, I think that some of that was from last week but there was just too much sodium in the chinese food that weekend.

I got behind somehow, I am so sorry. I wanted to check in to welcome our newcomers and to congratulate all of our losers! This see the only place I know that being a loser is a good thing :rotfl2:

I skipped my WI tonight, It was a really bad week and I am off track a bit. I know I have a few more days of this craziness so I will worry about it then.

cepmm! Congrats!

I started out using the WW brand and liked it the first couple of times but then it grew old fast plus I discovered if I used my own real oatmeal it really did taste better. I make regular oatmeal (not quick oats) cooked according to directions, with water. I then take one cup cooked and to it add some equal and Cinnamon to taste and then add BROWN SUGAR SPLENDAR on top and let it melt in. Trust me, two or three teaspoons of the brown sugar splendar really makes it tastes wonderful. I also add some raisins. In all I count it as 3 pts.

When we go out for breakfast on the weekend, I bring my own brown sugar to add to it.

feel free to vent away! I remember when I had my first gain after being so careful with my points! It was so discouraging, but it did motivate me to get moving. Once I got into working out, the weight started to come right off again. Oh, and give your DH a slap for me will ya? ;)

I eat oatmeal pretty regularly and I noticed the same thing. It's my go to breakfast when I need to get my weight loss going again. I add a chopped up granny smith apple and cinnamon also and it's really good. It lasts me a long time which is nice on work days when I can't always get food right when I'm hungry.

I'm back from my interview and the good news I am officially a WW employee now! :woohoo:

The bad news is they don't have a meeting in my territory they need staffed yet :sad2: so for now I am stuck still working at my retail job

I will start training and then sub when needed. I am really excited to start! I just had to share with you all!

Congradulations on the job. I hope something opens for you soon.

I've been MIA for a while. I've been really struggling lately. The weight has been very slow coming off. Even have had small increases the past few weeks. Last week I was ready to chuck the whole thing, but after having a good conversation with my leader, I came away with a renewed focus.

I'm also interested in the oatmeal. Thinking back to when I first started WW, my breakfast was mainly oatmeal, the instant kind.

Mary Anne do you make your oatmeal in a large batch, or just what you are having for 1 mornings breakfast?

And has anyone tried the steel cut oatmeal. I've seen a brand, I think it is called Coachs, at costco and was wondering if it was any good. It's a good size bag and I don't like to try something in bulk, afraid that I wont like it.

I came to the WISH board tonight looking for WW points for WDW.

My name is Aimee and in January I did the fat walk of shame. You see in 2005 I lost 100 pounds. That same day I also found out I was pregnant with my second daughter. Bittersweet to say the least. After having her I lost all of my maternity weight. Well life kicked me around last year and instead of gaining 100 pounds I gained 125. OMG THAT SUCKS!!!

So, I drove by WW for three weeks before I could face walking in. Finally on that fourth week with my head held in shame I walked through the door. It is the best thing I ever did because 45 minutes later I walked out holding my head high feeling hopeful!

So in four weeks I have lost 16.8 pounds. I weighed in today and lost 3.6. Each day is a little brighter and I am happy. I am still kicking myself but I am hopeful!!

We are taking our family to WDW in three weeks. We are surprising our oldest who is turning five. Does anyone know of a magical WDW point list? I am a core girl at heart so I am doing the simply filling technique. I was considering switching to points during our trip if I can find the points values.

I don't have any point values for Disney but I can tell you that we went in August with Deluxe Dining and I came away with a 2 lb loss!!

I figure all the walking you do there it kinda washes out.

Good luck

And to let you know your not alone. In 2002/2003 I lost 63lbs by doing WW at home. Well over time I gained almost all of that back. So in May 2008 I did the walk of shame too and joined

I haven't post in forever but I feel that its finally time to admit my faults.

Ever since Christmas I've been having the hardest time. I have lost and gained the same 2/3 lbs and its driving me crazy!!!

I just can't seem to get past this hump and out of this funk.

Tonight I lost again and it put me back to 175.8, the exact same weight I was the first week of December. UGH!

Mary Anne, thanks for the oatmeal information. It is funny, we had a body builder/nutritionalist/trainer in for lunch today at work as part of our Biggest Loser Challenge and she was really promoting oatmeal for breakfast too. Looks like I need to get on the oatmeal bandwagon and see where it takes me.

Donald is #1, good for you for getting back on track and congratulations on your loss!

:welcome: aimeeg. And congrats to you for getting back to what you know works. Life happens to us all and we have all started over again at one time or another, so you are not alone. Best of luck on your journey, you did it once, you can do it again! I don't have any WDW information for you, but am curious to see what responses you get as I will be heading to the world this summer.

memy26, don't beat yourself up, this is all part of the journey and I can tell you first hand that I have been there. As discouraging as it can be, you just have to keep plugging away and moving ahead. Make some small changes in either your exercise or your eating and a lot of times that is all it takes to get back to it. Try to surround yourself with people that can help motivate you along the way all of this together will sometimes help you over the hump. Have you talked to your leader about this, a lot of times they have some helpful tips to help you break through.

You are so not alone! I myself lost 50 pounds back in 2002/2003 and I felt so good! But the pounds slowly crept back on! I have bee full force WW at home since January 26 and I have lost total of 6 pounds! I am back in the game!

I had subscribed to this thread last year in preparation of my June 2008 trip but I didn't feel the inner motivation that I do now! So I am back and can't wait to hear the tips and success stories from all of you! We are going in June and I am setting a goal of 20 pounds by then! I want to thank you in advance for all of your support!!:thanks:
