WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Daisy - congrats on the loss, it does verify that the weight you lost was for real and it's better to keep and maintain that for a week and then lose again than go the other way. I was down .4, so I'm in the same boat as you :)

maryann - wow on your journaling everyday for 111 days!! How much have you lost so far? I have to get back onboard on journaling. I haven't in quite a while and need to really get back on track, as I'm sure not to continue losing if I'm only journaling in my head:rolleyes1

mikamah - how'd the party go today? I haven't tried the core yet cause I'm not good at stopping "when I'm full." I need to stick with points and portion control, at least for now.

OK, I have a 3 year old I need to pull a Super Nanny on and get to stay in bed.

Gottalovethem, as of last Thursday, I have lost 37 lbs since May 19th. I have not had a week that I have not lost something, even if it was only point something.

Mary Anne, I am sooo proud of you!! Keep up the good work! :thumbsup2

Micamah, good job having a plan. One of the nice things about CORE is that you can always eat even if you are out of points.

Maryanne- my face was the first place I noticed my loss. I was bloated I think, from all of the rich and the processed foods I was eating. CORE helped to flush the toxins away. I never really noticed the loss anywhere else until one day my pants fell off .

I am getting back on track TODAY especially after the last week! I am hoping to find some motivation here! You are all so supportive of one another and it is exactly what I need. I have been working out for an hour 3 or 4 times a week (depending on my schedule)...doing the eliptical for 30 minutes and then weight training. I am trying the CORE plan this time...I have 25 pounds to lose...but I have lost 5!

We are planning a trip for June 2009...we went this past June and had a wonderful time...time to plan another trip!

Thanks for letting me in and I look forward to all of the tips that you have to share!

:welcome: Congrats on your loss so far and your exercise! Sounds like you are very motivated. I did core for a few weeks last spring and did well, but then went totally awol, and gained a bunch of weight, but started last week fresh on core, and I'm finding it easier than tracking. It keeps me eating much healthier rather than using points for junk. Good luck.

Maryanne-You are amazing to track everything for 111 days, and it shows in your loss!! Nice work.

I did well at the party yesterday and had initially 1 piece of pizza, and two chips with buffalo chicken dip on them, and one bite of my son's cake. Then I stuck with fruit and drank my water. I got myself a dunkins ice coffee on the way as my treat, and that helped. I did have another piece of pizza later on in the evening as we were there all day, but when I think of how I used to eat at such parties, I probably ate one tenth of what I could have, so I'm happy. I took a walk this morning after my son got on the bus, so I must get a move on. Have a great losing day everyone!!

I just rejoined on Saturday after a year away and gaining the weight back. I'll be checking in here weekly to give and get motivation.:goodvibes

hi everyone
it's been a while since I posted last and I wanted to welcome all the newbies :welcome:

We returned from Disney about 10 days ago. Had a great trip (aside from TS Fay and all her rain) Eating was somewhat of a challenge, but not too bad. I was able to go to Publix and buy some food for our room and healthy snacks to bring to the parks with us, so that helped quitre a bit in staying on track. We had the dining plan for part of our stay, so once we were using that, my eating got a little out of control  .

we went to Whiserping Canyon and thet all you can eat skillet was calling my name:rotfl: . I let myself indulge and enjoyed every minute of it. We did so much walking that I was okay with indulging myself for a few days. When we returned I had only gained like 1 1/2 lbs :woohoo:

Unfortunately, since returning home, I have not been able to get back on track. Until today, that is. I got my lazy behind out of bed today at 6:00 and got on my treadmill for the first time in weeks. I am determined to get back on program. I feel so much better when I get that daily workout in. I swear it helps set the tone for the rest of the day. I do so much better tracking what I eat and making better choices about what to eat.

I hope to be able to check in here more often now that summer is behind us and we're back on a normal daily routine now. Nice to see you all again! Have a good, on program week everyone!

Nancy – too funny about your pants falling off one day!! Actually, I noticed that I no longer need to unbutton some of my pants to pull them down, I must be doing ok :D

Mary Ann – I admire your dedication! I started just before you, on May 4, but I haven’t been quite so diligent, though I’m still quite happy with my results. Did you get your 16 week bling? I got mine yesterday, and proudly carry it on my key chain :)

Pixiedust – good luck getting back on track. I just joined this group last week and having others to share ideas with does help!

Mikamah – congrats on doing well at the party yesterday! Good for you.

Knovak – bummer on gaining the weight back, but good for you on getting back at it again and not letting it get the best of you! Good luck to you!

Cepmom- You did a great job on your vacation! Getting back on track will get that pound a half off very quickly. Nice that you had a good trip.

I need to take a cue from Mary Ann and journal this week. I really want to have a good week and get past that 30 pound mark.

I haven't posted in awhile either. So many losers:thumbsup2 and newcomers:welcome:

I had a gain of 2 lbs at my last meeting. Not sure if I will be able to make the meeting this Thurs.

Off to make some 0 pt cabbage soup!:teacher:

got on the treadmill again today....yay me! ;)

anyone else have conversations with themselves? I swear I go back and forth with myself all the time....

I don't feel like exercising today
you know you should
I'll do it tomorrow instead
do it today or else you'll regret it
ughhh....Fine! I'll get up and exercise

am I the only one that does this??? :rotfl:

*rolls self into thread*

Hey y'all! We just got back from WDW last night, and we had the Deluxe DP WITH wine upgrade. So yeah, I'm STILL stuffed full of food.

I guess now's as good a time as any to get BOT! I've got plans to hit the grocery store today and maybe get in a little walk before I have class tonight.

I weighed myself and I'm at 158 :scared1: . I gained 5 lbs. BUT I feel so bloated and icky that I am pretty sure it's just water weight from eating all that junk constantly. I hang onto water as soon as I put anything processed in my mouth.

Here's to a great week!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I can so relate!! Last night I did that to get myself to do some crunches and such, but I did them! Woohoo

Jiminycricket - five pounds on a big ol' vacation is not horrible. I'm sure if you stick to it this week you can drop that pretty quickly.

natenapril - how was that soup? I need to make some at some point.

I'm off to a poor start this a.m., but hopefully the rest of the day will be fine and I'll stay on track. I am wearing pants today that I couldn't even zip at the end of the winter season, so that's a plus:banana:

cepmom, I have those kind of converstations with myself alot. The kids think I am crazy.

Gottalovethem, it was pretty good. My kids were not interested in it at all though.:confused3

May I join in on the fun and support? I need the support; I love to eat and don't love to exercise. This is starting my 3rd week of WW. Last night was WI and I was down 2.2 lb last night and 3.6 lb the week before so 5.8 so far! I was a little discouraged last night; I was hoping for atleast another 3lb. I just keep telling myself babysteps--it was slow coming on and will be slow coming off.

My first week I only lost 1 pound, the second week, 2 -- it took three weeks til I lost a bigger amount, I was so disheartened but created my motto of "just stick with it." I'm down 29.4 pounds so far, so it does work! Hang in there, stick with it and the weight WILL come off!

natenapril - the last time I made that soup (ok, the only time I made it :rolleyes1 ) DD LOVED it and ate a whole bunch. I think she and I finished the whole pot!

Tiggerlover- I'm sure Maryanne will have some great advice on NY, but we went in may for a day, and had planned to do a couple things, but went to central park first, and spent the whole day there. It was beautiful, and my son and niece absolutely loved climbing all the rocks, and we did the zoos. We probably only saw a quarter of the park from looking at the map, but it was a beautiful day, and I was amazed at how huge and gorgeous the park was.

Are there zoo's in Central Park? The only zoo I have been to is the Bronx Zoo (which I love). Haven't been in Central Park for years, last time was probably 10 years ago, we took a carriage ride which was really nice.

Jovo, we have to plan our trip around DS's school schedule so we would come mid-April for spring break. But thanks for the invite, that is something I would have loved to do with you guys.

MaryAnne, we hope to show DS (12) Rockefeller Center (he was a little guy the last time we were there), Central Park, FAO Shwartz, Toys R Us and Times Square (at least that is what is on his list). When we were there two weeks ago we hit the Empire State Bldg., Statue of Liberty, we saw the Bull, Ground Zero, China Town and Little Italy (we were with a group of 14 and we did what the group wanted). I am not sure if we would spend the night or not (unless you know of a decent place at a decent rate), we would probably commute in from my inlaws (near West Point). Are there any festivals or anything around Easter time? I would love to meet up with you while we are there, but I doubt my DH or DS would allow me the time for a WW meeting!

gottalovethem, I love the shows, that is so much apart of the City experience...I wish I lived closer so I could take better advantage of everything the City has to offer. We never stay the night, we always commute in while staying with family. Maybe MaryAnne has some recommendations!

CONGRATULATIONS to all of our losers, keep up the great work. {{HUGS}} to all who are struggling.

cepmom, I can totally relate, I have conversations in my head all the time!

:welcome: to all the newcomers too!

I still haven't gotten back into my grove with this thread, life keeps getting in the way. I was in the hospital again over the weekend and am working on getting myself problem-free. After I hit 40 it seems like everything is going! I thought losing weight and getting healthier would help, but boy it isn't helping enough. When I have a moment I have a picture to share with y'all, my aunt sent it to me, it is hard to believe that one can forget how big they actually were at one time, but I sure did. When I saw this picture my jaw dropped. Will share soon.

Onward and downward!

Lisa, thanks for the encouragement :lovestruc

knovak - welcome :goodvibes

cepmom best conversations are the ones I have with myself. Always get the right answers too :lmao:

Pei4ever welcome pull up a chair and stay awhile

Tiggerlover: Yes there is a Zoo in Central Park. Don't forget to see the Disney Store when you are there too. It's like one you've never seen before -- 3 floors!
Most hotels in the city are pretty pricey. If you in the West Point area, I'm assuming you'll take the bus into Port Authority? As we get closer you can talk. If you do come into Rockefeller Center, I will come down and say hello. I work right in that building.

Tiggerlover, feel better soon. Being ill and in the hospital is not fun!

Yes I have that conversation also in the store. I pick up something that I should not have carry it in my basket through the whole store and I swear Jiminy Cricket is sitting on my shoulder say "Let your contiouns be your guide" ( sorry not a good speller ) so than I say "Fine" I will put though chips back and get something healthy. And I feel better later. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have that conversation all the time.

I had WI today and was up .8. It doesn't surprise me, excep that I figured I would be up more. I was disappointed, but .8 feels manageable, and I am bound and determined to lose it and then some next week.

Tomorrow I go in for my follow up with my doctor. I will find out the results of my blood tests and whether I have diabetes or prediabetes. I'm starting to get a little nervous. I'm just ready to know what it is so I can treat it and hopefully start feeling better.
