WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Hi everyone!!! Mind if I join in with you??? I started WW a week ago this past Thursday. So this past Thursday was my first weigh in and I lost 4.4 lbs. :cool1: I was pretty happy. I have about 125 lbs to lose so I know I have a looooooong way to go, but this is a good start. I hope we can all encourage each other on this weight loss journey:grouphug:

hi there! Welcome! congratulations in taking the first step in joing WW...that first step is the hardest. Also congratulations on your loss...4.4 is great! Are you going ot meetings or doing the program online?

I noticed your Jordan Knight avatar and location....you must be in the Boston area?? I am on the South Shore...I waited on Jordan Knight one day when he was buying diapers and formula at Babies R Us where I work! I didn't realize it was him until I handed him his receipt that showed his name lol! I've seen him there a couple of times but not in a while.

Can I join?

I started WW last Wed. We were able to get an At Work Meeting set up so its really convenient. I am not sure how I'm going to do since we were at WDW over the weekend- not a good time to start eating better. I think I did pretty good though. Tried to be very careful on what I ordered when we ate out. DH is going through this with me so it has been better.

I can use all the support I can get. Thanks

Thanks for the welcome!! I am going to meetings, but I also have the online option. I do the monthly plan for $40 odd per month. So far so good. I feel great.

I am actually in Maine not in Boston. But yes I am a huge NKOTB fan and they had a reunion tour this past year, so I have had a year full of being 16 again. It's been great. My bff and I actually paid big time money to go backstage an meet all of them. What a fun year we have had. Anyway, I've gotten off the subject.......thanks again for the welcome and I'll be checking in again this Thursday after my weigh in. Wish me luck!!!

Welcome and good luck on your weight loss journey. I've only been around for a little bit, but I, like you, can use all the support I can get.

Just got back from WI-- Down 2.2!!!! :cool1: I was really hoping to just maintain since we were at WDW over the weekend and I really didn't count points only paid closer attention to what I was eating. Every little bit counts and this was only the start!

Great job. To have been on vacation and still loose 2.2 is awesome. Keep up the good work.

I went up 2 lbs this week :guilty: I didn't track as well as the week before and it was that time of month so I went on a carb fest the past couple days. I hate when I do that:mad:It's another week now though so I am starting fresh today.

congratulations!! That's so great especially considering you were on vacation!

I weighed in this morning and I am down 0.5 pounds. While I am relieved that the scale did not go up, I am getting a bit fed up with WW at the moment. I am tracking my food, I am staying within my points, I follow all the rules and nothing happens. :confused3 Our program here in Germany changed at the beginning of December and it appears as if the new program does not work for me... We did not have the weekly points before and I am a bit confused as to wether I should eat them or not. On the German WW forums a lot of people post that they lose better if they eat their weekly extra... What are your esperiences with it??

Congratulation! That is great, sometimes it really is just important to keep an eye out for what you are eating

That's what I like: a new week is always a goo chance for a fresh start, just leave last weeks errors behind you! :goodvibes

I find that I lose more when I eat the extra points too. What I try to do is to mix up the usage each day though....5 extra points one day, 3 the next day, 12 the next day, 0 the day after etc. If you use the same amount of points every day your body will get used to that and not work as hard. Keep your body guessing and it will help get your metabolism moving.

That sounds interesting, thanks for the advise! I will try that this week and then I can weigh in next Wednesday morning one last time before boarding the plane to WDW a few hours later! I won't be counting points while on vadation, but will try to make good choices. I am traveling with my sister and we are planning on splitting a lot of meals.

I am really looking forward to a bit of a break from WW and hope that this will help me start fresh with a lot of energy after I come back.

It happens but everyday is a new day. That's what I like about WW is it's so easy to just get back on rack. I think that's harder to do with other programs.

That's great advice. I don't always use all my extra points. The one thing I just can't give up is the way I make my coffee in the morning so I tend to use my extra points towards that.

I weighed in yesterday and went up .4. I can live with that. I thought it would be worse. My husband was home for the week and I tend to slip when he's around and I slacked big time in my exercise routine. My whole morning schedule was just all thrown out of whack. He's gone again so back on track I go.

I agree with you: it is so easy to just say: ok, today I will forget about yesterday and just start fresh again. :goodvibes

Sorry about the gain, but it'S great that it wasn't more. I find it very difficult to keep on track as well when I have company. I am really a social eater. Restaurants are ok since I get set portion, but the worst thing for me are parties with buffets. I really tend to overeat there. But after doing WW for about 10 months now I can't eat as much anymore. I feel full much sooner than I used to, so this helps a lot! :thumbsup2

Just got in from my weekly weigh in and I'm down another 5 pounds. So that make 9.4 pounds lost in two weeks. I am beyond excited. I did NOT expect to have lost that much again this week. I guess it's really working!!!

Thanks everyone! I'm sure it won't stay this way week after week, but boy it sure feels good the first two weeks to have losses like that. No secret really, just following my points everyday, pushing A LOT of water and exercising everyday for at least an hour but more like 1 1/2. I usually do about 40 minutes of cardio and 40 minutes of weights and a 10 minute cool down of cardio. It seems to be doing the trick. I definitely am having to "make" the time for myself as I have also just started going back for some college courses. So I am a mom, a wife, have a full time job which is usually about 50 hours per week, work out every day and somehow I am still finding time to fit it all in. I'm sure it will get tiriing after awhile, but for now it is working. Another reason I am trying to lose weight is because we want another child and being as overweight as I am is making it difficult for me to get pregnant, so keeping my fingers crossed for all things to go in the right direction!!!

Thanks for all of your support, I was really excited to come on here last night and post!!!!

Congratulations to everyone on their losses. I haven't been on here in a longtime. I have went to WW since August of 2004 and it's been off and on with. I needed the combination of workout and WW to get me going. I have made a promise to myself to loose the weight and keep it off. My adventure started in October since October I have lost 14.0 pounds. I workout 6 days a week doing 30 minutes of cardio and than weights after that. But I am also taking a circut class on Thursday where we do cardio for 2 minutes than we do weights for 2 minutes we have 16 stations we use. I get up at 5 am every morning and go to the gym and that is how I start out my day. Last week I lost 7.2 pounds I have never lost that much weight in one week. This week I gained .2. I can't complain .2 is nothing into comparison of what I lost week. So with a good and determined attitude I will be ready for my first Disney Cruise on the new ship The Dream in February of 2011. I just thought I would share my story.

Hi all-

Haven't been here in a while, thought I would jump back on the bandwagon.

In 2007, I lost 50lbs doing WW and exercise. Then in 2008, I pretty much maintained that, even though I still needed to lose another 50 lbs. In 2009, I started training for my first two half marathons, a local race and the Disney Half. After the half marathon, we went on a cruise for a week.

So last Monday when I weighed myself I was up 18 lbs from my lowest weight.

Today I started back on WW points, will implement exercise plan on Monday. My goal is to get from 180 where I am right now to 150 by mid May when I start training again for the DL Half Marathon. I intend to be at my goal of 125 by November 18, my 40th birthday.

So there it is, my WW plan. I haven't read all 150 pages of this thread, but seeing some of the successes of those recently is inspiring.
