WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

Hi all-

Haven't been here in a while, thought I would jump back on the bandwagon.

In 2007, I lost 50lbs doing WW and exercise. Then in 2008, I pretty much maintained that, even though I still needed to lose another 50 lbs. In 2009, I started training for my first two half marathons, a local race and the Disney Half. After the half marathon, we went on a cruise for a week.

So last Monday when I weighed myself I was up 18 lbs from my lowest weight.

Today I started back on WW points, will implement exercise plan on Monday. My goal is to get from 180 where I am right now to 150 by mid May when I start training again for the DL Half Marathon. I intend to be at my goal of 125 by November 18, my 40th birthday.

So there it is, my WW plan. I haven't read all 150 pages of this thread, but seeing some of the successes of those recently is inspiring.

Sounds like you have a fantastic plan! WOW a half marathon.....when I get to the point that I can do one I will be REALLY excited. For me it is just one day at a time. Seems to be working so far.

Some of my obstacles over the weekend were:

hubby and I took my daughter (10) and her best friend to the movies. Well I love my movie popcorn douced in butter....YUMMY!!! So instead of getting my own my hubby got a small and I got a small cup and had a cup of that with no butter. Not quite as good, but still gave me something to snack on during the movie without feeling like I was losing out.

I also went out with one of my friends to dinner on Saturday night! We had mexican......well I love mexican too. I usually have a chimichanga it comes with rice and extra cheese and a little bit of lettuce and tomatos. Well I ordered it without the extra cheese without the rice and with extra lettuce and tomatos, AND I only ate half.

I really feel like I have finally conquered this whole "food demon" thing. I guess when people said "Don't live to eat; eat to Live" is really true. I don't find myself wondering during the day what is the next thing I'm going to eat. Thanks everyone for letting me come here and get this all out!!!

Thursday is not too far away!!! Have a great week everyone!

Congratulations to everyone on their losses. I haven't been on here in a longtime. I have went to WW since August of 2004 and it's been off and on with. I needed the combination of workout and WW to get me going. I have made a promise to myself to loose the weight and keep it off. My adventure started in October since October I have lost 14.0 pounds. I workout 6 days a week doing 30 minutes of cardio and than weights after that. But I am also taking a circut class on Thursday where we do cardio for 2 minutes than we do weights for 2 minutes we have 16 stations we use. I get up at 5 am every morning and go to the gym and that is how I start out my day. Last week I lost 7.2 pounds I have never lost that much weight in one week. This week I gained .2. I can't complain .2 is nothing into comparison of what I lost week. So with a good and determined attitude I will be ready for my first Disney Cruise on the new ship The Dream in February of 2011. I just thought I would share my story.

Hi there...welcome back! sounds like you are doing well with the plan and exercising. And planning a trip on the Disney Dream.....soooo jealous! :goodvibes That's a nice motivation right there!

Welcome back! Marathon training....wow! I am impressed. Sometimes I wish I could run; too many knee and foot issues for me to think about it. Never had any issues until I hit 39, but it seems to be piling up on me now. Is this what happens when you get old :rolleyes1:laughing:

good job on your eating out challenges. When I take my kids to the movies, I let them get their own popcorn, but they prefer it without butter. I bring my own 94% FF popcorn from home, some baby carrots and something sweet, like a Fiber One bar to eat along with water. Now I know some theaters dontt allow food from outside but I just throw it in my big pocketbook and don't think twice. I will not eat anything from their concession stand :sad2:

That's what I love so much about WW....you can eat whatever you want in moderation. I might choose to spend some points on some really good Mexican or some really good pizza, but not on movie theater junk :rolleyes1

I'm doing well this week....better at tracking than last week. Had one really bad day of eating to excess. Friday night when we ordered pizza for the kids. I hadn't planned on eating any of it, but then after walking past the leftovers in the kitchen a few times, I grabbed a piece. And it was pepperoni:headache: I had already used my daily points by that time along with some weekly too, but what are you gonna do? I got right back ontrack Saturday and have been doing well since. Hoping to see a loss this week.

Some other good news...I just came back from my Dr's appointment for my knee. She said she doesn't think it's a cartilage tear, but rather pes anserine tendonitis/bursitis. Said to keep up with PT for another month, and I can get back to the elliptical as long as it doesn't make the knee pain worse...keep your fingers crossed! I started over the weekend some easy walking on the treadmill, then the elliptical (very easy, no resistance) yesterday and today. Some very mild soreness, but no pain. Hopefully I am on the way to recovery.

Weigh in is tomorrow...I'll be back to post results!

I know what you mean about movie theatre stuff, but I just love the popcorn and it really wasn't more than a handful....and it fit into my day without going over my daily points, so I don't feel awful about it.

Sounds like you are having a great week, and congrats on the progress with your knee. Take it slowly a little at a time, sounds like you already are though!!! Keep up the good work.

Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow, my fingers are crossed for ya!!!:thumbsup2

oh I totally get the popcorn thing!! And you shouldn't feel bad about it! We all have those things we love and will value it enough to spend points on.

I was shopping tonight and stopped to look at wheat pasta....pasta is one of those things I don't really love so I don't mind not eating regular pasta anymore. I thought about getting the WW pasta, but decided against it since I really don't miss it.

Challenge for tonight....DD asked me to make monkey munch for her class for some party at school tomorrow. Monkey munch is all made, sitting on my table cooling. How long can I ignore it?? I need to avoid the kitchen until it can be put away, otherwise I will eat it. :headache:This is going to be a long night! Putting a piece of Extra gum in my mouth now...pray for me lol

OMG.....I feel your pain. Monkey Munch is the BEST!!!!! Walk away from the kitchen and enjoy your gum!!!!! You are a stronger woman than I :worship:

I am off to WDW, just wanted to tell you that I lost 2.6 lbs this week!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Woohoo!:woohoo:

I have WI later this morning. I did well all week with counting my points. I started doing the 30 day challenge on Wii Active last week as well. My scale at home shows a loss so we'll see what the WW scale says.

We are going WW at Work and it is really helpful seeing people on the plan during the day, encouraging each other, and passing along tips.

Keep up the good work everyone!

I survived the Monkey Munch!!!!! :woohoo:I did have a small bit...maybe an ounce of it, then I popped in the gum, chewed like there was no tomorrow and put the rest of it in baggies for DD to bring to school today. What a relief it was to have it all bagged up. then I sat down to watch Biggest Loser:goodvibes

Just back from WI and I lost 4lbs this week!:woohoo: So happy!!!

I have a lady at work that does WW as well and it is sooooo helpful to have her here. She has lost almost 70 pounds and looks fabulous. Good Luck at your weigh in.

My weigh in is tomorrow, so I'm hoping for another good number...

Lost 1.6. Was hoping for more but I am OK with this. I am aiming for more of a lifestyle and habit change. So far it is working. :)

Way to go, that is great! Hey, that is 1.6 pounds that you will never have to see again. I am with you I want to change my life not just the food that I put into my mouth!! Congrats on the loss. :cheer2:

1.6 is great! Average weight loss is 1 - 2 lbs per week so you're right on target. It is definitely a lifestyle change and not a "diet"....making long term changes towards a healthy lifestyle will keep the weight off for good. I can't stand programs that want you to eat their food to lose weight....then what? Once you lose the weight and go back to normal food, the weight goes right back on.

Well tonight is weigh in night for me. My scales at home look good this morning, but there is always a difference between morning and 5:30 when I weigh in. Wish me luck!!!!

Well I'm home from my weigh in. I guess things finally caught up with me because I only lost .2 tonight. I feel a little down about it, but I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing and next week will be better.

Every little bit counts. Keep doing what you're doing and stay on track.:thumbsup2

Don't be down....SC Minnie is right...every little bit counts. And you had huge losses the first two weeks, so you are doing great! Keep doing what you're doing and you'll get to your goal:cheer2:

No big deal. I gained .4 at my second weigh-in but I didn't let it get me down. Look at the overall picture instead of the numbers each week.

I went to my weigh-in today because I couldn't make it on Wednesday. I was down 3.2 pounds. I was a bit surprised as I slacked off on my tracking and exercising (I've been sick).

Need to get back on my Wii though!

Thanks guys for the welcome.:goodvibes Tomorrow is my weigh in day, I have been doing well with daily points, earning exercise points each day as well. Yesterday was a bad day for flex points, I hit them kinda hard. We had a lunch out for work (co-workers birthday) and she got to pick the restaurant. I decided since I had only used 3 flex points since Sat I would use a bunch for lunch. And I did (like 17pts to be exact:scared1:). But it was worth it. Lunch was delish and sometimes if I have a day when I eat more, the scale is kind to me the next day (it was!) Today I am back on track, may use a couple flex for a snack later, but I still have them to use.

The running, well even at 50lbs overweight still, I was determined to run the Disney Half Marathon before my 40th birthday (which is this Nov). I did not run all of it, I had to walk some (maybe 1.5 miles) and I am no speed demon, trust me. But I did it. I have set the goal to run the full marathon in 2013, so losing the rest of the weight is really critical to my success with that. I am always inspired by others stories, and hope that I can inspire someone else to make changes too.

Wish me luck at weigh in!!
