Would you buy at the GFV?

DW and I own at BLT. While we like the idea of GFV, we will hold off adding on there.

If GF is next, the only deluxe without DVC will be Poly. We would rather hold off and spend our money adding on at Poly DVC.

The GF is a bit too "proper" and elegant for us. We're more down-to-earth casual people. I would give it a stay there....but I doubt we'd buy points there. We own at BLT and are very happy to be on the monorail and walking distance to the MK. I wonder how much higher the nightly point use will be at the GFV.

I would be tempted, and very interested, but we'd probably hold out for the Poly. Would depend on price, incentives, and timing.

I wouldn't buy there, but I would stay there. It would be nice to have another DVC near MK to stay at. I would add-on at Poly though.

I would add on there but I am not sure DH would. ALthough I would much prefer a Poly DVC. We had the option of BLT or AKV when we bought and we went with AKV. BLT was not our thing at all. Now that I see the point charts we are very happy with our choice. I fear GFV will be much higher!

GF DVC is my dream. I would be one of the first in line to buy. I ABSOLUTLY LOVE GF!

In theory, I'd add on at GFV in a heartbeat...

BUT, I honestly don't think I "need" (w/the word "need" stretched as far as it will go!) more points anywhere!

But I will surely want to stay there...will haunt the R/T Board waiting to "pounce" on the first GFV owner who offers points for rent at the 11-month window! Or maybe call MS and find out if there's ever any five or six-day span during which I could reserve at 7 months...I really, really, really want to stay there...but at this stage just can't justify buying any more points at any resort!

We bought into BLT last spring. If we had to do it over again with GF being an option, I think we'd stick with BLT. In fact we talked about if they do build this, how many other DVC trips we'd take before we wanted to try to stay there and we were talking 5-7 trips.

I have no interest in buying there. I'm sure the cost will be high and the points even higher. It is a pretty resort, but would pick BLT over it in a heartbeat. Now if it were the poly, that would be another story...:goodvibes
I was actually more excited about the river country idea. I like a more laid back atmosphere, so GF just doesn't fit that.

All of the above for us!:thumbsup2

Although I love the GF..even had our honeymoon there, I am another DVCer holding out for the Poly. THAT is my dream DVC.

I bet that's what they're doing. They're waiting until after GFV to start on the Poly DVC villas. Prices will be higher and everyone seems to want to stay there. It seems like a win-win. (well except for us that can't afford $200/point)

Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to own at GFV, where is the info on the rumor???? The GF is our favorite resort and a must for a meal at least once or twice every visit, but we haven't splurged and stayed there yet...but maybe, just maybe it will be if this turns out to be true....I will be doing the

Will not be purchasing at GF. We own at BLT. Love the adult atmosphere/decor at BLT as well as walking distance to MK. Would stay at GF though.

We wouldn't buy GFV. Love our BCV & BLT. Would definitely consider Poly though!

I would not buy at Grand Floridian, or anywhere else direct from DVC.

The savings in the resale marketplace are simply too great to ignore.

I am not really interested at this point, but if given a choice between the two, I would probably pick GFVs. I am not a huge fan of contemporary decor, which is why SSR's decor is my favorite. I agree with another post that says it reminds them of grandma's house, so while I love traditional, I hope they don't go quite that far! JMO, though.

I've always said the only thing that would make me want to sell my BWV is GF. However, with the resale market dropping like a rock and the new prices so high, it just doesn't make sense for me. I'll take my chances at 7 months.

No, but I will be on the phone at 7 months to try and stay there :thumbsup2

Like a pp stated I would have been more excited if the River Country area DVC was a reality.

I think GFV would bring in a huge group of new members that are use to paying the price to stay at GF every year. They won't mind the high price points.
