Checking in after a couple of days...
Maria: I'm not sure about the WW points thing, but it definitely doesn't sound like you're eating too much. Maybe she's not used to seeing how active people have to eat? It's good to hear you're surviving the visit, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you this weekend. I know you can do it.

As for the watching of the mouthfuls, you know what I think???? STARING contest! My money's on you!
Cam: OMG! 2 pounds and a new milestone for you!!

You've been doing so well. I'm so proud of you I don't even have the words. But just keep doing what you're doing and focusing on all that you're doing well. You look amazing--radiant, really, and have accomplished so much. Just look at your sub-40 minute 5K! You are an inspiration to us, woman!
Kristi: Definitely ask your doctor to do some tests...this is your body and health we're talking about. He should appreciate that you're monitoring yourself. And I haven't had the Fiber One bars--I may try them--but I agree. Better than a chocolate bar??? I'm a chocolate freak, and just hearing the word makes me want to try one out, just as a point of comparison.
Susan: It sounds like the Atlanta 10K will be fun (except for maybe the July 4th heat?) and it's made all the better by your cause. Wonderful photo of your nephews--they have great smiles! Not sure about the four teens thing, though. Teenagers scare me--and apparently I scare them (so say that ones I teach).
Texa: We're now running neck-and-neck with the C25K, which might be the only time I get to say running neck-and-neck with anyone! I fell a little behind this week and so today was my first 25 minutes since last Saturday! Boo, this means I'm behind schedule. Yea, this means I can cheer you one. You CAN do it!
Minnie: Good luck on your new job, finishing your finals, and starting your new courses. Whew! I wore myself right out just talking about it.
Re: the stomach issue. Speaking to the choir, sisters! One of the things that I've had a hard time getting used to is my stomach. After I lost all that weight (the first time, as some of those pounds got lonely and have come back to visit me, again and again and again), I was surprised. I didn't get my old body back, I got a new one. And it's shaped funny! What's this pooch in the stomach area (and I don't have kids!) Why are those breasts down there? And what's
that?
Ah, my teen self didn't know how good she had it. Thank goodness for the right "foundation garments." I used to make fun of my mother for wearing them--now I'm on a quest for the perfect ones.
As for me, today is the first day I've felt up to a complete workout since last weekend. Most of this week I've come back from work, ate whatever held my interest, and then went to bed. DH is in the same boat. It's just that time of year. Sooo....I weighed myself and found I've lost a grand total of 5 pounds since I've started this journey with you. Feels like I'm working harder than that, but it is what it is. (How's that for a profound statement?)
The good news, as mentioned above, is that I'm running for 25 minutes without stopping! I can't say it's pleasant yet, but I am pleased that I'm doing it. And I feel lucky that our gym was open because we're right in the midst of blizzard season here--apparently it's a sign not to give up.
As for my eating today, harumph.
B: Oatmeal, banana, OJ
L: Yogurt with granola, apple with peanut butter and cheese, soda
D: I don't know--we'd planned to go out, but the weather might tell us to stay home and raid the fridge even though we're feeling a little stir crazy. If we do stay home, it'll be veggie stir fry, salad, pineapples.
S: Our monthly shipment of gourmet chocolate arrived, so guess what? (I allow myself one piece or ounce, depending on the month. It's truffles this month, so it look like one. DH eats two or three, depending. I hate his male-runner metabolism sometimes.
