Pre-cruisers to Disneyland- transportation questions, ideas:
Have you found it is better to fly into LAX, Long Beach or San Diego? Airfares seem to be about the same but direct flights are easier to find into SD or LAX. Anyway we do this, I'm assuming we'll need to rent a car to get to the port. . Anyone thought about renting a van and ride-sharing from Anaheim to the port? Possibly arranging transportation with a private/public transport company? ANYONE interested in sharing a van from DL area hotels to port on the morning of sailing? I'm happy to do the research and report back.

Maria, I asked Steve, (aka - dsnydaddy), a similar question a while back about transportation from the airport to Disneyland. There is bus service from the John Wayne airport to Disneyland for around $15.00/$17.00 per person. Also, my TA told me about a shuttle service, (a van that holds up to 9 people), from LAX to Disneyland for the same amount. But I can't find transportation from Disneyland to the San Diego Port. Unless you take a cab, rent a car, or arrange a shuttle service and pay a premium amount. Let me know what you find. We would be interested in sharing the cost for the two of us from Disneyland to the port.

The way to get Disney to seat us together is to give them our confirmation/reservation numbers and specify if we want 8,10 tops and any other specifics. We have found that it is easier to do it early on and all of the cruise lines have been very accommodating. Let me know if you need any help and thanks again! Maria

Good information. We'll have to be sure to pass the information on to DCL in plenty of time for them to accommodate us.

We just booked the Disney Magic for this Halloween. That means that the Panama cruise will be our first gold cruise also.

Thanks, going thru' the pages of this thread. We hadn't planned on going on this cruise but had such a great time with so many sea days on EBTA that we couldn't resist, altho' we do have to check with work in the morning that we can have the time off, including a day or 2 in San Diego prior and then a few days in Orlando post cruise.

I think it's 10 or 20 for platinum. I know in April when I was talking to this one gal at Castaway Cay about the EBPC she said it was her favorite cruise long story short she said she was a platinum member but "a real one. I go on the 7 day plus cruises. Or the 14 day ones. You're a fake platinum if you go on 4 day ones." I started laughing.

(And in all fairness I go on 7 day plus cruises because I feel like I can't relax on 3-4 day ones and if I'm flying in...)

After you've completed your fifth cruise, you are then gold status. After you've completed ten cruises, then you're platinum. It's not on the fifth or tenth, it's after they are completed. Hope that helps!

It's just as gramfrog stated, after your first cruise, starting with your 2nd cruise you are silver. After your 5th cruise, your 6th one you are gold. And, after your 10th cruise, your 11th one you are platinum.
