We are super excited and are coming on board too! This is our first time on a cruise much less one on DCL...I am considering joining FE but am wondering first if we are too late (family of 4...myself, DH, and twin DD (5 yrs old)? And secondly...how many ppl/families are on board for it...we are flying in so limited on room in our luggage

Welcome, iluvobi family!!!! I'm sure Lauren will let you know about the FE group. She's in charge of that, and the list hasn't closed yet.

While it has only been 3 months this time since I posted on these boards. The cruise is only just over a month away and I am more then ready. We had to drop out of the FE exchange (no room in the bags) but we will be taking part in the other planed activities. Michelle has done most of the work getting all our reservations made, renting the car, booking our hotels, and booking all of our excrusions. She is a great planner and does a great job taking care of all the details, and she is much more computer savey then I am. Now about the only thing we have left to do is try to get everything we want to take in 2 suit cases that weigh less then 50 lbs. Lucky for us we will be flying SouthWest, no charge for 2 bags. That will be hard we are nortorious over packers. We will be seeing you all soon.

I hear you! In May when we went on the EastBound TransAtlantic 14 day cruise on the Magic, I had a huge suitcase, a smaller suitcase for FEs and hand-outs, Joe had a big suitcase, and then we had ANOTHER just for the two formal dresses and one cocktail dress, his tuxedo, and three pair of dress shoes between us! Then the Brookstone Winecase for the case of wine! This trip we're going back to the way we travel for a week abroad: each a rollerboard and a backpack. No checked luggage (except that Brookstone Winecase). You might consider giving up the formals for a nice dressy pair of black pants with a pretty top for the two dress-up nights. Several of us will be doing this; the Disney Cruise Line provides the opportunity to dress up if one wishes these two times, but only about 1/4 of the passengers do. I understand that the Alaskan cruises are more laid-back than others, clothing wise.

Interested in having your evening dining rotation with other DIS and Facebook members in the same general area of the restaurant? This works for both Main and Late dining, and is a great way to say "hi" to one another each evening!
DCL has agreed to seat us at tables each night in the same general area on each of the normal rotations.
We will need your information by Sunday, August 18, and the event organizer (me) will need the Guest Names, DCL Reservation number, and First Seating/ Second Seating Dining notation that matches your reservation to compile when submitting to DCL. It is a request but not a guarantee we will be seated near each other. I need to get that required info to DCL on Monday morning, August 19, so any requests after that time cannot be accommodated.
