WL transportation questions

We'll be staying at the WL at the end of July for the first time and I need a little advice on the transportation.
Specifically, I'm interested in a couple of different options for getting to the MK. I know that the boat runs from FW to the WL and then to the MK. Is this the only way to get to/from the MK? Is there a bus from the WL that goes to the TTC? I'm worried about leaving the MK after Spectro or FIS fireworks and trying to get on the boat back to the Lodge (along with 5,000 other people). Is it really that crowded--especially in July?
One other question--is there a boat that makes a "MK resort loop" (ie--GF to Poly to CR to WL, etc, etc) ?

Yes

No. There is a small boat that does the MK GF Poly. And a bigger boat that does the MK FW WL.

I was wondering about this too.

I've never stayed at WL but plan to for our next trip. The Unofficial Guide (2003) calls the WL transportation the "most convoluted", and I cannot figure out why.

Isn't it the case that you take the boat to MK and the bus to the other parks? Is it more "convoluted" than that?

Boy, I've never been called an expert before. Tyler, you better watch out.

Actually, there are busses from WL to Epcot, AKL, and Disney MGM.

There is a small boat that makes the WL-CR-FW route.

I just returned from WDW two weeks ago. We stayed at the WL and there is a bus that will take you to the TTC and then you can hop on the monorail over to the MK. We did that several times. The TTC also has a monorail that goes to the three monorail resorts.

The bus system at the WL was very good and all of the drivers are knowledgeable and helpful.
