Tiger Lily 03 said:Thanks for the support for DH. He's in a medical trial and it seems that he's got the meds not placebo and the meds ARE helping. It's not life-threatening at least this part of his life...we've lived that part already. He had his colon removed back in '02 and is doing well. This is really the first time he's had any sort of additonal problems with the whole thing. Docs had him go for bone scan to check if the hip replacement ('04) was a direct result of the long-term steriod treatment and we will know if he needs additional supplements in a couple of weeks. He's also doing well since the bypass ('03) and has a new lease on life. '02, '03, '04 were rough times, all's much better now with my bionic man. Stress releasing was what got me started in this business of 5ks, halfs and fulls...works wonders for me too. (mostly)

for you and DH. I hope the meds really help, it sounds like he has had way more than his share of medical issues already.Bill & Lynda-- I'm late in congratulating you on the new little one on the way
You must be so excited.I can't wait to hear the DL reports and watch the results "near real time" thanks to our very own WISH sports announcer, Escape!
I'm pretty sure the 3 mile walk Monday night was a bad idea. The Y pool is re-opened so I'm going to make my next workout a water one.
16 yos are just so much fun. Last week the major priority of the entire household was to get DDs home-made iron-on transfer shirt made. And inthe end I didn't approve of it one bit anyway
I don't recall my parents bending over backwards for every whim I came up with! I guess I'm a wuss. This week it's home-made granola. Last night I did too much bending because I re-made DD's home-made granola. I had to remake it because I'm an idiot
She bought all the ingredients herself (~$20) but I told her to use the olive oil I had on hand. Well between the fact that it was olive oil and fairly old, the flavor was less than spectacular. She got the recipe from a lady she works with at the ortho-office. I begged her to not tell the lady I said to use olive oil. She'll think I'm an idiot (.... well). So I went out and bought peanut oil and remade it but it required lots of bending to get it in and out of the oven for mixing and that wasn't a good thing. Plus, now we have about 20 cups of granola in our house.I guess shot or no shot, I still have to be super careful.
Sunny
for your work issues.
