Stephanie - Awesome post for an awesome race! Great Job! I loved the fact that you were applauded by the trainer at your community center as well!
Mike - I had a similar experience last Spring when I hit a button on my watch thinking it was the Lap/Split button and looking down and seeing 18:32. I stopped and thought "what the"...until I realized I hit the button to go back to time mode and it was in military time (6:32pm). Kind of a REAL buzzkill there for a sec. As for hydration belts, I bought a Nathan Trek that works great...if you plan on just walking. I wore it for the WDW 1/2 and when we started to run a bit, the bottle had a tendancy to pop out. Maybe I'll just keep it for when I go hiking and find something else.
Cecelia - Thats great you went out torun with friends to cheer them on! Along the route for our local race, people have parites in their front yards to cheer on the racers...it's sooo fun to see yard after yard with live bands, tents, people with hoses misting you down....it's a great experience!
Bill - Hope the paint job went well...after I got finished with mine, I decided that the trim needed changing, so I'm going out today to look and see what I like.
Carrie Here's to hoping some warmer weather heads your way...here in eastern Iowa it's forecasted to get up to the mid to upper 40's later this week. If so, it may be a very nice 5K for me next Saturday!
Sunny - I'm glad to hear the Neurontin is working! Great job on the hill work and getting outside even though the conditions are very less than favorable (so far away from favorable that you need a new map to find favorable).
TexAng - I found a small camer bad that had a belt loop sewn on the back at a local dollar store. It is made by Targus and they make bigger camera bags as well. The loop was big enough that I was able to slide it on to my fanny pack and the bag was just the right size for my Sony W-50 digital camera. Then I can slide it off when I don't want to take a camera with.
Martha - That walking tour sounds like fun, and very delicious! Good to hear you had a great time!
Angie - Glad to hear your knee pain is gone (hopefully for good).
Krista - Hopefully your IT band stays pain free from here on out. Thumbs up for keeping at it where most people would just throw in the towel and quit!
Cam - Good job with the XT..100 crunches is still 100 crunches whether its right in a row or not, its still a GREAT job!

I picked up a book at the library last week (will get to read it better next couple of days as I've just had time to skim it until today) called "Core Performance Essentials". It focuses on working on your core and it seems pretty decent.
Jen - Hopefully things get sorted out for you with your training. Good to hear your foot is better, here's to more pain free sessions!
Heather - Great Pics! Loved the fact that you wore your WDW Marathon shirt for your 5K. I think I'll wear my WDW 1/2 for mine next week!
Steve - Good to hear your first post op visit went well. Hopefully the doc was able to get most of that "mess" taken care off.
Jim - Your post about running while DD was at gymnastics is exactly the reason why I want a Garmin. I work an hour away in Iowa City, Iowa and there are a lot of walkways from, around, and near the hospita. When it gets warmer, I could just slap on my Garmin and go running and keeptrak of my time/pace/disctance with my Garmin on my was to my car (yes I have to park about 1.5 miles way and bus it in to work) while taking the scenic route. I will still use my TM from time to time, but I much prefer to be outside.
Bekah - CONGRATULATIONS! I'll bet you house is brimming full of excitement!
Dave - Awesome Pic! Good times...good times! Can't wait to go back (no until 2009, but planning on going

then).
Well, today is going to be a XT day, just have some things around the house I want to get to first, then I plan on 25min stationary cycle, then 2 sets of light circuit work on our home gym.
Happy Training All!
