Thanks everyone for all your advice on the race. I am actually torn between the advice everyone gave. Due to my deeply competitive nature
I am actually a little paranoid of doing exactly what Jackie said and discussed this issue with DH. I don't want to push myself too much too soon and re-injure. However her pace is a lot slower than my slow pace so I was thinking of trying to train for the best I can do without reinjure. Thanks for the encouragement Leana things are looking better now. I know that when DH did RFTT with our friend who ran a lot slower pace than DH runs, she told me over and over that she only finished, and finished as well as she did because he was pushing her to it. Not purposely -- you know what I mean. Well I will think about a little more and see how I feel easing back into training the next couple of weeks.
I am happy to report absolutely no pain today even after running last night.
Also on the subject of the CDC, it just so happens that we were discussing visiting my cousin in Missouri then popping up to Chicago at the end of the summer.
I just have a question, is it not HOT in August to be running a 1/2 Marathon. You have to remember I am from FL if you run outside in August you die
Those that did it last year please tell me what it was like.
Gotta go back to work
