Wk of Apr 29--WISH Walking/Running Club

Here's a more neutral observer's review of today's James Joyce 10K, using Martha's report as a base:

What a race report I have!! Total time, 63:10 for 6.2 miles! Splits =

9.51 (OK, very scarey here, I CANNOT sustain this for an entire race; have to slow down),
10:14 (well, better, but still too fast),
10:37 (better but now too slow),
10:23 (made up time from mile 3),
10:15 (hm, too fast for the Minnie),
10:10 (oh dear, could I really be running this fast?) and bring it in the last 0.2 miles.

The only thing I can say is, Didn't I have 11 seconds in me to bring it in under 63 minutes!?!?!!!!! Now this is a PR for me, but I'm complaining that I couldn't bring it in under 63 minutes! LOL!!!!!

Okay, I guess I don't know how to copy and paste and have it show who the original author was. The above came from the RedDragon.

Mile 1 was the usual "starting a bit quick" plus it was mostly a long and gradual down hill. We did go through it in 9:51, but the effort was easy, no strain at all.

Mile 2 was a bit quicker than plan, but again I felt Martha was running easy. I'm not sure she felt the same way so . . .

In Mile 3 I intentionally eased off a bit. I know Martha was worried about our splits, but I didn't think she was exerting more effort than appropriate. Still, at mile 3 better to be safe, so we took or foot off the gas.

Mile 4 was the toughest mile on the course, some pretty long and steep hills. Our split here was encouraging, good work in a tough stretch.

In Mile 5 I pushed the pace a bit, hoping to bring us in sub-64. It as a fairly flat stretch, so I wanted to make sure we built some cushion to beat that number.

Mile 6 came back up the long, gradual hill of the first mile, and we drove up it pretty nicely. A DOPE on the side yelled we had only 1.2 miles to go when the exact number was about 0.8. We both yelled "Wrong" at him, and I cursed him sort of under my breath, so only Martha could hear me.

When we hit the last flat and saw the finish I thought we might get in under 63 minutes, but it was not to be.

Overall it was a lot of fun, a nice course, a beautiful cool and cloudy day, and a well run race. I had a lot of fun, and since I DNF'd it last year with a calf injury, and then broke down in the heat and humidity in Orlando in January, this was the first race I've really "run" since the Goofy in 2006. It was a positive enough experience to try it again.

And, on the course they have ladies and gentlemen in period dress reading passages from Joyce all over the course. Our favorites were 2 tiny ladies, identical twins at mile 1.5 and 5.7, and a gentleman reading in Gaelic at mile 4.5.

Makes me wish I was running Minnie with the gang next weekend. On second thought, being the sole male in a crowd of females, you can strike that statement. I'll stay here and read about it instead.

Craig

Great day! I finally started feeling better after the red wine I had last night. :sad2:
So I talked DH into going out with me to the Silver Comet Trail since the kids were at Nana's. It was a bit of a drive, but so worth it. I'm so bummed we don't live closer to it! It was flat in the woods on a very wide paved path and almost all in shade! Only problem was I thought for sure I was gonna get run over by a bike! :scared:

My session in my program today (I'm in an easy recovery week!) was to run 3, walk 2 for 40 minutes. I went 3.29 miles and my average pace was 12:10. I also did my fastest mile today at 11:41. I can't wait until I get further in the program and see how my pace is when I really start tapering down on the walking portions.

I ran a little with DH, too and was able to keep up with him for the most part until I switched to walking. :thumbsup2

Dave - I'm gonna read that kids' running article, too. My daughters' school has the Girls on the Run program.

Craig - Glad you had a great race! Congrats! :woohoo:

Good luck to everyone on their upcoming races and the MINNIE! :cheer2:

Martha, Craig & Christa - you guys are all so amazing!

I am procrastinating (yet again) right now.
It took me until 4:30 today to get my behind out the door to do my 8 miler.
I am now on a water stop at my parents 'old house' at 3.2 miles.
(side note: anyone want to buy a really nice house in Southern NH?)
So, what do I do?
I sit down at their computer! :rotfl:

I actually came on here now to get further inspiration for you guys. Ever since that Half from Heck on 4/1, I have no motivation. I have the Minnie is less than a week for goodness sake! I also think I have it in the back of my head that I can finish the Minnie, no problem. The problem is though, that I will be kicking myself when my time is alot slower than what I know I am capable of.

In all seriousness, I think you guys are the only reason I am really out here at all today. I have to be accountable to you guys!

Oh, & a funny for you guys! I am wearing my long sleeve WISH shirt. Chad & Zack were out doing errands and found me somewhere between mile 1 & 2. Zack asked Chad if my shirt "turned on!!!!" :lmao:

Ok, I am heading back out. I'll report back later...

Finally a little time where certain people are asleep. Everyone is doing well and Timmy is in a nice routine. Almost too nice at night when we wouldn't mind him sleeping a little longer if he wanted to.:rotfl:

Training wise: Thursday was supposed to be a 5 mile run but was changed to a 10 mile bike when I turned my ankle jump roping. I was trying to show Billy how to do it and found our backyard isn't quite level. :rolleyes1 I guess that will be another project sometime.

Yesterday was a 7 mile LR and it felt pretty good. Everything should be ready for Minnie next week. Although if it isn't, it probably is a little late now.;)

Mel - I hope it isn't odd miles since Minnie is 9. It must be the alternating weeks so you are due for a good run next week. Although holding up Goofy all day probably isn't how I would have spent the day. ;) Billy was indoctrinated at 5 weeks and it looks like Timmy will get 4 and 5 weeks for indoctrination periods.

TriMom - Hope you are feeling better now. Great job on the bike ride and the wildlife that was seen.

bekkiz - Great job on the walk. I tend to believe the Garmin when it comes down to distances. Mine has been pretty accurate over the past couple of years when it comes to distances.

Shan - I hope you can figure out where the headaches are coming from. Great job on getting out with the training today.

Kelley - Good luck on your half marathon next week. You will do fine during it and have no problems.

Christy - Great job on the run even with the last miles. You will do great at Minnie.

Stephanie - Glad to hear is was a little better at work yesterday. With all the bad runs, you will do great at Minnie.

Sandy - You need 16 minute miles to avoid the sweepers. If you are starting now, you should be able to increase the pace later in the year and not have any problems. This is the time to get your "base" ready.

Vic - Sorry about Junior today. Although it was nice Jeff could get the win if not to just annoy some of the viewers.

Steve - Putting work above us, I can't believe it. You just need to tell them to reassign your priorities. ;)

Lily - Great job with the training today.

Martha - Great job on the race and getting a PR. Also great job on not being like Luke and dropping Yoda during the race.

Christa - Great job on the run. That is a great time. Tell the dog to hold it because you need those extra seconds.

Craig - Great job on having a good run and being "Yoda". You could have done Minnie and kept Matt and I company during the run. Although you would probably have passed me up after the first mile.

Kristi - That is a nice water stop, computers and all. :lmao: You will do great during Minnie next week.

Someone seems to be stirring now so I will try to convince him that feeding time is still 45 minutes away. I don't think I am going to be too successful though. :rolleyes1

Bill

Hi Everyone,

I posted my race report on the other thread, but to give you the low down I ran 10K in 58:19 (9:15 pace). :cool1: :cool1: I'm very excited about that.

TriMom: Congrats on finishing your w/o. Not finishing the last mile after completing 17 might have been a bit disappointing to you later.

Mel: I agree with you about the mind ruling the workout. Sometimes I find if I can distract myself for a little while I'll realize I don't feel as bad as I thought I did.

Bekkiz: Sorry about the hard walk. Some days are just like that - who knows why? Makes you appreciate the good ones more.

Shan: Sorry the headaches have returned. Do you think it's time to have them checked out?

Kelley: Yikes! :scared1: Those sure are some big hills. I'm sure you've done the training, so you won't have to worry about the pace. Good luck!

Sandy: Welcome. :welcome:

Martha: Congrats on your PR. Good run on a tough course. You have to figure that taking the time to hear the poetry readings may have added a few seconds to your time. You'll have that 11 seconds next time!!

Craig: Nice pacing job.

Christa: Good job on that super fast run. Just imagine what you'll do when you leave the dog at home.

Vic: Congrats on your race. Sorry your toe hurts. Hope the yard work went well.

Matt: Congratulations on your ride. Good going!!

Laurie: Great job. You really should feel proud of your accomplisment. :thumbsup2

Jam217: Congrats on your 1/2 marathon. It's tough not to give in to the peer pressure and run faster than you want to.

Lily: Nice workout.

Kristi: Good for you for getting back out there after your water stop. (You did, right?)

Have a great night everyone.

Cindy

I got in my 5 mile LR today. I am really looking forward to the Minnie next weekend. Great job to all who raced this weekend!

I finished my dreaded 8 miler. I was pretty tired, so after mile 5 I did no more running intervals. I finished in 1:50:36, plenty of time for the minnie sweepers, but I know if I had kept up with proper training, I could do much better next week. I was happy that I did all 8 miles since I wanted to quit early pretty badly.

I don't know what I am going to do when my parents finally do sell the other house. It is my water / potty stop on 6 miles or more! (they are just over 3 miles away) The "new" house won't be much of a water / potty stop since it is .1 miles away! ;) Although I did stop there when I was finished for a sub sandwich. :thumbsup2 I ate 2 bites and didn't want anything. Anything but a warm shower. I did the 8 miler in 50 rainy degrees!

Thanks for the advice, encouragement and welcomes - I do real well for 2 weeks, then I have a tendacy to fade out and quit - but I know that now dh has paid for the Jan '08 I have a very powerful incentive!!

I found several of the websites posted helpful (esp the googlemaps/ gps route tracker/miles..)

currently I'm trying to update my ipod - I got it for Christmas and havent added all my cd's and it was getting annoying hearing Christmas songs while running in 80 degree weather!!

Hi everyone :goodvibes

Wow I feel like I'm back in the grove. I walked all over Denmark which really got my motivation going.

I just returned from a nice long fast walk grooving to the music. Wishes came on just as I was finishing up the end and I feel soooo motivated

1st time I've felt like this in a long, long time...... :goodvibes

Since I don't have time to catch up.....

:wizard: to those that need it!
:cheer2: to those that raced or made it out the door and on the road!
:grouphug: to all of you wonderful people that inspire me every day :flower3:

Good Evening everyone!

I posted my race report on the other thread, but I will also give the details here. Finished my first ever half marathon in 2:06!! I am really excited, and of course, now I cannot wait until my next race. Next race for me will be the Spring Lake 5 miler on May 26th.

Now to catch up with everyone:

Mel--sorry about your stonker run.....good news is that your learned something from your run!

Lily--Love the cheer!!

TriMom--sorry to hear you aren't feeling well...but glad to hear you had a great bike ride today!!!

Kristi--love the story!

bekki--a river otter-wow! I would probably be running the other way, I am a big chicken with any animals!! :rotfl:

Shan--Hope everything is OK with the high BP and headaches....please take care of yourself.

Kelley--You are going to great in your Half! I found out today that it is good to be nervous! Don't worry about those hills...you can do it!!

Sandy--I used the Hal Higdon plan for my half marathon that I did today, and I really liked it. Most of all, I felt very well prepared. I started out in January, not running at all and ran the half today! Find the plan that works for you and just go with it!!

Vic--Hope the foot is feeling better! What a better way to relax after a race than by watching NASCAR!!! Dale Jr. did pretty well despite not having a great car! Thought the race was a bit boring, no big wrecks which make Talladega great!!

Steve--Good Luck with that propsal!

Martha and Craig-Great job on your race this weekend!!

Christa--WOW! You are getting quite speedy!! I will be thinking of you this week, hope your tests go well.

Bill--Hope the ankle is feeling better!

Cindy--Great job on your race!!

Heather--WTG for getting in your 5 miler today!

Kristi--good for you for finishing your 8 miler. You are going to do fine next week, especially with all the other WISH team there to cheer you on!!

To all those doing the Minnie next weekend---I will be cheering you on from home!! I so wish I could be there with you all, but I will have to wait until next year!!

I hope everyone has an awesome week!

I yelled to Cam and Rhonda to smile as they were making their way through MGM (I was trying to snap a picture). If I would have know what happened earlier to Cam, and would have realized just how miserable it was for the marathoners that day I would have kept my big mouth shut. Rookie mistakes. :rolleyes1
Vic -- I have to tell you -- the fact that we were seeing WISHers along the course and they were cheering for us literally sustained me to the finish. I really appreciate that you did that!

I just ran 3.2 miles in 25:20 Min...this is an ave 7:55 MPM!:cool1:
You ROCK, girl! :cool1: I bet you felt like you were flying! Congratulations, sweetie!

Awesome job! :thumbsup2 That is one very fast mile!!!

I posted my race report on the other thread, but to give you the low down I ran 10K in 58:19 (9:15 pace). :cool1: :cool1: I'm very excited about that.
Congratulations, Cindy!

I just returned from a nice long fast walk grooving to the music. Wishes came on just as I was finishing up the end and I feel soooo motivated

1st time I've felt like this in a long, long time...... :goodvibes
I am so glad you had such a great session! I bet you felt like going further when you heard "WISHes" right? :lovestruc

Good Evening everyone!

I posted my race report on the other thread, but I will also give the details here. Finished my first ever half marathon in 2:06!! I am really excited, and of course, now I cannot wait until my next race. Next race for me will be the Spring Lake 5 miler on May 26th.

What an outstanding first 1/2 marathon time! :woohoo: But where do you go from there? ;)
I am so sorry we are going to miss you and Karen and her family at the Spring Lake 5. We are registered but our dear friends' daughter is being Bat Mitzvahed that day and service start at 9 just outside Princeton. So sad to miss the race and an opportunity to meet up with some WISHers. :sad1:

Martha and Craig -- Great job! Martha -- I am so outrageously impressed with how far you have come after your hip problems. Congratulations! And Craig, I am sooo happy for you that you had such a great race experience. I know you were feeling a bit discouraged, but you are definitely back in the game, BIG TIME!!

Well, I got in a long walk this afternoon for the first time in many weeks. I seem to have lost a lot of ground from what I was able to do pre-bronchitis and my lungs definitely gave me "what-for" today, but I was able to do 6.15 miles at Minnie pace. I am confident that the race atmosphere and being with WISHers will help me do even better pace next Sunday.

Hello Everyone

Just quick post have to finish studying for the first of 3 finals this week.

But good news, the funk has finally worn off. Now it probably helped that I went for LR at 7pm when the blazing sun was finally going down and I used by gels, which I have not done in a while.

Anyway did 9 miles, total time 84 minutes but the best part is I did the last 2.5 at 8:15 pace. MINNIE HERE I COME!!!

Gotta study

angie

It is only MONDAY peeps! Why are we on page 3 already??? ;)

Okay--well I don't have time this morning for anything elaborate so a big:

:cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:  for everyone and if anyone is having a tough time in their personal, work, or training life:  .

I will do my personals later! But I am thinking of all of you!

For me: Today's workout has been upped to 25 minutes....10 warm up/cool down....5 at 3mph and 15 at race pace or above. :woohoo: (roughly...I could be off by a minute or 2 as I didn't track when the speed hit 16:00)

Total: 1.73 miles in 30.25

Even tried 1 minute of a light jog at 4.6.....Lordy Lordy Lordy!:scared1:

Guys--LOOK AWAY NOW--DO NOT READ (and don't say I didn't warn ya!!!)
(AND BECAUSE MEN DON'T LISTEN....I typed in invisible ink:rotfl: )

Let's just say my whole body could handle it...but the ladies felt like gallon milk jugs (sorry guys for the visual!!! But you were warned!!) :scared1: I had one hand holding them in place. The ladies do not care for any sort of bounce at this time. Will have to figure that one out...

Okay guys--it is safe:

...otherwise--so good to get the legs running again!!! :woohoo:

Now if I could just fix that broken scale...the number is way to high...so it must be broken! :rotfl2:

GOOD LUCK TO OUR ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo this week!

thanks Tiger Lily - I've been reading all the sites listed, and just wondered if I should concentrate now on increasing distance, or stick with increasing time? It felt good only 'walking" twice in the 1.5 jog - but I like the term "wog" I think that apatly describes what I'm doing!!

I've also found the google maps gps site so I went and did a route or two, and found one that is a tad over 2 miles... so I think I'll add that next week! Right now I cannot imagine running/wogging for 3 hours!! 8 miles seems like a far distance - can you stop midway at the Dairy Queen??? ;)

My coaches theory is that you focus on increasing distance or total time (no more than 10% per week) but not pace...

Pace will fall in naturally and once you have a good base...then you will pick up the pace.

Bingham's programs have all that worked in b/c as you progress through training--your Xtraining and speed work that is incorporated as you go along...will naturally pick up your pace for your regular workouts.

LONG days are NEVER a test of speed--those you go at a comfortable pace...working on stride rate a bit....as you progress through training you can have fun by working in some Fartleks (I hope I spelled that right) or goofy things like skipping or whatever.

ETA: For now though--you just concentrate on getting fit...that means working up to a basic workout routine that will exercise your heart and strengthen your muscles and gets your systems working.....anyone just beginning to exercise and looking to prepare to train for an event...I believe your max mileage per workout (When you get that high)--is to get to 3 or 4 miles and then no more. Your training program specific to a race will get you to the higher miles. For now get to those distances--then you can modify workouts in order to improve your pace.

For all intents and purposes--what you can get to for your "best" times for these in the off season....is an inkling of what you can accomplish for a half or full marathon. Of course as your distance increases, your pace will naturally slow (even the elites can't do 4 minute miles for 26 miles!) But not really by much. The key is that longer races are about ENDURANCE while races of 10k or shorter are more about SPEED. (my interpretation anyway).

Good morning TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Monday! I'm carbo loading for the Pig by eating a doughnut right now. Anyone want to join me? :) Yesterday was a rest day, but again rest days aren't REALLY rest days. Stephen worked all day yesterday, so I hitched a ride to my sister's house (Shari--I have 4 sisters) with my parents and my younger sister who still lives at home. While we were there, we cleaned, Shari was in the hospital for a week and still can't do any cleaning, so you can imagine what the house looked like. :) On Saturday, Stephen, Hines, and I ran a 5K, Stephen posted on the race thread, so I won't go into the details. We finished in 33:something, I think Stephen said 33:15, it was a fun 5K--very small, less 200 runners and walkers. That's one of the smallest events I've ever run in, it was nice, no one was super serious and the race directors were so thankful of everyone who was there. This was the first race Stephen and I have ever run together and let me tell you, he drove me CRAZY (sorry, honey, love you! ): " are you okay?" "do you need to slow down?" "you better slow down, you're going to hurt yourself" "do you need to walk?" (we were doing 5/1 intervals) "is this pace too fast for you?" over and over for the entire 3.1 miles! :sad2: This is why we don't run together!! pirate: One good thing we did figure out while running together, I think I need a new Garmin, during one of his "you better slow down's", I said "what? I'm running in the 11:00's" "uh, you're in 9:00's". My Garmin was registering an 11 minute mile and Stephen's was registering a 9 and since his Garmin is newer, I think his is right! Tonight I have 3 miles, by myself thank you very much, I love the taper! Oh, I forgot I have to brag on my parents a little bit, my Mom and Dad did the 5K too, my Mom came in 1st place in her age division and my Dad came in 2nd place in his age division. :cheer2:

Lisa--:lmao: :lmao: You're scaring me with your post baby stories!! You're making great progress.

Mel--Have you lost weight since January? You look really thin in that picture. By the way, are you trying to tell us that you're going Goofy?? :)

Kelley--Good luck on Saturday!! You are going to do great on your half! Don't think about those hills!!!

Laurie--Congrats on your half marathon!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: That's a fabulous time!!!! Take a couple days off and enjoy them!

Dave--4:00 am??? That is early!! I could have gone back to bed though.

Martha--Congrats on you 10K!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I'm glad that you had such a good time. You are so ready for the Minnie. I wish I was running it with everyone this year!

Nancy and Jeanne--How did you half go?

Angie--8:00 min miles!!!!! Do you have wings on your feet??? Good luck on your finals this week!

Kristi--Great job on finishing your 8 miler. Don't worry about your time on Sunday, just have fun.

Christa--Your JRT ran a 25:00 5K??? How much energy does that dog have????

Craig--I love how supportive of Martha you are!

Cam--You are going to be fine on Sunday! Take lots of pictures!

I know I missed people and I'm sorry, but I need to get started on my work. (stupid job!) I can't wait to see what this week's thread will bring, with so many of us in taper mode! :yay: :yay:

Good morning everyone! Two more sleeps till I leave for Disney...!!!

I haven't had a chance to post about my run this weekend. It was supposed to be an 8 miler as part of my 15K training plan for the Minnie next weekend. I found a route that was 14K (8.74 mi) that I opted to try. Unfortunately there were a ton of detours due to construction so my run was extended a bit... The run went really well though - my legs felt strong and I felt like I could have kept going on and on. Anyhow, I ran 9 miles in 1:45:08 for an 11:41/mi pace. I still wasn't back at the start of my loop after running 9 mi so I walked one more to finish. One thing I realized is my feet prefer running over walking. I was trying to walk at a better than Minnie pace and the underside of my right foot started to hurt. Guess I'd better watch that speed walking...

Krista - I carbo loaded this morning by eating a white chocolate and mixed berry scone...yummy!
Lisa - Your post cracked me up!
Angie - Good luck studying and finishing up those exams! The feeling after you walk out of your last final is unbelievable. See you this weekend at the Minnie!
Cam - That is great that you were able to get out for a walk this weekend. I'm sure the race atmosphere and the adrenalin will keep you going, and that your body will thank you for not pushing it when you were sick and letting it rest instead.
Laurie - Congrats on your first half marathon! What a terrific time. I'll have to jump over to the race report board to read all about it.

OK, gotta get back to work. Later guys!

Mel - Stonker or not.... you at least got out there for that 5 miler, much mor than I have been doing lately. Congrats!! Also... sorry about that toenail thing. That is one of the biggest reasons I was afraid to start training for a marathon. I was so afraid of losing my toenails.,... stupid I know.

Christa - I do so hope that everything turns out alright and that your tests come back with a good outcome.

To everyone running the Minnie next week - Best of luck to all of you... I so wish I could make it down there .... but know that I will definately be cheering you on from home.

Ok, are you all ready to smack me?! I have hardly run at all since getting back from the full in January. At first I was just too doggone tired. Then my DH said he wanted to start training to run it with me next year so I started running the Couch to 5k with him, but his training was so inconsistent. It was like I was pulling teeth just to ask him wether or not he planned to run on our scheduled run days. My training has REALLY suffered. So I finally told him that if he wants to start training to run, that I will run with him, however I am NOT giving up my runs to accomodate his training. I will go back to doing my runs in the mornings (like I did all last year) and if he chooses to run in the evenings I will run with him. So... this morning I went out and ran week 4 of the Couch to 5k, which was run 3 min - walk 90 sec - run 5 min - walk 90 sec. I did that twice for a total of 20 minutes. I figure I will use this plan to gradually build back up, and then I will start my training again for next year!!

Dana

Hi Wishers--- Jeanne and I completed our half marathon and we were not dead last. We actually passed people during the race, in fact we ended up passing the most people the last 2 miles. We finished in 3:14 and some odd seconds, but the chip times aren't posted yet so don't know our official time as it took us several minutes to get to the start line. It was a beautiful day to do a race and it was even more special doing it with Jeanne since we were both marathon virgins. We walked together so well, you would have thought we trained together. Thanks to Cam for the WISH shirts, we got alot of comments about them. People could see us coming for miles. Our husbands, her daughter and my son were there to cheer us on. Now to decide if I can do the Mickey in Jan or just stay with the Donald which I know I can do.

Laurie--- What a great time you had for your first half. :cheer2:

Martha--- Congratulation on your 10K. :cheer2:

Will read what all I missed later, but I'm sure everyone has been doing great with their training. Sorry if I missed sending congratulations to any one else that raced this weekend.

Nancy

Yo all who have cheered teh "wrong" thing at runners: I would rather have everyone cheering teh wrong thing, than not have people cheering. :goodvibes People out htere cheering means the world to me!

Jeanne and Nancy = Congratulations!

Laurie - Way to go!!:cool1:

Krista - :lmao: Too funny! WHreeas, I will be crusing and dh will look at me adn say, "You're going slow, don't you feel well?" Ugh. I couldn't do it w/o him, though.

Christa - Sengn prayers for you! WTG on teh awesoem pace!

Mike - :rotfl2: So sorry that the upm did nto appreciate your efforts! :p

Meghan - :wizard: fo speedy healing. Isn't it funny how we hate being todl we can't run when some days it takes so much effort to get oout there? Hope this 2 weeks passes wquickly for you!

Sunny - :scared1: Holy oil bill!!!! Hope it warms up fro good sooon! SOrry about your 20-miler. Isn't it amaxzing the lessons we learn? :rolleyes1

tiberius - Great pace!!!

Chrity, Kristi & Kiena - Way to stick it out on your runs!!!

mel - Sorry abotu teh sotonker! Awesome pic, though!

TriMom - Way to suck it up!!!! SOmetimes that feels better to me than a good run w/o issues.

bekkiz - Back to back runs is very likely why you had a stonker. On day 2, your back up muscles take over fro teh tired ones. Let's just say, if they don't get worked out often, they require some TLC.

Shan - Hope you got theat doc's appt. Hugh bp is nothing to mess with!!!

Kelly - Yikes! That looks mighty hilly! Good luck! (You don't need it, though. )

Steph = SOrry about the stonker. I do think that stonkers befoer the race are the sign of a good race to come!:)

Sandy -lol. I'm not a runner either. I swore it off after HS. However, that annual trip to WDW gets dh adn I off the couch! BTW, you only need a 16 mpm pace. It's best to have a 15 mpm pace for a little cushion, but you should be fine!

Bill - SOrry about the jump rope lesson! Hope that ankle's better soon!

Martha & Craig - Great team work. SOunds liek a wonderful race!

Craig - BTW, Scott's getting a bit jealous now too. SOrry we're leaving our men behind, but I'm sure you'll both appreciate our adjusted attitudes when we get back from our girl time! ;)

Lily - Thanks for teh cheer!

4 days 'til Ileave for Minnie!!!!!!!!
