Aloha Jeff: Oh, I know what CliffsNotes. I used to assign books that had no Cliffsnotes so students had to read everything to get the full effect of the prose. Sound familiar?
You sound as if you had a fun-filled movie-watching (popcorn-eating?) weekend, and running, and table duty at the clinic, and the blood drive... How do you fit it all in? At least you prioritized movies this weekend--a man after my own heart. I'm still trying to convince DOOD that Wall-E is worth a look for him (I've seen it). I love reading your training plan, if for no other reasons than it's both ambitious and easy-to-remember! Given my memory, that latter is especially attractive!
Angie: Great job on your easy-pace 3 miler. Keep up the good (and smart) work!
Stephanie: That's so sweet of you to say I "misread" your post. That gives my response way too much credit. Geez, I wasn't even close--like I didn't read it at all! (Maybe I need my own CliffsNotes?) That said, I think I'm jealous you get to work at the gym. A dream job!
Jackie: I'm glad your DD thinks something is as good as a Dole Whip. I'll test out her theory, but I can't quite buy it. Any more than I can buy the idea that Man U and Ronaldo will quit bickering any time soon, especially after Man U's decision to not offer him a pay increase. How was this weekend's fartlet run with your group?
Kate: WTG with your longest-since Minnie 7.1 miler! Good time AND you enjoyed the rain. Sounds about perfect for you!
Jennifer: Congratulations on your 5K and your 3rd in AG placement. It's great to meet your goals so soon--you get to set up new ones!

I know 26 minutes is already in your sights.
Liz: Yep, it sounded like you volunteered to help with volunteering. That's doing double-duty, isn't it?
Maura: That's a great pace with your bike riding. There's just no way you qualify for any sort of official or honorary slug membership. Especially if you're have enough energy to volunteer and the upbeat attitude to go with it. (I don't think slugs are sappy. Slimy, maybe, but not sappy.)
Cam: I think you did a fabulous job on your 5K for the conditions. And, even more important, I think you're doing a great job keeping motivated with your races, looking at your performance in perspective, and as you put it:
...control[ling] our attitudes and our effort under the circumstances. We need to go into it with the best attitude we can and give the best we have in us at the time. Thank you for teaching me this
Ah, grasshopper, it is YOU who are teaching us.
And then, to have a well-earned and needed rest day. That's an athlete in training, that is! Great job with all the crunches and push-ups. (You know how I feel about them, so thanks for taking on a few on my behalf.

) Good luck in court this week! (p.s. 3 trillion calories and an upper-body/core WO? You're always an overachiever!

)
Howard: The Blood Bank of Delmarva's 5K turnout was great!! As for your night run...well, as long as it was as short run and you wore reflective tape.... And I'm sure deserted neighborhood streets are fine, so long as they're not named Elm Street and a man named Freddie isn't your neighbor.

Glad you avoided all sorts of horror-movie scenarios & didn't get wet.
Leana: WTG on your 18-miler (and your rest day)! And for making your January resort reservations. I expect a full review of Le Cellier when the time comes; you are our native Canadian informant you know, and I demand info about the restaurant's authenticity!
Racey Tracey: Pinky pistols!

Never heard of the term--that means I'm always armed and dangerous! Yay for your 8 miler, btw! I'm jealous you're staying at the Poly for marathon weekend, but also happy for you. That's a great way to commemorate your mother's first 5K. You've a great daughter!
Vic: Great job with completing the mission as assigned. What do you like about the Pearl Izumis? (I like their clothes....)
Terri: Congratulations and a big woo hoo on your relay. You all did great! You're time estimation was really, really close (I'd call it spot-on)! I'm sorry to hear about your #4 teammate--that's a bit scary. Hopefully it doesn't scare her off doing future events. Your own performance rocked, too!
Cindy: Welcome to the weekly thread! You've already racked up the miles and minutes over the weekend. Sounds like you're a multi-sport athlete, as well!

Be careful with that ankle (as it sounds like you're doing.)
Jen: So you decide not to run and instead end up biking and lugging not just milk but DD5 in a trailer???

A very good workout, I'm sure. And I just have to say that you're such a talented seamstress. Your DDs are so lucky to have such cool and age-appropriate outfits to wear to Disney. (Age-appropriate? When did I become my mother?)
Stacie: You did GREAT on your 5K. And I loved the orange smile!
MB Michelle: Yay for getting in your 4 miler. Double yay for your perspetive on the DL 1/2 as your fun run!
Kristi: Thanks to you and Judy for setting up the volunteering. I'm eagerly tuned in for volunteering for the 1/2.....

My ILs say they're still interested in volunteering. We'll see what happens when I tell them the shifts and check-in times.
Claire: When does school end? It's got to be close, right? Kayaking sounds like a lot of fun!
As for me: A weekend of fun (
The Dark Knight, car show/auto race, picnics) and minimal working out. Not much to report, except it was fun.
