With today being Sylvia's birthday..

Maybe we can remember her memory by taking good care of ourselves, family and friends. Make sure to take charge of your own health concerns, be they BSE's, mammograms or any other procedure that may detect cancer, or any other disease for that matter.


Our friend, Sylvia, here on the DIS for less that 18 months, and passing away about 18 months ago, made a very lasting and indelible impression and memory on so many here. Such was her life, and her death, love and caring.

I, too, am fairly new to the DIS. Sylvia certainly sounded like a very special person and it just confirms what a special place the DIS is and all its people. My prayers go to her son.

My cousin is battling an aggressive form of breast cancer which was diagnosed last May. I am one of her support people seeing her through two major rounds of chemo, surgery and now she is getting ready for a round of radiation. We are all hopeful that she can win the battle.
