Plus the truth is it can make it HARDER to get your reservation.

Are you going to be as happy when you call to make a four night reservation and get told "We have one night in category X, two nights in Y and your last night in Z so you have to move three times" That already has happend to people booking at OKW and BWV!

Maybe, but I don't see how the THVhave anything to do with getting booking categories for SSR. All of the THV will be the same (as far as sleeping capacity and space), and they will all be in approximately the same area of the resort.

Well there was a rumor (croak) that they were developing new MS software for SSR while they were adding the treehouses to the room pool.

I for one would love booking categories at SSR. We fly from the west coast, and by the time we get to check in, all the best rooms are taken. This happens even if I book 11 months out! We have never been able to stay in CP because of this.

Why should someone who makes a reservation at the last minuite have a better room than someone who books 11 months in advance. My suspicion is that the people who will resist booking categories the most will be those who do not make reservations until a few months before travel. The same would hold true for BWV. If there were no booking categories there, an SSR owner could book there and have a better room than a BWV owner. This is why booking categories are there in the first place.

At a resort the size of SSR, I can only see this happening if you book at the very last min. And in that case, you always risk not getting exactly what you want. As we all know, DVC is not the best product for people who cannot plan at least a few months ahead.

I just sent DVC a message stating my case and saying that if they think this is required I would hope they would poll the members not just listen to the complainers!

I agree with you that we should all be vocal about our wishes and that DVC should consider members' desires when making policies. I have a long lst of verified DVC members who support SSR Booking Categories. If booking cats at ssr is not addressed before November the list will be delivered to DVC in Novemeber and will be brought up at the annual meeting in Dec.

DVC tends to "ignore" those of us who are happy with what we have and "change it" to reflect the demands of those who aren't which creates a NEW set of "unhappy" customers!

I'll take more choices as opposed to fewer. I plan far enough in advance that I will get exactly what I want and not have to move 3 times during a stay. I am smart enough to know that if I book late, I may have to move during my stay or waitlist and hope for the best. I hope DVD continues to listen to those of us that can make a plan months in advance.

For those that want things to stay as they are probably were opposed to talkies and then to television. Forget about cable, satellite radio, who's gonna pay for that, radios free. Selling water in a bottle, no one will ever buy that, what a stupid idea.

Yes- I am batting 0 for location requests being met at SSR- and I book at 11 months. Have only been given the choice of Carousel or Paddocks- I even offered to wait for a room- no- Springs, CP and GS were all gone.
