The dress and veil look gorgeous! I'm glad to hear everything is working out!
Hi there! Just jumping on-board with your PJ! Your plans sound wonderful, and your dress is GORGEOUS!! I love it!!
Congrats, Michelle!
Just a quick update, Disney emailed me this morning and confirmed that we have Regina for our photographer!!
I am so happy-- I absolutely loved Andrea's photos and I changed my preference after seeing them! I was a little anxious because I have read of brides not getting their choice of DEP photographer and there were some that I really did NOT want (from seeing their samples on the DEP site).
I never worried about using Disney for photography until seeing some of the experiences on here. The only outside photographer I found that I genuinely wanted was Misty Miotto, but she was already booked when I contacted her last fall.
I'm completely happy with Regina, and I can't wait to see what beautiful images she captures!
Glad to hear you got a deal! ;D It's always nice. The only way for me to find her is to go to Kleinfeld's in NYC, which I'd love to go. But I know if I went there my dream gown is in their possession and it's way out of my budget but I know I'd find a way to put her on. So I'm just not going near there. lol. ;D
Happy to hear about the photographer! Your pics are going to be stunning! Especially with your gown! And that veil is totally swoon worthy!!
Yay!!!!I am soooooo glad you got Regina! You are absolutely going to love her, both as a photographer and as a person! She will come up with so many creative pics for you and make you feel totally at ease! I can't wait to see your pictures!
I'm so happy that everything is falling into place! It's going to be a completely magical day for you and Brandon!!!![]()

I know its not elegantBut had never seen this before!
I need to vent.
I mentioned a few months ago that for our ceremony, I want everyone's entrance timed out (as opposed to just playing the CD and people walking when it seems right and risk the songs not being the correct length). I have brought this up with my planner many times now but she has always casually brushed it off, saying that that's not really how they do it.
Well I sent her an email two days ago mentioning (among many, many other things) that I want the entrances timed. Brandon and I took months (literally) to pick all the ceremony songs. Part of the reason it took so long is that we picked songs that all flow beautifully together. For example, the end of the groom & guys' song sounds like it was made to be followed by the beginning of the bridesmaids' song. The songs are really beautiful together. I also generally hate the idea of one song being played more than once-- how horribly repetitive and dull. And for a song to be cut off would take the resolution of the song away. I danced for 16 years, with a strong emphasis in classical ballet, and I believe that every good song tells a story.
So yesterday evening I got a reply from my planner that was negative, and quite frankly, very rude. It seems to me like she is refusing to time the entrances, and she denied my idea of having my sister do it (my sister who has directed numerous local theatre productions and can manage a simple timed entrance).
Now I am horribly frustrated, for three reasons.
1) I am a paying client, and I am not asking for your opinion. I am telling you how I want this done. I did not pay for you to tell me how my wedding should be.
2) This is an extremely easy thing to do-- I am not asking for something outlandish! She is acting like something is bound to go wrong and timed entrances would never work. In both weddings I have been in, the entrances were timed. Nothing dreadful happened. We are all adults and can walk when someone says "walk". Why cause such a fuss over something she could so easily deliver?
3) Now I feel like my wedding planner is not on my side. I feel like she is against me, and my trust in her is gone. Honestly, I don't even want to speak to her anymore.
I hate being a downer. It feels so much better to be able to express my frustration, though.
