Will PopWarner have a big impact at the parks??

Ok, I've read everything about going in December and thought that I had chosen the ideal time (Dec. 2-8) but many of the deluxe hotels are full (no rooms available, not just no discounted rooms). I decided to book for Dec. 9-15 instead because it seemed that the hotels had more availabilty but now I hear about the PopWarner superbowl and I am afraid that the parks will be overrun by screaming football players and cheerleaders. I don't expect problems at the hotel because we will be staying at AKL and I don't think they stay there but one of the appealing things about going in Dec. is the uncrowded parks. Does anyone know if they go to the parks or if they just go to the sports complex? Also, if they do go to the parks, can we find out which ones and avoid them like the plague:teeth: I really have nothing against these kids (my son actually plays PopWarner football) but I was just hoping for relatively quiet parks. Thanks for your help!!

Angie,

We were there during Pop Warner last year and didn't notice a difference in the crowds at the parks at all. It was very uncrowded. :) The only places I think you would be likely to notice the kids would be at the resorts they are staying at (I know that last year All Star Movies and Caribbean Beach were on the list). Have a great trip!

I've gone when they were there and it wasn't a big deal. We always stay at Boardwalk, didn't see them around the resort. They have their competitions during the day at Wide World of Sports. They have an after hours party for them one night at MGM.
