Only ridiculous if it's not happening for a reason. I've stayed in a few hotels where the alarm has gone off in the middle of the night. If safety dictates we evacuate, I'll take the inconvenience.

It’s ridiculous that Disney does not communicate with the guests. No instructions, nothing. There is a malfunction but guests are not told anything. I checked out and found a new hotel.
If you want to stay at a hotel where the alarm goes off in the middle of the night 2 out of 3 nights go for it.
