Wii games suggestions- 7 year old

We decided on wii mostly bc a relative is giving us theirs as they never use it. They only have the sports game. I am new to this. What are some great family games or play date games for a 7year old? Just dance? Toy story mania? What else?

Our 7 year old DD loves Mario Party 8 and 9 as a family game. Personally, we like 8 better than 9, but starting to warm up to 9. Not sure if you have a girl... There is a Babysitting Mama game that you can get at times for $5 (last I saw was at Five Below). Toys R Us has it for $10 right now. Not the greatest game but for $5 it is worth it.

DD also loves all the Just Dance games. Haven't tried the new Disney one yet...

Op here- thanks for the ideas. I forgot to mention that I have a boy!!!! But maybe he would like the Mario party? Seems like so many choices out there.

When my dses were that age they loved the Mario games and the Lego Star Wars ones.

Another vote for Mario Kart. It seems to be great for any age, boy or girl! My DS (now 9) loves anything Lego for it. The Lego games are fun. Family wise we all enjoy the band hero.

My DS 9 and DS5 love Wipeout, Mario Kart, and Wii Sports Resort. Mario Kart is definitely their favorite, they play it all the time & all their friends love it.

My DS7 loves Mario, anything Mario. He likes Angry Birds and Plants vs. Zombies. Oh, and any of the Lego games.

Mario Party 8, Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Bros Wii are all musts. My brother has loved them since he was 5 or 6- Mario games are timeless so he is less likely to grow out of it.

If you go with a Lego game I suggest Lego Batman 2, my boys like it because it has more superheroes in it they can be. They also like Super Monkeyball Banana Blitz.

munchables, kirbys epic yarn, any Mario game, fluidity, world of goo... there's really no end to the awesomeness of wiis games. you can always go old school and download ones you are familiar with. do join the Nintendo club on nintendos site as well because free games are awesome. most games have acode on a slip of paper inside the case. you create an account, enter in all your codes and register your wii, get points, then use the points to get free stuff or games.

I have a DS9 and DD7 we have has a wii since they first came out.

I would suggest Super Mario Brothers, it is based of the original and is fun!
