Hey DM,

Great update! Your dinners look sooo yummy. Oh how I wish I had not canceled my ressies for Le Cellier. That is too bad about Evan's steak but at least he enjoyed eating off others plates:) Brookie looked so sweet sleeping in her daddy's arms. She sure is a beauty.

You cancelled your Le Cellier ressies???? What did you choose instead? This is a MUST DO for us now!

Yes, you know! :cool1:

LOVED the photos of "Sleeping Beauty"! What a doll! :cutie:

As for your steak photos - I must say, I'm glad we ended up changing the reservations. The sauce just doesn't appeal to me at all. And poor Evan! I wouldn't have been able to eat at all after that!

But, I am glad that you enjoyed your evening! That's why there are so many restaurants in WDW! Something for everyone!! ;)

WOW those steaks look delicious! It was nice that you got to take the stroller in so you could enjoy your meal even more.We did this at LTT last year and DD3 woke up at the end too.And yes she needs to be held after waking also. She looks sooo sweet!:thumbsup2

Brookie turned into Sleeping Brookie quite a few times. I love saying that; it sounds cute to me. I'm glad you're glad with your choice for ressies. Just remember, though, that Le Cellier was very accommodating and you most certainly did not have to have the sauce on the filets.

They were delicious. It is so hard with a child that age when they still need a nap yet don't take one but still fall asleep at times... We tried most of the time to make our ADRs for lunch time so she would still be awake and it seemed to help.

Now I am all spazzy wanting to know what you ordered for dessert! :hyper:
Spazzy, eh? I guess you'll have to keep on spazzing a while more...

Alec is not so much into steak now. He wanted the hotdog with fries…
P1000682.jpg
Wowsa, those are some GOOD looking fries! :thumbsup2
...some yummy looking fries. I don’t know if they were as I didn’t sample them…
See?! :rotfl:

Now, you need to know Evan. I think he
has the most sensitive nose ever. He is always asking what stinks, smells…saying things like,
“What is that DISGUSTING smell?”
Oh yes, I've got one of those, too! ;)

Love the lime green binkie! :thumbsup2

Here, have a glance at the dessert menu and try to guess what Rob & I each ordered. We
each ordered something different…
I'll go with S'mores and Mousse???

You cancelled your Le Cellier ressies???? What did you choose instead? This is a MUST DO for us now!

I had made reservations back in January but then in April we decided that we were not going to do the dining plan and that we would just eat counter service whenever we were hungry. I did not want to keep an ADR that somebody else could use so I cancelled it. It was such a great ADR as well as it was on July 1st which is Canada Day so what could be more appropriate than eating in Canada on Canada Day. Well mid-May I found out about an awesome code that would give us a really great rate with the Dining Plan so I booked it. I was able to get all our ADR's rebooked except for Le Cellier which was of course booked solid for our entire stay. :sad2: My next trip I am definitely going to eat at Le Cellier
!

Wow! I am lovin' your trip report!! I can't wait to read more!! Keep the updates coming :)

SHWEW!!! I am finally caught up! (I hate posting when I am a bazillion pages behind everyone!)

I loved your LeCellier report.:thumbsup2 Brookie is adorable! My 3 year old is a cranky waker-upper too-- needs to be held and "loved" back into the waking world.

Also have a sensitive smeller, like Evan-- in his 9 years on Earth we've never been able to get him into the elephant house at the zoo.... And I TOTALLY would have had the same reaction as you over the "smelly steak" incident! So don't feel too bad!!!

Can't wait to find out what dessert you ordered! CREME BRULEE for me, please!!;)

Hey DM--why are you posting at 5 am?? It's summer time!
I was thinking the same thing about posting at 5 am. I just couldn't sleep. So I got up and DISed a bit then went back to sleep until 9:30...

Wowsa, those are some GOOD looking fries! :thumbsup2
Wish I tried one now...:confused3

Love the lime green binkie! :thumbsup2
Gee...never thought about that...:rolleyes1

I'll go with S'mores and Mousse???
You got one correct...

Never ever cancel a Le Cellier ADR unless you know for absolutely positively sure you will not be dining there. I did cancel Le Cellier at first for a different day and the CM asked me 3 times if I was sure as I may not get it later. He then said that he was sure someone would snap up my time that day. I was able to make another ADR for Le Cellier for a good time but I was still calling months in advance.

Thanks for reading! Thankfully, the meals got better for Evan! Creme brulee? Maybe...maybe not....we'll see!

Good news x 2 all....

My computer is fixed and safely made it back home (but I am $300 short now  ). So, I have to return this laptop to my dad. I had another update saved on his laptop so I guess I have to post it now. You lucky people getting an update so soon....:cheer2:

Le Cellier Dinner

It’s time for my most favorite part of any meal….DESSERT!

Evan & Alec got the make-your-own sundaes which they were very excited about. It was vanilla ice cream with a cherry. The 3 toppings included: chocolate sauce, sprinkles, and banana chips. They loved making their own sundaes with the chocolate sauce and sprinkles but neither one wanted the banana chips. I took one out and attempted to bite it and it was very hard and I thought too big for the small ice cream bowl anyway. If they were fresh bananas I thought it would be better.

Rob ordered the Crème Brulee sampler. He thought it was very good. I didn’t try it as I’m not into that type of dessert.

And now it’s time for my dessert. I ordered the Chocolate “Moose” and it came out as cute as everyone has posted before. Plus it was very very yummy. I wish I could have eaten it all by myself but Brookie took one look at it and I had to share it. I wanted to tell her to get her own but I was cheap and didn’t want to pay for another one so I shared. I even tried to trick her and give her the cookie ears but she was on to me and wanted the chocolate part. Darn it all. But at least she loved it too.

So, to sum up our meal here, except for my appetizer and Evan’s steak, the meal was wonderful. What a great way to begin our table service dinners on the DDP! The bill at the end was $145. Our cost for the DDP per day was just short of $100 per day. Woohoo…we got our money’s worth today!

Next installment...June 23...Epcot...Browsing Canada

Been lurking and enjoying this TR for a few days now and just caught up. Great TR...Cuuute kids!

Yum, your desserts all look super yummy. Dessert is my favourite part of the meal as well.

Glad to hear that the computer is all fixed although it really sucks that it cost $300.
