I really like chocolate. Give me chocolate mousse anyday baby. Of course, key lime pie is my most favorite of all!!!
Wow--we could travel together ..........except we might fight over the same desserts! (and I get irritated too when my kids want MY dessert!)

I hate the binkie. My boys quit theirs by age 4 months and they didn't even really suck on one anyway. Brooke was a "sucker". In fact, and I'm probably giving TMI, she sucked on me so hard the first couple of days that I was raw. The nurse had to take her away and gave her a gloved pinkie finger to suck on (no more binkies in the hospital) just to give me a rest. She is addicted to it now and we try very hard not to let her take it when we go out. In Disney World, however, we knew that schedules and what not were blown to heck so the binkie helped at some times.

Girl, I wish you would have told me that before! I mean, yeah, a little TMI, but, guess how my parents got my brother to quit sucking his pacifier??? We went to Disney, and they told him that Mickey Mouse took it. He never sucked one after that.

And what kid can actually get mad at Mickey????

I like the short updates...lol :) I like being able to read something everyday!!! I am on summer vacation (I'm a teacher, no kiddies yet and my husband works all day) so I am home by myself and love getting my disney fix and disney food fix :rotfl:

I am loving your report and your children are so cute! I can't wait to have kids to take to disney one day!!

I like the short updates too! Makes it last longer :thumbsup2 Love the review of Le Cellier. We are going there for the first time on our next trip and I am so excited :woohoo: !

Not to self: Do not travel with TE or she might steal my dessert...:scared:

Mine would, especially Evan. He can be mad any anyone who does something he doesn't like. I don't think the Mickey thing would cut it but it's too late now. We'll work on her now that we're home. Plus she will be going to preschool in September and she'll have longer and longer times without that lovely binkie.

Thank you so much. No updates today as we are very busy. In fact, Rob is eyeing me now to get off the computer. It's his day off.

Short updates is the way to go! It's easier on me and everyone likes it! I'm glad that you chose Le Cellier. I love hearing about everyone's experiences so I'll be watching for your TR....you will be writing one, right, when you go?

Antonia had her pacifier (which she called foey) until she was almost 5! We actually had strangers tell us once that we should be ashamed of ourselves. We finally got her to give it up in Disney, too! She had just started kindergarten and we just decided enough was enough. Her daddy told her that she couldn't have her foey anymore and that we would stay in the hotel room and not go on any rides until she stopped crying and agreed to stop using foey. It worked! He sat in the room with her for about 2 hours (I went to MGM by myself - I can't handle the crying) and once she stopped crying she never asked for that darn foey again!

Who would want those hard banana chips on their sundaes? Come on Disney- throw me a bone here! Other than that, those little sundaes look so cute and fun!

I was half right with my creme brulee guess. Of course, I just guessed that because it's what I would have gotten. However, after seeing that adorable moose... I might have to re-think my option.

You definitely got our money worth on that day, baby! Woo hoo!:woohoo:

I hate going into places like Bath & Body Works because it's just too many smells going on and I get headaches.

We originally had an ADR for San Angel but cancelled that one and made one for Garden Grill instead for the kiddos. I heard too many negative things about San Angel and I thought the kids wouldn't like it so much anyway.

DM: KEY LIME PIE is our favorite, too! Dana and I ALWAYS share a slice if it's on the menu. Our friends were over this past weekend and she made one TO DIE FOR... If you want the recipe, I'll email it to you. It looks very easy!

Pacifier Stories
: Dana only used her's to go to sleep... but we couldn't get her to part with it... she brought it to Disney when she was three (you remember that photo of her leaning on the bed! lol). We should have thought of Mickey needing it, but instead SANTA CLAUS took it! We left it with his cookies & milk on Christmas Eve so that he could bring it to her new cousin in Michigan... (because we all know that Michigan doesn't sell pacifiers. Oh, to have the days return when you can convince your child of ANYTHING... ::sigh::...) She sobbed most of the night, but it was GONE! By Christmas night, she was fine with the idea that Santa really needed to get it to the new baby! :cloud9:

Re: Smells!
- Bob can't stand when I want to stop at the Candle factories in the Poconos! Says, "Geesh, this place gives me a massive headache!"

Re: San Angel
- we had a FANTASTIC meal there before Dana was born - went back a second time and we weren't blown away, but it was "ok" - went last year with Dana and it was horrible. I think the "lunch menu" has more appealing choices for us than the dinner menu. This year we had take out at the Cantina and it was VERY GOOD! So, you never know... Oh - by the way - another counter service that we enjoyed VERY much this year was in China! Had a nice lunch there on a whim, and it was very tasty!

Faith still uses her "paci" as well, only at bedtime/naptime. She has been such a horrible sleeper all her life, its the only thing that ever helped..I dont plan on taking it away from her. Though hers stays in her bedroom only.

Yummy!!! Those LeCellier pic look yummy! Let's see.... I get to eat there in.... 34 non-Fuzzy days!!! Woo hoo!!!:woohoo:

DM, What was that sticking out of the moose's mouth:confused3
His tongue, of course, Janet! :lmao:
Wow 2 updates DM :faint: Love the sleeping Brookie so sweet and sorry totally OT but did you know we call binkies or what ever you call them Dummies :rotfl: So pleased you enjoyed your meal can't wait to go there and I now know you can substitute :thumbsup2
We call them CHUCKIES. I don't know why... it started with Maddie. :confused3
And I agree with Jen I want to know all about the moose :)
Are you joking? :rotfl2:

Oh you big meanies making her give it up at only 5 years old! :lmao: I hope Brookie doesn't keep it that long. I'm really hoping that preschool will help.

No banana chips in this family! I wonder how many people really do put them on their sundaes? I loved the DDP. It totally was great by letting us eat different things we never would have, like appetizers, yet not have to pay that much for it. I think no matter what, the price for the plan was worth it!

Hm...no binkies in Michigan, eh? My bro- and sis-in-law are adopting a baby from China. I wish they would get the baby already and then I could use that story too...(they live near Detroit). Some bragging here...my bro-in-law is a big wig for Business Week magazine. He sometimes also writes articles in, I think, Auto Week and is on CNN frequently when they are talking about the American auto makers. His name is David Welch. Okay, bragging done.

Dana only used hers in the crib... once, I was taking her out and she realized she still had it in her mouth and she stopped dead in her tracks and flung it back into the crib. It was very funny - as if "Oh no! ONLY IN THE CRIB!!!" My dad always said that you never saw a bride walk down the aisle with a baby bottle or a pacifier, so don't sweat it! :goodvibes

We called them "nuks" - I think that was an actual "brand name"...

Faith is Brookie's age, right? We used to keep it only in her bedroom and was fine the whole day without it, only going to bed with it. Then about 6 months back, we removed the gate from the stairway and she was going up to get the binkie all by herself. We tried hiding it but then that caused meltdowns...:confused3

I enjoyed the food photos!! Le Celliar is on our must do list for next year!!
Thanks for the updates:)
Thank you! There will be more food pics as my days are updated. I get excited when people keep telling me that they are going to Le Cellier. I can't wait to go back, some day!

Yummy!!! Those LeCellier pic look yummy! Let's see.... I get to eat there in.... 34 non-Fuzzy days!!! Woo hoo!!!:woohoo:
You lucky ducky. Think of me when you're there, as I am sure you'll think of me often  .

I've never heard of chuckies before. It must be that California Celebrity lingo...:snooty: :lmao:

YES!!!! Brookie used to do exactly that. It was wonderful and I actually used to brag that she only used it for sleeping. Then she learned she could go upstairs by herself and get it sneakily. It all went down the crapper from there...:sad2:

We called them "nuks" - I think that was an actual "brand name"...
Renée
Yes it is a brand name. I think that's the kind Brookie uses. She is particular which kind she uses. One day I brought home the same exact one she uses now but it had a picture on it. Oh no! No picture for her! It had to be a solid color. :rolleyes2

Yes, Faith will be 3 Aug 13th...She still uses paci and is not potty trained. What a horrible mother I am:lmao:

Really you call them dummies :rotfl2: we just call them fake ****s :rotfl2: I think that word gets censored doesn't it :rotfl2:

She is addicted to it now and we try very hard not to let her take it when we go out.

Do you mean my bro-in-law? Because, no we do not look anything alike! :lmao: I don't think Rob looks like him either.

Prior to that, he was an associate editor at the Dallas Business Journal. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

Here's my bro and we don't look alike either...

:rotfl2: That's why you don't look alike :lmao: That's the same photo I found! I don't think you look like your actual brother either, now maybe if you both had the same hair style you would look more similar :lmao:
