Great choice on car shopping! Those R really nice. We recently went car shopping but it was opposite of you, we have a grand cherokee limited, It was mine but I wanted something bigger so we shopped for a van ( I was VERY skeptical of driving a van)- BUT fell in love with town and country limited. we ended up buying it and I LOVE driving a mini van now. Its so nice, all I do is push a button on my car remote and both of teh side doors slide open so the kids can get in without my help (the bigger ones anyway) Its GREAT! Anyway Dane got the Grand cherokee passed down to him for his painting bussiness so he was pretty happy too-although I think next year were gonna get him a new truck.

a night alone????? Please tell me what thats like! It has been months since Dane and I have had a night alone! HAVE FUN;)

My friend has a Caliber...actually the orange one! It's sooo nice, and it drives so well! He has the sport interior, so the seats have orange stripes...but thats just because he wants to be "cool" lol

Great AK chapter, those videos are hilarious! I especially love the FOTLK ones! Your kids are goofballs!

Cool. D. & I had "date night" and are on our 2nd bottle of wine... :rolleyes1

We saw the Simpsons movie and went out to eat. Nice! :thumbsup2

Love the car - I have the Grand Caravan (bought it used, loaded - no way I would have paid full price for all the upgrades, but we got a good deal.) Sadly, still have 2 years to pay on it, and D. has a quite nice Saturn sedan (love it!) that is 2 months to pay off, but about done, mileage wise. We'll probably let him drive his into the ground and see. He needs a hybrid - his pilot job is 40 minutes away, about 3 times a week - doesn't need too much extra, and we are kind of "green." I would LOVE to have something more fuel efficient than the van, but don't know where to go. Without the stroller, we're OK in a smaller vehicle, except that we have company constantly, so the 7 passenger seating seems pretty necessary...

What's the Caliber got for seats? I have been eyeing the small "crossover" vehicles that would have the tiny third row when necessary, but plenty of nice cargo room with seats folded down when grandparents aren't in town.

Sorry, the wine has obviously affected me, and I'm babbling... :rolleyes1

Guess what?! The B.F.'s mom drives a Dodge Calibur! She has the sunburst orange one. It rides pretty nice!

Well it's good to see that I don't have too many updates to get through. ;) I love the short updates, makes catching up much easier. :lmao:
Now that I'm back though I'll be requesting more!

No fair doing a post count whilst I was away. :guilty:

OK, Love Alec's mad drumming skillz.:thumbsup2 That turn move was awesome, he's the next Tito Puente I'm telling you.

Poor Brookie and the Kary pic. I actually thought it was nice though. :upsidedow She looked kinda tired with the blue Dino in AK though.

Your hair looks quite luverly DM and I don't see any dead trees for the life of me.

That's a sweet car too. :thumbsup2

Rob says he really will miss his Grand Cherokee. I loved driving it too. But it was just too much of a gas hog and he drives on the NYS Thruway everyday to work. Filling up that thing was just ridiculous at this point. The Caliber will be fine for us for now, so I'm glad it's only a 27 month lease.

Oh, and it really was not a night alone. Brookie was still here but she went to bed very nicely. But date night was a tiny bust. I'll post more...

Good looking car!! Have fun tonight ;)
Thanks. See my next "alone" post...

We saw the orange one and really liked it. But the better deal was on the white one and we were all about the deals right now. Wasn't that funny with Evan and the video at FOTLK?

:drive: :car: Lots of luck with the new car, DM! :car: :drive:
Thanks Renee. I think it will be a fine car for a couple of years.

You are too funny. And why, if it is date night, are you posting? I will never give up my minivan. I absolutely love it and will get another one when this one is done with. The Caliber has the 2 seats up front and a 60/40 split bench in the back. It does, however, have the 3 shoulder seatbelts in back so, in a pinch, we really could bring along 3 kids. The thing that makes it tight is that Brookie and Alec have to be in booster seats until age 7 here in NY.

Great...2 people here have the orange one. That one was really cool looking! :cool1: But I do like white. It's classy looking. It's hard to get use to a 4 cylinder car again though.

What do you mean no fair posting whilst you were gone? Do you mean on your thread where I just pointed out that you had me in one of your pictures? :rolleyes1 Thanks for catching up so fast! You rock chicaroo!

Hope you had a great date night!
Ha ha ha....see next post!

Rob bought me a bottle of Cavit Pinot Grigio and got himself a local reisling from Keuka Lakes Winery. Earlier we had taken the kids out to Chili's for dinner before we dropped the boys off to Rob's parents. Brookie stayed home. She's not ready for that yet. I got a plain hamburger at Chili's and so did Rob. Well, didn't that burger sit in my stomach? It just felt like it was not moving and my stomach was very upset.

My stomach is not very good anyway. I ended up (*sorry for you weak stomach people) throwing up a couple times. I'm the type of person who can throw up if my stomach is upset and it can be better sooner than later. Sometimes... I still did drink 1 glass of wine but it just didn't do it for me.

Anywho, Rob & I had fun in bed. No, not like that. We had fun playing Playstation! He beat me at some game. I don't even know the name of it. Then I wanted to play "Life" and I kicked booty! I sailed away in my yacht into millionaire acres....:boat:

Then Rob fell asleep while I watched Sell this House, Flip this House, Wreck this House and Fix it Up, Totally Burn this House to the Ground and Redo this House. You get the picture...;)

Awww, poor DM... :sad2: That's no good.

I was posting on date night because we wanted to see the movie, but it wasn't a good week for having date night, if you KWIM. :rolleyes1 So, D found Less than Zero on cable and was watching that, and I went online. :)

OK, so there's a local chain of restaurants here in NH and we often end up there on date night. I like to eat in the upstairs bar, because you can get the full (really nice) restaurant menu, OR order from their pub menu. I finally tried one of their famous "local favorites" - Mac & Cheese Pizza! It sounds weird (they even say that on the menu), but it was SO good. Homemade white cheddar sauce and rotini noodles on a flatbread style crust with some extra parm... YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM. :) (Is it weird that your story made me want to talk about food?)

now for the update on the 13th.
Sorry to hear about the "bliss"ters. Why are they called blisters? they aren't "bliss"ful .

The quiet pool looks quiet. Like to one at my inlaws house. The kids look like they had fun in the pool. And Brookie is so cute getting a swimming lesson.
