Why do people feel they have to cheat the system?

I wrote this in the US board, but I'm so frustrated with people who always try to cheat the system.

Someone PM'd me asking if, at US, if they use bioscan or something similar b/c if not, they want to share one 5 day ticket. GEEZ LOUISE! US has been EXTREMELY inexpensive of late, with the 5 day passes and free for kids, now someone wants to take even more advantage of it? You're going to ruin it for the rest of us!

And sorry, there is a person right there watching each of us put the pass in so there is no way to share.

And you should be ashamed of yourself for even asking.

I agree ! The outright cheaters-he is only a little over 3 and the get around the rules even though we really know better-I know I paid for child credits but I'll use them for adult meals and buy the kid the cheapest meal I can "cause we can get away with it. I am so sick of people trying to work the system.

Here I figured this was about taxes! I have a friend who makes me crazy at this time of the year, every year because she CHEATS like crazy on her taxes. Her DH is way into it too. Last year we were talking about donations and he told me that all you have to do it get a receipt and that you could just take in a couple of old tshirts and then claim that you donated all kinds of stuff to get the deduction.

I thought it was relevant when I paid honest and good money to go to US and then I get a PM on how to cheat. I thought I had a right to vent.

Ok never mind, found what biscan is, I honestly think its a smoke screen to keep people from doing just that. My son and husband are always grabbing each others pass's never once have we had an issue.

Everything in life has a positive and negative side to it.. Quite often even the "positive" threads here end up being "negative"..

I think the question was a legitimate one - and probably also a bit of a "vent".. Nothing wrong with that..

Last year we thought we were going to get WDW APs for everyone in the family, but I just ended up buying one to get the room AP discount. Anyway, when we were talking about it, DS's brother was practically salivating, thinking he could take HIS family of 5 to WDW on OUR family of 5's APs! They're the same ones who fit their family of 5 in a single room at the All Stars resorts.

I really blame their dad (my FIL) for the streak of dishonesty. He was always bringing home "free" stuff from his employer (AT&T)...not embezzlement, just stuff like toilet paper, bandaids, OTC pills, etc. In their minds, if it's taking from a huge company, it's okay.

I think it is because they are souless, morally bankrupt, down right evil people who are costing me money, and I think they should be hung!

No, I think it is because they are trying to save money on an unbelievably expensive vacation - more power to them! And I'm bringing my refillable mug back, too!

Whenever I see threads about getting around the system to save a few ( or in some case a lot) dollars, I always think about a thread from a few years back about a mom cheating to get her kid into a better school.

The mom didn't live in the area; she used a false address to enroll her child a great school. Many DISers said she should be reported, she was a cheater....

Why is ok to cheat in order to take your child on a great vacation, but it isn't ok to cheat in order to ensure your child receives a good education?

Oh, and for the record, I'm no angel; I’ve done a few dishonest things at WDW.

It's not okay to cheat, lie or deceive through action or omission.

I believe someone said that the biometrics at Disney are all tied together for one family. That is not the case at Universal. If you get your tickets mixed up, you can't enter with them until they are straightened out.

Universal does a one finger scan not a scan of the length of the fingers like Disney does. Its definitely not a smokescreen.

From the title of the thread I knew that it was going to be a vent...and could get a little ugly. I had the CHOICE to not open it and read. IF you don't like negative threads, don't open the thread with a title that is quite obvious in what is contained in it. I don't open the political threads because I just get all worked up reading them. I don't open the games and exchanges becuase I don't do those...everthing else is pretty much fair game for me.

Do I understand this right! An AP can be used by any member in one family?
