I listen to folks of all walks of life talk all day, every day, for my job, and adding an "S" to words is becoming more and more common. We have Lane Avenue and Dunn Avenue in our town, and more and more refer to it as Lanes Avenue and Dunns Avenue.
Lane"s" ave was my neck of the woods for 40 years until I move to St Augustine"s". Hi neighbor.
It bugs me also to see the english language get butchered like it does. It's not only adding an s at the end of a place, but also when people don't know which word to use. People use than when then should be used, or don't know the difference between to, too, and two. I try hard to use proper grammer and spelling but sometimes my brain is faster than I can write or type so I do understand some mistakes. I think a lot of the time people just don't care, if it's wrong it's wrong.
