Who's Going Oct 09? Plans Are...

I am sooooo hoping for a great deal. I am thinking that they may do something different the second half of the year. Maybe extend free dining again??? I do not know, but I hope it is something we can all enjoy. I would just love a 5 off for each night stayed. Maybe increasing with each day. I might even extend my travel time a day if I can. When do you think they would announce something?

I'm going SOLO for the first time (at POLYNESIAN! :cloud9: ) Sept 28th - Oct 2nd and then my parents are joining me (at Coronado Springs) from Oct 2nd - Oct 7th! :thumbsup2

I just decided to seriously look into a short trip in October! It will be my sisters 24th birthday and i'm planning to do it as a surprise. I'm thinking of Oct 27-31st (her b-day is the 29th). My plan is to tell her we're going to the beach and just keep on driving. It should be so fun if I can get this to work. It's pushing my budget a bit since we're already going this January, but hey, the addiction has begun!!!

Yeah...we are!! Just booked October 13-18 at AKV. Can't wait to see the new Kadani village (is that how you spell it?). Let the planning begin!

Ok I just changed our plans because of the AP 40% off resort discount and now we are staying Oct 22-25 at the POP and Oct 25 to Nov 1 at the BC CL!

I am so excited I hope the time flies by

Hi everyone!

I got a 40% code and am booked and ready to go. We are still going the week of Oct 25th through the 1st of Nov. (Sat-Sun) We added the Sat the 24th at rack rate just in case we get a sweet deal on airfare. We saved over 1700.00 for that week!!!:cool1:

We're going 10/25 to 10/31 and will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary. Has anyone ever had a great experience or suprise while celebrating their anniversary in Disney? I know there is no guaratee that they will do anything, but I an hoping something nice will happen especially since it's the "What will you celebrate" year. They asked me if I was celebrating anything when I made my reservation and the CM seemed very excited and glad I mentioned it was our anniversary.

We went in Oct. 08 and we enjoyed MNSSHP so much that as soon as we got home we informed my sister that were going back next year and we were taking the nephews with us. This time we are going to buy two nights for the party. We didn't get to do everything we wanted this time around at the party. This is the first time that we are doing trips so close together.
:cool1: :hyper: :hyper:

We r booked to FW campground 10/31-11/7, can't wait. First time camping in Disney. Driving down with our camper and staying for $400. Can it get any better????? Kids do not know yet. Debating Hoppers or MYW passes.

Does anyone now $ or NSSHP this year? Comparable to last year?

Just booked SSP for Oct. 25-31st. 2bd villa. Wanted BC or BW but waited too long. Have never been to SSP or stayed in a villa so we are very excited. Also used PIN for 40% off room so...how much better can it get!!!
We usually stay at Swan or Dolphin, as we use points to help with cost but taking all 4 kids for first time so needed extra room and kitchen area, no point taking everyone out to eat all the time, they never eat everything.
Will we like SSP? Any thoughts?:cheer2:

Hi everyone! This is my first post and I am really glad to be here! I am booked for October 25-30with my mom. We have two rooms at YC. I got a 40% off code sent in my maiden name to my parents' address and it worked for this time frame. Doing 5 day passes with PH and Deluxe dining. We like to order room service for breakfast before heading out sometimes so with in-room taking two TS meals I think the Deluxe will pay-off. I went to MNSSHP for the first time ever in 2008 and can't wait to see it again. Our dates are Sunday through Friday, leaving early Friday morning. Any guesses on what nights MNSSHP would be from you guys with more time in? The dates should come out around May?

Welcome! You are in good company here. I am wanting those tickets as well. Anyone have any ideas??

I am a newbie here-so glad I found this site! Just booked our trip today! Oct 21st-Oct 26th at FW in a cabin. First time staying at FW. So excited about this trip cause I will be celebrating my Bday and also my nieces bday. This will be her first trip and I have made her into a Mickey Mouse lover just like me. My DD, DMIL, DSIL & DBIL will be going also. We plan on making ressies at CRT for breakfast, 50's Prime Time, Coral Reef (DD's 2 favorites) and Whispering Canyon Cafe. I have never been during this time of the year and I am looking forward to it! Here's to counting down the days to October!!:jumping1:

I will be going 9/27 thru 10/04!! My birthday is 10/02 so I'm looking forward to celebrating with the Mouse!! We will be staying at AsMu!!!

Anyone know how early they start having the MNSSHPs????? Will there be one while I'm there???

Hi. that is about the same dates as when I was there last year, 2008, and there were 2 parties during my stay. I think I was there 9/28-10/1. I remember we had a choice of 2 nights.

Hi. I replied to you yesterday but did not link it, sorry. As stated above, that is about the exact same week I went last year and there were 2 MNSSHP nights during my stay. I am sure you will see it when you are going.

We will stay at the POP the last week of September (into October). Just booked last week. I want to try Mama Melrose and Chef Mickey's. We are hoping to do the Halloween Party the Food and Wine Festival.

My friend that I'm going with has booked our stay already, however I'm considering going a few days early but I'm going to wait a month before I book those rooms LOL!!

Who: DDad, DMom, DH, Me, DBro, DSIL

What: Dad-funded WDW Trip

Where: WDW, of course! Resort still TBD, but we're considering CR and POR

When: October 15-20, 2009 (six days/five nights*)

Why: Because, in Dad's words, "I want all of us to go there together before I'm too darned old to enjoy it!"

How: *Here's where the asterisk comes into play. If airfares remain "similar" this year to next, it will be cheaper for DH and I to fly out of our airport on October 14th, use my hotel points to stay over near the airport, and then join the rest of the crew that flies in first thing the morning of the 15th. If that's the case, DH and I will arrive in Orlando mid-afternoon on 10/14 and probably do Cirque that night. The rest of the family will take the first N/S flight from Baltimore the next morning, we'll head back to the airport to meet them, and then we'll all take the ME to our resort.

Must See: MNSSHP, Spaceship Earth (it was closed when DH and I were there last year), Big Thunder Mountain (ditto, plus the last time Dad and I rode it together in 1981, it broke down...gotta finish that ride together!), Soarin' (I just know Mom is going to love it!), POTC (we're all huge fans of the movies)

Must Eat: Le Cellier, Wolfgang Puck's, Brown Derby (there is no better Cobb Salad anywhere!)

Only 436 days to go! :rotfl:

Wow! It's been nearly 200 days since my post. I know this because there are now only 238 days until my trip!

As of Saturday morning, we have reservations at POR. Each couple gets a standard view king room. We have room-only ressies right now, hoping for an extension of the great discounts we've been seeing lately or a PIN or some other money-saving offer.

Also as of Saturday morning, DH and I have our plane tickets! We are flying out the night before everyone else since it is 1) cheaper and 2) saves time on the first full day of our WDW adventure. As previously noted, we'll stay for free overnight at a hotel near the airport courtesy of my hotel points and then shuttle back to MCO in the morning to meet the rest of our clan.

I am so excited!!!

Hi everyone! I wasn't planning on being an Oct 09er, but here I am!! My best friend and her FI decided to scrap their wedding locally and move the festivities down to WDW. :) They're getting married off property and for their reception they're buying everyone ticket for the Party For the Senses. :)

We're also planning on hitting up the Halloween party, as long as it's offered while we're down there.

Currently we're booking at Coronado, but hoping for AP rates to come out so that we can afford either the Yacht or Beach Club.
