Who's Going Oct 09? Plans Are...

We booked the bounceback promotion for Oct. 25-31 at the WL in a woods view bunkbed room. Rate is $234.50 per night. Rack rate is $335, so that's almost exactly $100 off per night. Not a huge deal, but pretty good. We might cancel this though and book thru DVC points again, it will depend on if we can get a 1 bedroom villa for cheaper than the WL bouceback rate. It might turn out to be exactly the same price.

The kids actually get out for Fall Break on Oct. 23 so we are thinking we'll do Universal the first three days! :thumbsup2 We haven't been there in years so I've already started research.

We just booked a studio at Animal Kingdom Villas for a quick trip Oct. 28-Nov. 1st. We'll be in Kidani Village. I'm hoping to get tickets to MNSSHP for the 29th and we'll be spending the rest of our park days over at Universal/IOA. My kids haven't been there yet and since I managed to win a free ticket with the Superbowl promo they had, I figure why not try it out and see how they like it.

Hi! We are booked for Old Key West 1bdrm villa Oct 2 thru Oct 9th and I just added one more night at AS music!
DD and her family will be along, but staying the week at SSR.
We are staying on points, so no free dining for us but we did decide to buy it any ways-it realy seems like a great vacation, when you don't have to think to hard about the cost of the meals.
Now chasing airfare, trying to get a good price. And I'll be buying our park tickets this week with a corperate discount. Can't wait!!:cool1:

We're going Oct 17 - 25 to POR
I'm in the process of chasing airfare too...I just need about $20-$30 more and Im in!

My real countdown starts today!!! We will arrive at WDW in six months, God willing. It will be my family, dmil and dfil, dsil, her son and her boyfriend. I cannot wait. Pixidust to all October travelers and have fun planning.:goodvibes

11th-18th at CSR with free dining, just booked a couple of days ago so i'm currently bouncing off the walls! Boma is a definite (bf's favourite restaurant anywhere so we'll probably eat there for dinner and pay OOP for breakfast too) aswell as 50s Primetime, Le Cellier and Beaches and cream (paying OOP). Also considering Ohana breakfast, Whispering canyon cafe, one of the GF signatures, 1900 Park fare, Coral Reef (loved this last time but just wondering if we should try somewhere different, plenty of time to decide I guess!) I want to do a tour aswell, did KTTK in 2005 and loved it so probably will do one in another park this time :)

This is my first post...but I am so excited to have found this site. We are going Oct 18-23rd. Staying in Wilderness Lodge. It is my first trip as well as first trip for the kids. They will be twins turning 3 while there and baby will be 2. DH has been 20 years ago. MIL/FIL are coming and staying in their timeshare as well. I am so excited but have so much to plan still.

We just booked an October free dining trip as a surprise trip for my son's 8th birthday. We will be staying at All Stars Music this year to save money since we splurged with a Land/Sea vacation last year. Our dates are 10/3 to 10/9.

how were you able to do that?
i had to move my trip up one week because the free dining ended on the 3rd...
or so I was told.
I was originally booked october 3-10th and now am going September 26-October 3rd...

My dates have changed now (flight cancelled!) so we're now going from the 9th-23rd. :D Staying in POP.

You did not need to move your trip. As long as you check in on October 3rd you can get free dining for the length of your stay. I had no problems when I got my quote from Disney nor did my dreams unlimited agent when she booked for us.

lucky!
I booked through liberty travel and they showed me on the computer that it was blocked out after the third.
Well in the end we're going to disney!
I just wanted to make sure we could go to MNSSHP

Wow! It's been nearly 200 days since my post. I know this because there are now only 238 days until my trip!

As of Saturday morning, we have reservations at POR. Each couple gets a standard view king room. We have room-only ressies right now, hoping for an extension of the great discounts we've been seeing lately or a PIN or some other money-saving offer.

Also as of Saturday morning, DH and I have our plane tickets! We are flying out the night before everyone else since it is 1) cheaper and 2) saves time on the first full day of our WDW adventure. As previously noted, we'll stay for free overnight at a hotel near the airport courtesy of my hotel points and then shuttle back to MCO in the morning to meet the rest of our clan.

I am so excited!!!

54 days later and I have more to report. SWA finally released their schedule through the end of October today, so I was able to book my parents, DBro, and DSIL's flights this morning. I got $69 each way from BWI...I am really happy about that! I also booked their Super Shuttle reservations and added the DME to all of our reservations.

Now I need to sit back and wait for May 1st so I can buy our MNSSHP tickets!

:stitch2:

Does anyone know what dates where sold out for MNNSHP last year? Where there many? Didn't know if it would be better to wait to purchase them when we get there.

:woohoo::woohoo:Woo Hoo, just got my Southwest Tickets for Oct 24th. Now just have to wait till they release my return date.

Hi everybody!

My family (DH, DD6, DD4) will be heading to WDW for the first time. When we heard about the free dining we booked right away. I asked the WDW reservations person about checking in on Oct 3 and if FD would still be granted for the rest of the stay (I had read someone's post regarding that) and she said absolutely! So, we're going down Oct 3-10. To save money we're staying at the POP. Both of our mother's are going, too, and will be staying in a room together near us.

It's a bit overwhelming trying to figure out ADR's and such. I guess which ever ADR's I'm able to get will determine where we go that day! I'll be trying for
CRT B
CM D
Crystal Palace L/D
T-Rex (yes, I know it's not on the DDP, but CRT will use up 2TS and we'll need to eat somewhere!)
O'hana D

Hmm..couple others but I can't think of them right now. I think I'm going to aim for booking MNSSHP for Oct 8th. or 6th. Haven't made up my mind I guess!

We plan on taking a break everyday back at the resort, either for napping or pool time. I guess we'll take it day by day and see what everyone wants to do w/ their downtime. We'll visit AK one day, Epcot one day, HS one day and the rest will probably be dedicated to MK. We'll get to our resort around 1pm or so that first day.....not quite sure what to do w/ that time. Book an ADR in MK? Go shopping in DtD and go to T-Rex that night? Any suggestions?

I read on another forum about making a custom planning/journal for our trip. I'm a scrapbooker and am thoroughly enjoying doing this. It's my planning guide for getting ready and I'll bring it down to WDW w/ me and also use it for my journal everynight to jot down what we did every day....that'll be my big souvenier from this trip. If anyone is into doing that kind of stuff, it's really fun!

Well, that's my scoop.
Carrie
