Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

I checked my AA flight out of O'Hare and we're ok because we're taking the 9:30 am but I did see that the earlier flight for that day was no longer on the list. We almost did that one but my husband complained about getting up too early. Thank you DH!

Sorry about AA changing your flights and seats. I don't blame you for being furious. They should compensate you for your inconvenience!

...DD12 is dressing as someone from a Masquarade Ball. She has picked out a mask she wants and now she wants a strapless white gown to wear with it..

Don't know if it's true, but read in another thread that masks are not allowed. My DH will not wear a costume. I might be able to trick him into a themed Tshirt . Would like to find Herman and Lillie Munster. :love2: That's what we call each other.

We'll be there from October 15-21 celebrating DS's 6th birthday and attending MNSSHP on 10/20. We're staying at :

Mod resort (still TBD)- Oct. 15 then OKW for remainder of the trip

We vowed to stay someplace we've never been before and I'm looking forward to a new experience!

Another update!

We normally take the early am AA flight but are driving this time. I hope they bring those flights back for you.

DH wore a mask to the party but I think was told he could only put it on after entering the park and the party was started.

Just booked this evening for DH, DD (age 3) and I. :cool1:

We will be there Oct 8-15 staying at All Star Movies.

How practical is it to add the Magic Plus tickets good for the water parks and Disney Quest to our reservation. Anyone else in October planning to hit the water parks??? I don't know that Disney Quest is something we will do either. Guess I need to do more reading up on that.

Can't wait to go.

We are going to the water parks. At least TL if not both. We also will be doing Disney Quest. Lots of fun! Last time we were there we did DQ twice. DH and DD did that while I went to Cirque. I'm taking DD with me this time so DH will be flying solo at DQ. Not that he'll mind it at all. :rotfl: (they never really grow up, do they?) :rotfl2:

I have a silly question...are there any adults going without children? This will be our honeymoon and would love to check it out. Also does everyone dress up? I just don't want to look silly.

My Fiance and I will be on our honeymoon also! We are going and both dressing up - after all Disney is for children of all ages!

We went our last time and had a blast (2 years ago). Our only regret was not getting dressed up. :)

Just thought I would post in here my vacation plans. My boyfriend and I are going from October 23 until October 29. We are staying off-site, at his mom's timeshare in Kissimmee--Star Island. This will be our 3rd trip together to the area.

Mommyboo could you please update our info. We have decided to stay onsite. We just booked POP Oct 14 -20 and POFQ Oct 20-23. We are also planning to do MNSSHP on Oct. 16.

We have been debating back and forth between on-site and off-site for months, but finally decided that we will use the EMH hours and won't need to pay for parking so it will be about the same price. We love the onsite magic.

Thanks
Deb

Add us to the list. We're going October 16-23. I think we're staying off site(We change our minds every other day) We don't have MNSSHP tickets yet, but some of our possible travel party CAN"T MAKE UP THEIR MINDS! sorry

I didn't know where to post this so I hope this is an appropriate place for such a post in hopes of getting help from other October Disney Families ....

DH and I are taking our 3 year old (will turn 4 the week after Disney) daughter with us for her first ever Disney vacation. We know we are staying at All Star Movies (unless I can convince DH to switch to POP). We have stayed at both Movies and Sports in the past. I would prefer to go with POP simply because it's newer. Our other "to be decided" are: do we add the water park options and DQ options to our tickets as well as adding the dining option or do we just select one or the other. Not really sure that is a question that anybody can answer but us ... financially we need to go as inexpensive as possible YET not have to worry about every nickel and dime we are going to spend while we are there.

Any advice anyone would care to offer would be greatly appreciated.

TIA -- Sarah

I would go to the tourplans site. They have a neat fiture (that's free) and will give you your best (cheapest) ticket options. www.touringplans.com

I can't find it right now. You'll have to play around a bit. But it will help you with your ticket choices.

Thank you so much Lori. I had signed up and paid the membership fee to the tourinplans.com website but didn't realize they had the great ticket pricing feature.

Found the feature ... have been playing with it .. THANK YOU!!!

Glad to hear that! I read about it in the 2005 Unofficial Guide and went and plugged our "stuff" in and had fun playing with it, but then could not find it today. I'm glad you found it. I loved all the opptions it would come up with!
