Who's going 8/2/03 Western cruise?

Hey Rae! You had a mystery cruise on your last Western?!!! Well, last summer our weather was pretty good in August. I guess you never know but I bet we'll be fine.

Yes - "the Mystery Cruise" - it was wonderful and a bit exciting not knowing until late in the afternoon where we would be going!
Sort of fun to do this - even though we had excursions planned, we just "went with the flow" and had a ball!

Looking forward to good weather on our August Western!

My neice just came back from another cruise honeymoon they did the ranch horseback riding but we want to do the beach we ride over land all the time and want something different my daughter has her own horse anyone going on the beach...

I would love to renew our wedding vows during the 8/2/03 cruise anyone else interested in doing this as a group if so I will call and get prices. I thought it might be more affordable if done in a group and since none of us have more than a few family members on board it would not be too crowded to do as a group. I am not sure if Disney would allow this just thought I would put it out there and see if anyone is interested then I will call and ask if we would be permitted to do as a group. I'm thinking 4 or 5 couples. If anyone is interested feel free to email me at suebea75@hotmail.com . Thanks Rae for the list my teens are relived others are going...

With many of us celebrating anniversaries on this cruise wouldn't it be great if we were all invited to dine with the Capt. on Thursday? (Which I believe is the new formal evening)

LadyvsTramp

What a great idea! Tom and I celebrate our 21st on 7/28 and would definitely be interested!!! Maybe we could get that "Dinner with the Captain", cruzindon!!!

Rae

My parents are celebrating their 48 wedding anniversary. I would be interested in the vow renewal, but not sure my husband would go for it. Let me know once you get the information. Beth

I checked on the cost and it is over $1000 dollars almost $1100 a little too steep for me even to share maybe we can all get togeather at Palo's and make our own party who is interested we can pick a night and try to get reservations as soon as we get on board. I have been successful with this in the past usually if you go right away you can get reservations. Maybe even a champagne brunch if anyone is interested share you feelings and we can try to plan. Brunch might be easier to get and does not interfere with the dinner rotation for the different resturants. I vote for Brunch but then again the sunset is great from Palo's so that is not to be missed....Lady Lvs Tramp

OK, I am sooooooo interested in this. We are celebrating our 11th anniversary on the trip...sounds like the captain should be giving us a personal visit!! Would DCL lower the rate if we just did a vow renewal and not the entire ceremony with flowers and private dinner afterward? If we did just the ceremony and had a reservation at Palo's afterwards, sounds like it would be really awesome. My kids would freak if they thought Mom and Dad were getting re-hitched on the boat!! How fun would that be??? OK, if anyone has anymore info, PLEASE let me know!!

thanks,
Michele

Love the Brunch idea.

I would like to make a suggestion. Why don't we just plan our own vow renewal "party"?

We can write a little something to read to our spouse in front of the others, and maybe have a little celebration at Palo afterwards.

Only the concierge level can make their Palo reservations now, I don't know if a group reservation can be made though. Last cruise our friends had included us in their Palo brunch and we met up there - but that was for 4 adults and not a group with children.

This can be a great idea, if we can put our heads together and figure it out!!!

Also - if you would like to share a table with another DIS member, one of you would have to call DCL with the other person's name and reservation number and you can be linked for dinner and be seated together. This can be done now. You do have to have the same dining times though (main or late).

A little late to this thread, but we recently booked this sailing. Will be my DW, DS 15, DD 17 and myself. This will be Disney Cruise #4 for us but first time on Western. Hope to see everyone in the hot tub! (not at the same time though)

Welcome Space Cowboy - nice to have you along with us on this Western Cruise - I'll add you to our list and remember you are invited to meet and greet us at the Promenade Lounge after the Mustering!

Hi guys I am sure that you are all looking forward to the cruise but :( we will no longer be joining you. Unforuntely my husband got laid off of work a couple of weeks ago and we made the very hard descion to cancell our cruise... good news is that we reschedule for next year... I can't believe that we went from 60 to 400 and something days but we had to make sure we could pay the bills...so next year we will celebrate my sons 7th birthday and our 11th annivesary instead;) ...hope everyone enjoys the trip ...I'll be looking forward to reading your trip reports so I now what to look forward to next year.

I'm so sorry to hear that you won't be joining us ... I'm sure that you made the decision that was best for you at this point ... I'm sure that this will make your cruise that much sweeter next year, because all good things are worth waiting for ... and a Disney cruise is way beyond GOOD ....

Psssst .... have you seen the tag fairy??

I'm really sorry to hear that Denise! Try to find the blessing in this unfortunate situation. There is usually a silver lining in there somewhere. You are in our prayers!!

So very sorry to hear this. Our economy is strained now and unfortunately the fallout is coming hard and fast. Please know that our prayers will be with you and him during this time and that after this challenge, you will be able to make that magical trip.

God bless!
