Who's going 8/2/03 Western cruise?

Rae, have you decided on a day for brunch? Where is the link for the updated list-I could only access the old one. We have early seating-not my choice, but it'll be better for my parents-they like to eat early.
Is anyone going mini golfing in Cozumel?
Is there a number to call to request a specific server?
I hope the cruise comes soon-the weather here in Pgh is awful!! Beth

Where is the Teen Disney Board? My DS13 would like to correspond with some other teens before the cruise.

Hello Yankee914,

At the bottom of this page, you'll see: (Contact Us-www.disboards.com). Above it, there's a drop down box which you just click on. This is Dis Home Page and you can access all of Dis Sites.

The thread is on the 1st page which reads: 8/2/03 Cruise and the thread starter is discruisegurl18. This is my daughter Jasmine (age 14) and her sister is Brandi (age 11).

My daughter will be thrilled to hear from your 13 year old.

Counting Down,

Jackie

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been on the boards in a few days.....just winding down from the school year and couldn't find a second to write. Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for their input and advice about the excursions. I noticed that most of you have booked your excursions already, and not through Disney. Is that because the price is better or it just assures that you will get the excursions you want without the chance of them being "sold" out on board?

Hey 8/2/03 Cruisers,

Please check your reservations.

Because we're a family of five, I have a Cat 6 & Cat 11 which I booked onboard last year for 8/2/03.

The Cat 11 went down by $865.00 which will be credited back to me.

I was playing around on the disney cruise site, and discovered the going price. I sent a email to Dreams, they checked it out and the rest is history.

And counting down.

Jackie

Hi,

I just booked my cruise a few weeks ago for the 8/2/03 sailing. Do you mind me asking what your original price was? I am in a category 11 as a family of 4. My husband and I were charged one price and our kids were charged another. I want to make sure I didn't get overcharged.

Anita/mommadukes

Any idea why the price went down? Great savings for you. Will DU automatically check for lower prices? we are in a suite so can't check our price online. Congratulations on your savings! Anyone else get a refund?

Do the same with your airlines - Delta seems to be a roller coaster and although you do not get a refund, you do get a voucher for another trip (taken within one year).

Hi mommadukes,

This is Jazzbran replying not hunnepotgurl. I'm unable to sign my sister out.

Back to your question. We booked a cat 11 onboard/ 1 adult and 2 children last year. The cost was $3811. Total people in the cat 11 is 3.

Your price will be different from mine due to the 4th person.

We also have a cat 6 ( 2 people) which has not gone down unfortunaley but I'll keep checking and hoping.

Hi BethA

I believe Dreams policy is to check but I normally do this on my own.

The boat doesn't look like it's full which could be a reason for the price break.

Hi Jazzbran,

Thanks for the info. on the price of the cruise for your category 11. I'm still trying to work out the numbers to see if I overpaid or not. I did some further looking into the price of the cruise at this point, and the only cabins available were category 10's and 5's. Oh well, at this point, I'm just looking forward to taking my first Disney Cruise.

By the way, have you booked your excursions yet? I had previously posted the questions as to whether or not I should book through Shoretrips or just wait to book on board the Magic. Any advice?

Hi mommadukes,

If you go to disneycrusie.com and click on (making a reservation) you'll find that Cat's 4 thru 12 are still available.

So far, I've booked Capt. Marvin/Stingray City for Grand Cayman.
Last year we had about 10 people on our boat at Stingray compared to another boat which had at least 50. The underwater adventure is also videotaped which you can view onboard before purchasing.

We will book another excursion but we haven't decided which one yet. I'm not familiar with Shoretrips. Maybe someone else can answer that question.

If you decide to book through Disney, don't wait to long. I was placed on the wait list last year for parasailing at Castaway. We enjoyed it but now I'm considering the banana boat ride.

See you soon,

Jackie:smooth:

Parasailing - I think I'm feeling a bit ill right now just thinking of it!!!!

But you go girl!
Rae

Hi Jackie,

Once again I thank you for your input. I think I will book the Stingray City through Captain Marvin as you suggested. A boat with 10 people on it is much more appealing than one with 50!!!

I went to disneycruise.com and found out that categories 4-12 are available for a party of 3 or less. Unfortunately, I need a cabin that can hold 4. I'm still as eager as ever to go on this cruise.

Anita

Hi!

Hope everyone has had the opportunity to review their information on the cruise list. Please let me know if there are any additions/changes or deletions.

I received the suggestion to wear a long sleeved shirt while in the water to prevent sunburn from someone who recently cruised and saw WAY TOO MANY sunburned swimmers.

Just thought I'd pass it on.

Have a great day!
Rae

Ok, I was shocked to arrive home and find my cruise documents waiting for me already. Anyone else get theirs? Beth

Hi Beth,

You must be so excited to have received your documents already. I am so happy for you. I haven't received my documents yet, but I will be looking in the mail for them from here on out.

I used my DVC points so I know mine will probably be the last ones in!

I'd like to have a big showing for Fidelio at "Dueling Pianos" - can we all try to be there for the first Dueling Pianos? Family is first 7:45 - between main and late dining - and adult is later!

Happy trails,
Rae
